"I had dinner at Park with a friend on a Friday night. The place is two blocks away from Harvard square, it is beautifully decorated, and caters to a nice and somewhat upscale crowd. They have an extensive beer list on draft and they greet you with a very good spread and crostinis. We ordered the crab and lobster dip as an appetizier, which was delicious, and after that I had the beef brisket, which was also great. My friend had the turkey sandwich, and he was really happy with the pick. Our server was good, and they offer complimentary still water. All in all, we will go again."

"I hear many good things about Park over the last couple of months but hadn't had a chance to make it there because of my schedule. Suffice it to say that I was eagerly anticipating another good restaurant coming (or "returning") to the Square. I was let down. The menu is actually unimpressive (and this is coming from someone who likes Grafton Street Pub). It is unimaginative. The drinks follow the food. How is it different from what Redline was?"

"I brought my parents to PARK this past weekend. Admittedly, Dad can be pretty picky about his dining experiences--but he could not stop raving about his meal. In fact, he was so taken with the cider collard greens, he asked the waitress how they were made! In 24 years, I have never seen this happen. Delicious, straight-forward food, excellent and creative cocktails, and always a fun neighborhood vibe."

"That review title should have caught your eye; it's one of their appetizers, and it's awesome. The food is delicious, but the portions aren't overpowered, the cocktails are wonderfully crafted & presented, the beer list is excellent, and the wine list is no slouch either. The bar is pretty happenin', so it can get a bit noisy, but not so badly that you can't hear each other.
Highly recommended!"

"Excellent food, service, and drinks. Only issue is that the ambiance is very modern-cuisine dark... which is an attractive quality for the food and restaurant but not conducive to conversation among large parties. So don't go here with a big group, but for a date or small group, Park is wonderful.
I had the monkfish osso bucco and the "poor man's lobster" was absolutely the best I've had."

"We have been to Park quite a few times for cocktails and love the bar tenders. We decided to have to try it out for a nice sit down dinner. The waiter was a bit distracted and there were a few awkward moments. I felt as if I had to wrestle with my pork chop. It was tough and fatty, I salvaged what I could but was disappointed. The steak (which I know is not the best cut) was not any better. The gorgonzola "potato" skins were lack luster compared to their descriptions. The cocktails were fab as always and the beer selection great. Guess we'll just stick to drinking at Park and not bother with dining there anymore."

"Given the reviews on the Park Restaurant, I was expecting a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere was lovely and the wait staff catered to my every need. Also, the noise level was excellent. I could actually hear myself think. I ordered the Beef Brisket which while flavorful was a little too "fatty". The bean casserole as the side dish was dry and flat. I added salt but it didn't help. I ordered the spice cake for dessert which was also dry, saved only by some great vanilla ice cream. I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially since we need good moderately priced restaurants in Cambridge. However, after thinking about it, I doubt that I would return to the Park."

"We went to PARK for restaurant week with two other couples. The ambiance is great - really fun and energetic vibe. The service was a bit on the slow side, but the server was very accommodating and nice. They were busy, and it was a Saturday night at 8pm, but our reservation was ready when we arrived and we did not have to wait. The food had very good flavor, but we chose the fixed menu from the restaurant week offering and it came out warm, but not hot. Restaurant week is a great way to experience new places at a reasonable price, but I do get the sense that it is a bit of an assembly line in the kitchen as a result. In any case, I look forward to going back and ordering off the full menu!"

"We had a fabulous time here, and everything we ordered was fantastic. The salt & pepper mussels were very, very good, as were our entrees (meat pie of the day, and lamb belly). The only tiny issue was that it took an extra long time for our entrees to arrive. Our server apologized, and we had an extra drink, and enjoyed the cozy ambience and our conversation, so no worries. Other people might not be as forgiving."

"This was our second recent visit to Park, and we liked both the cocktails and the food. The salt and pepper shrimp appetizer was very good, although a little heavy on the salt. A creamy soup special was also good. I would like to try one of the meat pies someday, but apparently they run out quickly; the beef brisket was a good substitute."

"PARK definitely made a great first impression on our group. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive, knowledgeable and patient enough to discuss the beer and cocktail offerings as well as some questions about the menu. The food was FANTASTIC! Each of our meals were cooked to perfection and non of us ordered anything too complicated: the veggie burger, the patty melt and a caesar salad with salmon. It was the best caesar salad with salmon that I've ever had, hands down. Ultimately, it was a very pleasant dinner and I highly recommend!"

"Overall, food and service were very good. We liked the atmosphere, which was dark and relaxing. The only problem was that our second drink, which we ordered when our salads arrived, didn't arrive until we finished our main courses. We almost told our waitress that we didn't want them. But, the service was very pleasant and the food was great."

"Crowded, frenetic, a bit claustrophobic around the bar and entrance, but the dining area is more relaxed and inviting, and the food is is kept to a high standard. Good cocktails, great beer selection, serviceable wines. Not a big fan of the naan-like bread offering, but on the other hand, it doesn't fill you up before you even begin."

"My spouse loved the pork chop and the greens that came with it. I had the brisket. I found it to be a bit salty but it was very tasty. It came with a bean cassoulet and some parsnips and carrots that were perfect. A Cold River Martini cost $12 which I think is a little high but it hit the spot."

"Lobster & crab dip was delicious! Very rich and cheesy, so the portion was perfect for an app, but I could have continued eating ;-). My lamb belly was a little under-seasoned, but the quinoa and veggies with it were great. My boyfriend got the bar steak, which is amazing (the steak was cooked exactly as requested and the sides were so yummy!). Good ambiance though a little loud (because of the bar area) but it was fun and lively - just not where you'd have a "quiet" dinner."

"Excellent food! One of my favorite dishes is the bacon 3-ways appetizer. Much better than the previous restaurant that occupied this location and the bar has a great welcoming feel. Excellent drinks (ask for a scotch with a giant ice ball) and a fun, energetic location. It is one of our favorite locations in Harvard Square. Tastier food than Grafton St. or Russell House. I highly recommend Park."

"Tables are very small. This makes service especially important. We had a good server. But she did not deliver our entrees. Ther server that brought the entrees did not notice ahead that the table had not been cleared. Instead of taking the entrees away while the table was cleared he made us help him juggle the appetizer dishes. I felt I was in a diner. I believe Park aspires to better."

"Liked it a lot - first time at a new-ish place is always a crapshoot but not at PARK. We we seated promptly, had a great waiter in Ryan, really enjoyed the starters (beet salad in particular, and the clam chowder was awesome) and the mains, fish (salmon and trout) and a bone-in pork chop, were EXCELLENT. It's cozy, with low ceilings, and the perfect place for dinner on a snowy night.
I work in Harvard Square: when are they going to open for lunch? All-in, it was a great place and a great meal."

"We've enjoyed the great and changing selection of beers at the bar before, but were never able to make it for dinner until recently. We had the Tasting of Toasts and the crispy duck/sweet potato cake with egg to start. The toasts were a fun way to taste some new flavors. The crispy duck was fantastic. Great texture, flavors, and the egg yolk. Yummy. It's 7:30 a.m. and I would eat one now. For entrees, we ordered the trout and the meat pie of the day (pork and apple), and a side of the mushroom bread pudding. The trout was absolutely amazing. The meat pie was elegant comfort food - tons of filling, perfect crust, very yummy. And the bread pudding is also fantastic - moist, delicious, very mushroomy. Service was also great!"
