Siena Bistro is an intimate restaurant hidden behind Lincoln Avenue in downtown Willow Glen where you can dine with good friends or have a romantic evening. Enjoy the lovely patio for al fresco dining. Due to the location, Siena bistro is a "secret" to some people, but those who find it say it's like stepping into another world. A wide selection of salads, and pastas are offered with delicate, yet mouth watering flavors. Our friendly staff will help you decide between house favorites such as our fresh salmon, sole almandine or beef bourguignon. Well researched California and Mediterranean wines, are the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Brioche Bread Pudding, Lemoncello Tiramisu or any of our house-made desserts would be a perfect ending to your dining experience. We hope to see you whether it is your first visit or you are one of our many regulars!
"The special for two which includes a bottle of wine is a great value. Some in our party had the sole almandine which was very good as was the gnocchi. The pork ribs could use a little more marinate to give it more flavor. The waitress was very friendly and efficient."

"We had a lovely dinner and, having gotten there a bit on the early side, had a quiet time before the place filled up. I'm always happy with their food, and the service this time was excellent. You really can't beat their Tuesday/Wednesday special!"

"We have been here a few times and the food is always very good. Our favorite is the angry pasta and apple cinnamon bread pudding. The shrimp appetizer is great too. Food is very good quality and just the right amount. We will be back."

"Unfortunately was stuck next to an obnoxiously loud party inside, we could barely hear our waitress, who did a nice job of trying to make light of them, let alone try to speak with our guests at our own table. Horrible job by management of crowd control.
We're at this restaurant fairly often, but normally on the patio; if this experience eating inside is repeated, it may be a fair weather restaurant, or sadly, not at all...total waste of time and money Wednesday night."

"The food was fantastic. The baby spinach salad was so delicious that it took it's rightful place as "the best salad I've ever had." The entre also took a first because I had never before considered the purpose or noticed the presentation of any food; ye tI was momentarily mesmerized when the pork picatta was placed in front of me--so elegant and enticing! I ended my meal with the unexpectedly marvelous bread pudding. Who expects bread pudding to be anything other than sweet, mushed bread? I only ordered it because it had been strongly recommended, and was I in for a surprise! There was nothing mushy about THIS bread pudding, possibly because it was made with a brioche rather than the stale bread my mother would have used."

"I have had a lot of clam chowder in my day. The chowder I had on Friday at Siena Bistro was definitely one of the best ever. No shortage of clams, great flavor and consistency. Don't miss out on the aged balsamic when having your bread and olive oil...you have to ask for it. Caesar salad was also top notch. The dinners we ordered, while not as extraordinary as the soup and salad, were flavorful and served in good-sized portions. If they have the salted caramel gelato on the dessert menu, you gotta have it."

"Very friendly staff and an interesting menu and wine list. The owner/chef came and talked to our group of 10 at least 3 times. Very enjoyable evening at reasonable price."

"Excellent food, really nice variety or items all executed well. The owner, Dave, is constantly working the room, welcoming new guests and chatting with the regulars. Ask for a recommendation or an adjustment to ingredients and he'll do his best to accommodate. The staff is friendly and attentive. The wine selection is solid and reasonably priced."

"Nice place and very good food. Our server was charming but a bit inattentive. Appetizers came out quickly and then a long wait for entrees. Still, we will go back for the food and charm. Pricing is very reasonable."

"Fabulous food! The deconstructed chicken pot pie was elegant and delicious. Our waitress was the perfect combination of charm and professionalism. I also like that it is sweetly tucked away behind busy Lincoln Ave."

"We had 6 members in our party, and everyone went home satisfied. It was a first time visit for all of us, and the food did not disappoint! A few of us ordered specials (lamb, gnocchi) and a few ordered regular main dishes (meatloaf, pork piccata, rib eye steak). Delicious all around (we sampled each other's dishes!). Siena Bistro had a great wait staff, and Chef David even came out of the kitchen after dinner to visit with the patrons! It really made our visit memorable and personal. We would DEFINITELY return to Siena Bistro again!"

"We enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The service was wonderful. We enjoyed the beet salad and the warm brie salad. My wife's the lamb special was definitely overcooked. My spaghetti was with meat sauce was quite tasty. Presentation was excellent. We would visit it again. Great wines!"

"I took a friend for her birthday lunch and booked ahead stating it was her b'day. I was disappointed she did not receive a free b'day dessert....most restaurants do this. I do like the restaurant and the food is very good."

"Everything I read on yelp was true. Cheesy garlic bread was excellent! I got warm brie salad. It was ok. Not worth $12. My husband ordered the Eggplant Involtini- it was very good. I got the rigatoni pasticciati al pesto. This dish again was just ok. It is a small restaurant. All tables for 2 are near front door. Asked for table in back, luckily it was not a busy night so they gave us a table for 4.The restaurant was very noisy because of the size & we could hear our neighbor's conversation.Only 2 servers were attentive, but service was slow.Would not recommend for a quiet romantic dinner. I would come back if I was with a group of people who wanted to go. Patio closed cuz rainy, but looked nice."

"Very disappointed with our experience. While it has a great deal of charm and outside seating was nice, it failed to deliver.
Initial experience with service was poor, as the hostess/owner(?) failed to greet us. The waitress did step in to verify the reserv. and relay our name, but Hostess then walked away, w/o a smile, or even a "please follow me". We were left standing there not knowing to follow or get out of the way. Process was completed, as we found her standing at a table and were then handed menus abruptly, again without a word, an intro to our waiter, or even a courtesy "enjoy your meal". Waiter was good, but food was only fair at best, with a 1/4" thin NY stks overseasoned and overcooked. Won't be back, unfortunately."
