"We went to Copper for a special occasion after hearing a lot of people swear up and down that it was the best Indian restaurant they've ever been to...we had a different experience. We were seated at our table for at least 30 minutes before the waiter came by to ask if we were ready to order. We had received water and bread by another waiter, but our waiter was nowhere to be found when we wanted to order wine or if we needed anything. The ambiance and the food were good, but we've seen better for cheaper prices. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was good, but I've definitely had better at cheaper restaurants where the service is impeccable."

"We went to Copper for a business lunch with two Indian colleagues. We were not offered a wine list or any beverage other than water. That was disappointing. We requested a dish "Indian" hot, but it was no hotter than the "Mild Hot" dish. Waiter was dry and did not come across as friendly. Overall, it was just an "OK" experience."

"Our first trip to Copper was excellent. This one resulted in a ruined Valentines night dinner. First, no offer of coat check was made. We asked, and were obliged. Then we were offered a table situated in a doorway next to the host and front door on a cold night. We declined and received another. Next we were brought the wrong bottle of wine. We sent it back and were told the wine we selected was "very popular" that night, and not available. Furthermore, our waiter was not able to suggest another wine. Curious at best. Also, the naan did not arrive until after the food, and only after we asked for it. Finally the chicken in one of the dishes was overcooked and tough. This was a very disappointing in light of our first experience here."

"We went to Copper for my husband's birthday. I don't think I've ever had better service. We were greeted when we came in, they wished my husband a happy birthday, the waiter took the time to explain the entire menu to us. They really made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant even though we weren't. The ambiance was beautiful and very romantic which is just what we were looking for, and the food was incredible!! I have been to India and eaten authentic Indian food and this was some of the best Indian food either of us had ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will certainly be back."

"I made reservations and brought my girlfriend for dinner. It was right when they began dinner service, so it was quiet for a short period. Our dinner was from the Charlotte Feast menu for Copper. After our appetizers, people piled in steadily. Before I knew it the dining area was filled in our section; this did not lessen the great service we received. Food was fantastic, service was excellent, and we will surely make a return trip to Copper to try out the regular menu items."

"This was our first time at the restaurant and we definitely plan to return. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made several recommendations. It was fairly quiet and you could talk without having to raise your voice over others in the restaurant. The food was exceptional and the various sauces and spices enhanced the taste of the food.Copper is one of the best restaurnants we have been to in Charlotte and we highly recommend it to others."

"Went to restaurant as part of Charlotte Restaurant Week. Appetizers were great: a paneer and a ginger soup. Entrees were small in size; The wife had portobello dish with two mushrooms that were almost too spicy to eat, three tablespoons of peas, and one piece of broccoli. I had the salmon with spinach and potatoes. It didn't have anything distictly Indian about it. Desserts listed online for the tasting menu looked great, but all that was available at the restaurant when we were there was chocolate cake and a french silk pie. They were small portions of desserts would could have gotten anywhere.

It was worth going to try the place, but happy we didn't have to pay the normal full price for the experience. I don't think we will return."

"A beautiful interior and wonderful food would be enough, but Copper tops it off with an incredibly friendly and capable staff.

Meals were presented beautifully, were of appropriate serving sizes, and absolutely did not disappoint with their flavors and quality of ingredients.

I will put Copper on my list of places to frequent."

"The food was terrible and not authentic Indian. The use of spice was good but the salmon was very overcooked and dry. Would not recommend. Cooper's lighting was way to dark. It was hard to view the menu. The food came out very slowly. Almost 40 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. They were out of the wine listed on the menu and tried to sub a cheaper wine for the same higher cost. Very disappointed."

"Copper is truly a gem in Dilworth. With excellent service, an ever-changing menu, and impressive presentation, Copper is a round trip from New York to Mumbai. One of the simplest dishes on the menu, the Chicken Tikka Masala, is nothing short of a masterpiece. If you have never tried Indian fare, make a special trip to Copper. The bar will be set very high, but you will understand how excellent Indian food can be, even in Charlotte!"

"This restaurant is located in a delightful area on East Blvd. During warm weather you can sit outside to eat. You have a choice in how you want to experience Indian food. "I went in thinking 'I don't really like curry', but boy was I wrong. They serve a variety of styles of curry that I had never heard of. The food was fantastic. We had a party of six and the service was great. We didn't feel rushed, but also didn't have to wait long between courses, even though we all ordered something different. I wish I could recommend a dish or two, but each person in our party thought what they'd ordered was the best - so in essence, there doesn't seem to be a bad item on the menu. Even though the dinner was a little more expensive than we're used to, I would gladly eat at Copper again...in fact, I look forward to it."

"This is good Indian food, not great. Considering you can get the same type of food for way less, you need to enjoy the setting. Very vibrant inside and attractive. Service was just ok. We were seated near a very large and very loud group. They have a nice patio which looks very inviting if the weather is warm."
