"We love coming to Fresca for brunch for the Mimosa's and food. we had out of town guest and wanted to take them to our favorite restaurant in Noe valley, However not happy that we made a reservation for 4 and had to wait over 20 minutes to be seated. When we finally were seated in the far back of the restaurant it took another 10 minutes just to get water and service. What's the point in making a reservation if I'm going to have to wait to be seated. The food was pretty good but the service was very slow."

"I eat and drink here whenever I am in the city. I love all of the ceviches and the bar menu - especially fond of the Pisco Sour although I have friends who go here for the Balsamic Strawberry Margaritas. On this particular night I brought two people new to Fresca, and unfortunately, the service was very, very slow. Food was great. First Pisco Sour was sloppy in that the bitters were not the usual perfectly placed drops on the top of the eggwhite but were mixed in. Ceviche was great. My recommendation is to order the side dishes like yucca, plantain, etc. and the ceviche. Ordered the lamb shank - which was good, but the side dishes that the others ordered were better. Will go back again. Service has been good up until this visit."

"I've now been to three of the restaurants (24th St, West Portal, & Pacifica) he owns and have really liked all of them. Very good food and a nice alternative to the normal California menu."

"My seared Ahi with purple mashed potato was wonderful! My husband was not as lucky with his aji de pollo which was good but slight mushy. Luckily the Picarones which we shared were great - just like I remember in Peru."

"Ate here for Mother's Day brunch. The bottomless mimosas were fantastic and, well, bottomless. The menu was unique and all six of us enjoyed our dishes. The only drawback was that, despite the restaurant being only half full, the service was slow to the point of non-existence. It took at least ten minutes for someone to come take our drink orders and another ten before we ordered food. The mimosas helped us keep our patience and I would certainly like to go back."

"We always have a terrific dinner at Fresca. The food is very unusual and the service always great! The selection of choices is extensive and they have great drinks and wine. I have been going there since the first opening in West Portal and have never been disappointed. It's a "can't miss" place...."

"Typical Latin place...loud and high energy! The food here was very good. The ceviche assortment is great. You could make a dinner of the apps alone. Do have a pisco sour if you have never had one."

"I've been to Fresca for dinner several times, and it's always been good. However, brunch is another matter. Even at opening time, when the place is empty for the first hour, service was a bit slow and forgetful. More crucially, my dish was awful. Chicken hash featured stringy, tough chicken threads, too much liquid (broth - does hash have broth? No.), and it was tepid at best. A lousy meal, which surprised me. I'll consider it for dinner, but not for brunch."

"It was good and all, but honestly, I think I prefer the Fresca in the Fillmore a lot more. It's smaller, but the food tastes better and the portions seem a bit bigger. Also, my group had reservations for 8:30, but we weren't seated for another half hour atleast. Other than that, the service was great. The food was good too though. The place is really nice! The vibe was really good."

"Overall food was great. Service not so much. No water ever replaced. We had to ask for another round of wine(never came)Bartender super weak pours on 13.00 a glass Malbec(not even half a glass(didn't matter, never received the second request)at the end of the meal 5 minutes after paying waiter asked us TO LEAVE because they had a lot of people waiting. Are you kidding me? NEVER AGAIN"

"We still like Fresca, but we had been returning because it was previously outstanding! Dishes were consistently tasty & satisfying. Service had always been great and we never left lacking anything.
This last visit, we noticed the portions on our favorite trio of ceviche were much smaller and not as tasty. We were really disappointed because we had just returned from Peru compared the ceviche there to Fresca and were satisfied that we had been getting the good stuff at Fresca. This time, not so much.
The server was pretty helpful in the beginning, but the food took a great while to get to us, with no particular acknowledgment and once we were served, we never saw the server again until we tracked him down for the check. We'll try again"

"We enjoyed the coconut shrimp appetizer and the ahi tuna entree. I asked for the more traditional paella rather than the one offered on the menu and this was accommodated. This is a seafood paella and it was just OK. I still prefer the older version, no longer on the menu, which included seafood with chicken and chorizo. The chef said he could do this version on request in the future. The service is friendly and capable. There are also interesting wines by the glass and a full bar. Overall, we enjoy Fresca and will be back."

"Had a bday dinner with a friend here. Everything was delicious! There was a guy walking around handing out jello shots which was good and strong. I would come back again. It's pricey but you get a lot of it and it is worth every penny."

"Nice lunch. I'd been here months earlier and had a meal that I found to be a bit heavy and oily. The lunch was refreshing and light. Had the ceviche, a whipped potato ahi tuna appetizer and a Julio Cesar salad which was creative and very nice."
