"For whatever reason my oysters took about 20 mins to arrive. They were my starter so I was quite surprised that it took so long! My waiter keep appearing and asking if everything was okay, and I keep saying "yes, I am just sitting here waiting for my oysters!""

"Visiting Chicago area (Rosemont) and decided to try restaurants in the area instead of going into the city. Ambience was very nice, staff exceptional and food was wonderful. Overall experience was great. One drawback was parking. If a spot was not available in the very few that they had in the front of building, you had to park in the rear and walk all the way around. There was a door to the building in the back but was locked. Though I don't mind a good walk when the weather is good, not an inviting one if the weather is bad."

"We eat at Nick's Rosemont every six months when we visit the Chicago area. Always on a Thursday, the first night we are in town. The food is extremely good. Service is properly formal, yet friendly. Even though we only are in town twice a year they remember us and treat us as welcome guests. A fine relaxing way to spend our first night in town!"

"Food, service, drinks have always been a staple at Nicks since I have been going since 80's. Nicks never fails to provide the best fresh fish in town and provide impeccable service. I highly recommend this restaurant for business as well as bringing that special person for an excellent dinner."

"Service was slow for such a pricey restaurant. They have it down, the look, the tuxs, clean cut, but then they missed a bit on key elements, had to ask twice for my drink. Took forever to take our order (not a busy night, so no reason) didn't bring bread, had to ask for it. Sort of strange kind of flow happening. The food is fabulous, but for a $54.00 piece of fish, have an expectation of better service."

"The staff is remarkable! Some times a little too pushy. This is not a great value for little money place, so please give us the perfect entire evening out.

"Food was pretty good as was the service. The reason for the pretty good on the service was that in an empty restaurant, they didn't ask if we needed our coats hung as we were squeezed between three jackets and scarves, like pigs in a blanket. After getting a waiter, he was more than happy to help, so then we felt better.
The food was delicious but a little buttery and creamy for me (I have a sensitive stomach) but still great. The only con was that we were rushed out . In to our second bottle of wine, they started flashing lights continuously for five minutes so we can get the point. I'm not sure if we passed closing time but we would have appreciated a better way of being told it was closing time.
Overall a pleasant experience but cost"

"My friend and I happened to go out for dinner at Nick's on Valentine's Day as she was flying through O'Hare last minute for an international flight connection. I had a hard time getting a reservation at a restaurant the week of Valentine's Day but was thrilled that Nick's had an opening at a reasonable time. When we entered the restaurant we were each given a rose which I thought was a very nice touch and throughout the evening had impeccable service from wait-staff, bar servers and management. It was a perfect evening to catch-up in a calm and quiet environment. Our food and wine was delicious. Our cheesecake was so-so, but the Nick's salad, mahi-mahi, wine and sidecar more than made up for it. I'll be returning with my husband!"

"3 of us for dinner, I had steak and lobster, others had filet and one had blackened Mahi Mahi
Surf and turf was excellent as was other filet mignon, however blackened fish wasn't very blackened and quite dry .
Green beans served with all dinners were quite hard also.
I had a Caesar salad and other 2 guest split a Caesar salads were excellent
Also love the half priced wine list, and the ability to take home remaining bottle of wine.

"Very upscale although guests do arrive in jeans too. I always dress appropriately. We are members of Really Nice Restaurants and usually use my gift certificates for this restaurant. Love the half price bottles of wine and the Sea Bass is the best in town."
