"We frequent the palms in Tyson's very often, so we decided to try the DC branch. Needless to say we won't be returning. They ran out of lobsters at 5pm, they undercooked then overlooked my husbands expensive piece of filet, no manager came out to apologize for the incident, and the waitress looked as though she was over the whole thing."

"Was there for lunch and found that they do not skimp on portions and the fried shrimp I had that day was very flavorful. Being that it was lunch, the place seemed to be quite crowded and sometimes the chatter decibal level was extremely high. Could be from the accoustics, of which I don't think there are any."

"My husband and I tried the Lobster special. Although the lobster was good (crab is always tastier), we would probably go with steak next time. The mozzarella/watermelon salad was delicious; the steamed asparagus side was bland. Service was outstanding. The tables are very close together and the noise level almost deafening; fortunately we had an early reservation and no one sat next to us for a while and the food came in a reasonable amount of time."

"I had a fabulous lobster dinner. The Palm offers a wonderful lobster special for two people from June through August. You each get your choice of soup or salad , choice of vegetable and share a four pound, or larger if you want, lobster. The lobster is steamed to perfection and of course they are known for their Palm fries!! It is noisy there, because it is always crowded, so it is a good place to take children, since the adults are usually louder than the children. They have a glass room that looks out onto the street, they has more atmosphere for dining than the rest of the restaurant . I can't wait to go back for another celebration."

"We love this restaurant; everyone has a great time. The staff, together with it's customers, both young and old, all assist to create an fun, happy, and energetic atmosphere. The food comes to tables left and right as if it is floating while the servers stop to talk and listen to their customers. The Palm is a wonderful dining experience to enjoy over and over and over again."

"I had visited this Palm restaurant before so I was expecting an overall fantastic experience. Unfortunately, the service and hospitality was awful, which is not what the Palm stands for or the reason you dine at the Palm. We were not seated at the table I requested (even though it was empty all evening) and the server was awful (he could barely pass as a waiter at a place like Applebees). Overall, very dissapointed with the experience, because the service is what makes a visit in my opinion. After this experience, I would recommend another fine dining restaurant in the DC area."

"Great place for a Steak if you are in the Georgetown side of DC. Our meals were prepared perfectly as ordered ranging from Medium Rare to Medium Well which is critical in a quality steak house. Palms also offers variuos non Steak options for those in the party who desire fish or killer lobster as examples. Our waiter was great with the right attitude and perfect level of attention. Nosie level was a little loud but there was a wine tasting dinner going on and a second large party so I am assuming it was louder than normal on our particular night.

"I have not been to the Palm since they updated their menu. Lots of new choices but I went for the old guard, the filet! And it was fantastic. As was the rest of the meal. At first I felt a little rushed, but once we told the waiter we were not looking to eat our meal in 30 min or less, he magnificently paced our 2 hour event. Pricey, but worth it."

"Another meal at the steak palace! We were seated promptly, and service was attentive and pleasant. As always, the steaks were perfect--cooked exactly as ordered, and accompanied by the delectable creamed spinach and hot, crispy fries. The best spot for traditional steakhouse fare.
Of note: if you want to have any hope of conversing with your dining companions here, try to get seated in a booth. Otherwise, you will experience a 'wall of sound' throughout your meal, even on a 'quiet' night."

"Really noisy in the front room mostly due to an obnoxious large party at an adjacent table. Not the restaurant's fault but it did detract from our dining experience. "Went there for a business dinner and was quite impressed....I had a 14 oz tenderloin, out of this world!
Maybe the side orders selection can be expanded a bit.
However, if you are seated in a booth against the wall it would be a bit difficult to have a conversation because of the noise level. It is better to opt for a round table if you want to be able to hear and engage your guests. Lovely place!"

"We were looking forward to celebrating our Wedding Anniversary as we do every year with a special meal. The palm was very disappointing.
The room temperature was too cold, the service was slow the noise was almost unbearable. Four times the waiters gathered and sang Happy Birthday to a customer.......not my idea of an up market restaurant....if I wanted this I would have gone to The Cheesecake Factory or TGI Fridays.

"I go all the time. Me and friends from work take advantage of their "Power Lunch" menu and it's easy, reasonable, and you get 3-courses. Definitely worth the visit for lunch. On this vist, the only problem was the server. He was a bit too causal and seem to disappear once too often."

"Decor was fun but ambiance was a bit unexpected for me. Dimly lit, which isn't always bad but the noise level was just unpleasant. Maybe it was the acoustics or something but the dining room was packed for a Tuesday night and we could not hear ourselves talk. The food was good but nothing to particularly right home about (the salmon dish I had was not worth the menu price; the same goes for the strip steak one of my friends had, shocker for a steakhouse). Wine list was great but way overpriced (supposedly to be expected). Service was definitely fantastic though!"

"The food was OK, however the lamb chops too fatty. It was too cold in the room but they turned off the AC for a while, taht was nice. The service is OK, but nothing extraordinary.
In short: it's not a real experience and you will not miss anything if you have not been there!"
