"It was good, probably not the high end restaurant that it's past boats, but it was nice for Sunday lunch after church service. My expectations were more the lines of III Forks and Del Frisco, but it was more like Harrigan's and Tippen's which were really nice restaurants from my college years at UTArlington."

"I read quite a few reviews in an effort to find a solid choice for dinner in the historic district of Dallas (Reunion Tower area). My fiancé and I were staying at the Hyatt and there are many, many good restaurants near (walking distance) the Hyatt property. I decided to make reservations at The Butchershop Steakhouse and was very happy with my experience. The restaurant has a good feel and decor (white tablecloth) and even better service and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner including appetizers, main course and dessert. I can honestly say that The Butchershop Steakhouse was outstanding in every way. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will return there again on my next Dallas visit."

"Steaks, salmon, and wine were very good. We had a great waiter was very attentive to our party of 8. One of the best things is that is was quiet and you could hear and talk to everyone at the table. Background music was playing, but at appropriate level."

"The evening started out great. We arrived at 6:55pm for a 7:00pm reservation. We were seated right away. Our server came by within 5 minutes, took our drink, appetizer, and meal order. Drinks arrived and appetizers shortly after. We finished our appetizers, and then our meals arrived. That was the last time we saw our server. Our server did not bring our dinner salads, no drinks refills, no more bread, and no steak sauce. Our server seemed more concerned with a large group a few tables over. We waited 30 minutes after we finished our meal for our server to come back to our table. Despite the terrible service, the food was excellent."

"Handled our group of 20 wonderfully. The service was great and the food was wonderful. Waitor had great support, none of our glasses were ever empty and the timing of food delivery was perfect. We all dined dutch and they split our check with a smile on their face. They even called us cabs back to the hotel. Would definitely recommend this place!"

"If you're planning to go here, skip the reservation and just plan to arrive early. All reservations for the day we went was completely disregarded and everyone were waiting from the time of arrival. Average wait time for 1 hr even though they told us 30 minutes. In the end, just be upset and be rude to the hostess and you'll get a table right away.
Once we were taken to our table, it was a delight. Our waiter was polite and was tentative to our table. The food was very good and paid tribute to the restaurant's name, rustic sides and more euthanism on the meat.
Other than the wait, the restaurant and experience was very pleasing."

"The bar is inviting. The waitress was attractive and took our order quickly - a generous glass of merlot was a nice way to start the evening.
Ordered tortilla soup that was luke warm, but the presentation and flavor were good. I just don't like it when soup is not piping hot.
It was Valentine's Night, we had a 7 p.m. reservation and it took 15 minutes to get seated although there were a number of open tables. Couldn't understand why we had to wait at the bar for 15 minutes.
We had a simple order (caesar salad with cajun shrimp and a grilled chicken/potatoes and steamed broccoli) and it took more than 40 minutes to get the food.
We missed or train back home because of the time it took to have dinner there."

"We made reservations at 7 o'clock it became 8 o'clock and they still have not seated us so the general manager seated us in the bar area and we ate in the bar area even though we had reservations for six we seated at a table it was only made for four so do not recommended the general manager was very very sweet the manager was awful and the host work terrible do not recommend it at all,..."

"The best part about this place was the service. Very attentive wait staff - we were there with a group of 8, and they did a great job making sure everyone was taken care of.
The food was ok - while it had good flavor, the steaks were thinner than other places. If you're expecting a 2 inch thick cut of meat...this isn't the place.
Overall, a good spot for a casual business meeting place."

"DO NOT EAT HERE....My nightmare, compounded by inept management, ended with 2.5 hours of waiting, and NEVER GETTING A MEAL. Had a 7:15 reservation (using Open Table)...arrived at 7:15...waited an hour to be seated. Ordered IMMEDIATELY....and at 9:45 we still did not have any food. GM came to table and tried to pacify us with a free bottle of wine (7 people in our party) and then HE disappeared, no wine, no food....we got up and left. Terrible...just plain terrible. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!"
