"We came here for the prix fixe lunch during Restaurant Week. It's a lovely, friendly place that plays good music (I enjoyed it). To start, we got the frisée salad (one of my favorite salads so it was exciting to find on the menu) and the beet salad. I was also pleased to find mussels as the main dish- they came in a saffron sauce that I've never had and pretty good, crispy fries. mmm! We also got the roast chicken, which tasted good, but was a little dry. The dessert was the most guilty pleasure you could imagine- a pear crumble. It was beautiful and delicious. Just a small dish of this dessert probably contained a whole stick of butter, but it was worth it. Definitely a special occasion dessert! All in all, our experience was great!"

"Dining experience was nice, better then expected. Though the location seemed out of the way, the waiters and waitresses were extremely nice and attentive. Food was pretty good considering we went during restaurant week and sometimes quality may dip a little at most restaurants. My favorite was their quick saute of zucchini. Apparently this is their signature dish and though it looked very light, it was surprisingly very flavorful and tasty. I even liked the fact that we got a recipe card for this dish upon receiving our bill. Overall a very nice and comfortable experience. I would absolutely recommend this place to friends who are just looking for a comfortable but classy casual dining spot, especially late at night since they open so late."

"Great place!! My girlfriend and I live in Washington, DC and we came up to NYC for the weekend during the holidays. We could not have drawn up a more perfect place to eat. The restaurant has a very cozy feel. The wood plank walls and the large hanging candle lanterns give the dining area a elegant southern charm. As my brother (who recommended The Red Cat) said "Why wouldn't you want to go there? They have bacon tempura!" Apparently, the bacon tempura was featured on the Food Network, and I assure you it will not disappoint. The service was excellent and he even helped us out with a speedy dinner because we were late for a show. Food = excellent. You could tell everyone in the restaurant was happy. Everyone will want to share!"
