Located in Victory Park at the front door to American Airlines Center, Victory Tavern is a stylish but unpretentious restaurant serving contemporary interpretations of American culinary classics. With modern-day versions of American tavern and steakhouse favorites priced from $10 to $32,
"Wow, Ive got to tell you, It was the worst. We are big fans of this place before and after games, but this time was terriable. There where just a few people in there and service was the pits! Four out of four meals stunk. Total not like this place. The fish and chips my son-inlaw got looked like it was a kids meal. The first burger my daughter got was wronge, the second looked like a meatball on a bun. The steaks we ordered where done incorrectly also. We left most of our meal behind. Like I said, totally not like this place. It will be a while before we return."

"This was out first time here, and service was very good and food was very good also. I will return on our next event at the AA Center. The location can't be more perfect for dining before a game or musical event. We might just take the train just to eat at the Victory Tavern."

"I've been to this place before and not sure what happened. The ribs I had were tough so I really had to dig in to get the meat off the bone...it was extremely messy. They did not give me a wet napkin and had to go to the rest room to clean up. Not sure what happened. Tables are a little too close, but generally a nice atmosphere."

"Our family of 4 - husband, myself and two teenagers - went for Easter Brunch. The food and service were fabulous. Enjoyed the appetizer buffet and the entree selections. The desserts were huge - took them home and enjoyed them that evening. Great location, contemporary decor."

"the food was marginal for the price. The ribs were overcooked and to compensate for the dried out pork they were slathered in so much sauce you couldnt hold onto them. Kid's fries were old and limp. Kid's grilled cheese was on a whole grain bread with nuts and made with cheddar cheese. (Who ever designed that for sure has no children). Crab Nachos were burnt on the corners. Kid's mac and cheese and wedge salad were ok."

"We ate before a Dallas Stars hockey game, so atmosphere was very energetic. My husband and I had salads, so not much to evaluate as far as food. Server was very attentive."

"Food and service were very good. We were in town for the Mavs game and it was a great experience. Had a good meal and just walked across street to arena then had a drink after"

"Always attentive service before a game. It is the best venue, timing wise, of any of the Victory restaurants. The table is always ready on time, and the service is specifically geared towards getting you to the game on time, no matter what time you arrive. None of the other Victory establishments have mastered this skill."

"Poor customer service lead to a bad experience. Hostess/manager handed me the lunch menu and would not allow my group to order the hamburger. After taking the wrong menu from me the waitress brought the same menu again. Again, they would not let us order from it and After escalating to a manager (the same hostess) they agreed it was an error and we negotiated with them for a free round of drinks. We felt that was fair and accepted their apology. Food was good overall but as we wrapped up our food and drinks the manager/hostess came by and stated that she needed the table and needed us to leave. We were shocked and as they took our plates she stated to compensate she would give us another round but we needed to drink them at the bar."

"It was prior to the Maroon 5 concert but the service was very disorganized. We've been there many times before events and have always had good service. Also, don't sit upstairs by the wine shelving. We must have been interupted 8 or 9 times by waiters coming to get bottles of wine behind our table which was very tight to the shelves. Been to Victory lots of times and will go again but won't sit at that table again."

"Food was amazing. The crab nachos were crispy and flavorful. Calamari was the real deal - fresh!!! Our beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. The kitchen staff accommodated our request to split the entrée with no attitude which was quite refreshing! Price was surprisingly low for the quality of outstanding food and service. Victory Tavern is a downtown secret!!"

"The special was amazing, Mahi cooked to perfection! Pork tenderloin was probably the best ever had. The staff was on top of everything despite the huge crowd for the concert. I would make the drive from Fort Worth just for the food."

"Not used to sitting at a bar table for a dinner reservation at 5:45pm....still, food was tasty and service attentive. Hey, it's all about convenience before Stars / Mavs games, right?"

"Great dinner spot right next door to the American Airlines Center. Tasty food, quick service, hip/loud dining (at least on the lower level). Drinks are a bit overpriced, but what do you expect in this part of town? All in all, a nice place to grab a meal before walking over to AAC. The hummus appetizer was yummy, but our entrees were nothing spectacular.
Best part is that you can valet park your car for $10 and pick it up after the event (in our case, it was after the P!nk concert). Just make sure to have your parking validated by Victory Tavern."

"The restaurant was a great location before the concert at the AAC. The server was very nice, although he didn't have alot of knowledge about the beer selections. He did find answers to my questions, though, and made a good recommendation. The filet was a bit overcooked and dry, but the salmon was cooked perfectly."

"Chose this restaurant due to its very close proximity to American Airlines Center. Both salads were the best part of the meal, the entrees and deserts were mediocre at best. Service was extremely poor. Even with a half full restaurant, it still took our waiter 30 minutes to refill my glass of water. Salads did not come from kitchen at the same time. Cup of coffee took almost 15 minutes to bring. Outside temperature was 36 degrees and the restaurant had the AC on. Requested to turn the blowers above us as we were cold and wore our coats the entire meal. Would not recommend."

"We have been dining at Victory Tavern before STARS games since the restaurant opened. We have noticed a significant DECREASE in food quality and service in the last 12 months. This season, in particular...Menu has become boring, Ahi Tuna chewy, Chicken Caesar with COLD and "hard" chicken...wait staff that is forgetful, or maybe just over-worked....WE have decided to meet friends at other locations for dining before games...Maybe we'll try again next season...sorry."

"Was expecting this place to have more patrons on Valentine's Day, but thankfully it didn't. Their 3-course menu selection was perfectly paired by our waiter with an excellent wine selection. Prices were excellent, food was amazing, and staff was courteous and attentive. My only complaint was valet was $10.00. That's the highest I've seen in Dallas except for event venues."

"Food and service were both very good. I thought the wine by the glass was a little expensive. It seemed quiet on the night we went and thay only had a few tables occupied. I would definately try again when back in Dallas."

"Even though we made a reservation we didn't get seated outside; we were then seated in a booth by the bar which was noisey and people were standing infront of the table. We asked to be moved to the main dining area (which had a lot of empty tables) and were seated in a big booth. We noticed one of our favorite wines was no longer on the list...I ordered the Ahi Tuna and found it to be very chewy...having order this many times, I was disapointed. The Tuna wasn't in nice slices like usual, but odd size pieces and chuncks. Fish and Chips ordered by others was good and another person had the Trout special which she liked. We found the restaurant to be extremely noisey."

"My dining at Victory Tavern is usually pre-Mavs or Stars. Reservations are essential pre-game as it is usually packed (and thus a bit noisy), but reservations are always timely honored. The food is excellent, although sometimes the final check seems just a bit pricey. The service is always excellent. Highly recommended."
