"Went to have dinner and listen to live music but the musician ( Don) really didnt do much....we sat down at 645 and by 8 he'd wandered around and hummed to himself and looked out the windows & only sang about 3 songs before taking 3 breaks and visiting people at the bar. Food and service was good except for the banging and thumping of moving tables and chairs the bar area. Will only be back to see Chris Koltak, he's excellent and the reason we started to go to Trappers in the 1 st place."

"The food was plentiful and nicely displayed. Tender prime rib and honeyed ham roasts were carved to your size request and the staff kept them flowing to the carving table. The pancake and omelette station staff quickly produced savory choices that had some guests go back for more. The wait staff kept our beverages full and tables cleared allowing us the luxory to try all the buffets. Our favorites were the blintzes with blueberries and smoked salmon. What a nice way to spend Easter."

"Great food and service! This restaurant is great for that special occasion such as anniversaries or birthdays. It is a 5 star restaurant at the same level as Elway's, Shannahan's or Ruth Chris's. However, people show up on a Saturday evening in sweats and jeans with babies and toddlers. This restaurant deserves customers who dress appropriately and get a baby sitter. While Trapper's is convenient for us, we will look at another place next time we celebrate our anniversary because people don't respect the class of restaurant that it should be."

"I am sad to say that this was not the experience we had hoped for. It isn't like walking into a real nice steakhouse or restaurant. It felt like we were in a hotel banquet room. Unless you had the steak with the volcanic stone where you cooked your own food then you are destined to eat cold food. One in our party had the pork which had good flavor but was nearly ice cold. Luckily for the rest of us, we had the volcanic stone so we were able to reheat our meal as we went. The portions seemed small, especially the cheesecake dessert. It was very tiny. Overall, it was not a great experience even for the $52.80. It seems way overpriced. I would much rather drive a little farther and have a better experience."

"Really, Thank you . We had not been to Trappers even though it is in our neighborhood. I have to say we were impressed with the meal, and the wait staff was outstanding......not intrusive but "vigilant'. We really enjoyed the guitar player as background music also.On special occasions, I order a CC Manhattan on the rocks and truthfully, yours is one of the few establishments that actually got it right ! Congrats and thank you for the wonderful anniversary dinner."

"The picture in the ad with the filet and two tails had me wanting to go to Trappers for years, but it's a bit out of our budget so we haven't. We went last weekend for my wives 40th, and we were so disappointed. Service was great, wine was good, and the meat was very tasty. My lobster was not even close to what it looks like in the picture, and it had no taste to it. It was rubbery and the hot butter had no taste. The salad I swear had no dressing and I couldn't even eat it. I was so excited for a baked potato from a nice place like this, and it was not cooked in the middle. I couldn't get my fork through it as it was so hard. And the kitchen had to know as the scored the potato for me. We truly regret the $185 we spent."

"After reading so many recent negative reviews about the service, I was hesitant to return to Trapper's after having such a great experience there about a year ago. Fortunately, I didn't let the reviews sway our decision, as we had another fantastic experience. Our waitress (Mava) was very friendly and attentive. We were there for the last night of Restaurant Week, and went with the planned menu. Both the Spinach Salad and the Bacon and Bean soup were delicious. The cook-your-own Trappers Sirloin was an excellent cut of meat, incredibly tender, and stayed that way since we could cook it ourselves. And of course the desserts (NY Cheesecake and Chocolate Spoon Cake) were given a thumbs-up by my wife (with the sweet tooth). We will return."

"Trappers Chop House is a good place for some in-town steak, especially if you want a fun experience. The cook-it-yourself option is fun, but it was nice to know that you could let the chefs do your cooking for you if you don't want to ruin a $40 filet mignon by cooking it yourself on a hot stone.
I will say this however, the food was not equal with the price. I would say that with a 10-20% reduction in price, the quality would fall in line. I'm not saying the food is bad, just expensive for what I got. I did find the atmosphere fun, located on the 4th floor of the hotel, it makes it quaint, yet scenic environment. The views from the west side have a good line of sight to the mountains."

"We eat at Trappers often as it's close and really the most upscale restaurant in the area. We were a little dismayed to realize we hit the last night of 5280 and they were participating, as it usually means the service suffers. But it was great as always, and the singer was doing a lot of 70s and 80s stuff, which fit the mood. The only problem ever here is that it tends to get loud, but people move in and out pretty fast during the 5280 feeding frenzy and don't tend to get so lubed and noisy :-)"

A big beautiful horseshoe booth for the two of us. Live music. Friendly but slow service. It wasn't busy enough for slow service.
The mushroom app was tasty..didn't need the pasty pastry underneath, nor the overwhelming balsamic vinaigrette. The mushroom was grilled well enough to stand alone.

"Trapper's is the best for steak lovers and the "Romancing the Stone" method of serving steaks is OUTSTANDING! The steak (many different cuts of beef and buffalo) is served seared on the outside only, then served on a 450 to 500 degree stone! It cooks as you eat it! It's great for any way you like your steak. The best thing is the steak is HOT from the first to the last bite! I loved it!!
The meal was great and the drinks were excellent from the wines to the mixed drinks. Service was excellent and management is very attentive to level of service. I will definitely suggest any steak lover to try this place!"

"Excellent dining out event. We shared our dining experience with another couple. The food was excellent and well prepared. Quick too! The only draw back was that we were seated under a blower vent that started leaking (we had a blizzard going on that night). We moved the table and that took care of the 'leak issue'. The waitress did not re-fill out tea or coffee as requested so we just chalked it up to being busy (not really). Overall, a very nice evening out."

"Food and Service were outstanding. The steak was a great cut of meat and cooking it on the volcanic rock was a nice exprience. The Osso Buco was exceptionally good and the chocolate spooncake with gelato was worth the trip in itself."

"Food was great and the service was even better. THe bar was a little slow, but I found out that I had been sitting on the very end around the corner and most of the action was on the oposite side so the bar tender could not see us in his line of sight so easy to forget us."

"When I see a restaurant located in a Holiday Inn Express, my expectations lower considerably. Trappers is an exception. The food is quite good, though on the high side. The panoramic view of the Rockies is excellent. Try to be there at sundown."

"This was our second bad experience at the restaurant. Steak overcooked, they cooked another one but wasn't at our table until the dinner was finished. We won't be back. Gave you a second chance. Same thing happened last time. Too expensive to have bad food!!"
