"Our dining experience was over the top. The tapas, soup and entree's were excellent. Our evening dining experience was among a wedding party and reception which at times became very loud, but Cafe Madrid did everything to ensure that our dining experience was great.

Although, I had failed to listen to the voice mail left by Todd, they had accommodated my request to move our reservation to an earlier time. They were gracious enough to make room for us when we arrived an hour later and treated us with special care. Thanks!"

"Its a beautiful restaurant with great food, great atmosphere, and great staff. It is a world class caliber but you don't have to travel to a foreign country to go there. I have traveled a lot and dined in many foreign countries and Cafe Madrid is one of the best !"

"My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The restaurant was very comfortable and romantic. The staff was very helpful in picking the right dish. The food was perfectly prepared and very flavorful - GREAT sauces.

The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.
The wait staff is knowledgeable about their wines. Even though I did not recognize most of their wine list, I asked for something similar to what I knew, and it was very close and good.
The food is a little more expensive, but celebrating a special occasion, it is worth it.
The tapas (cold and hot) are very different and delicious.
The entrees are appealing and the portions are the right size.
Many of the desserts are very light and refreshing and enough to share."

"The food was very good, especially the gazpacho and paella tapa. The downside to our experience at Cafe Madrid was the slow service. We had a 7:30 reservation and arrive promptly at the time expecting to be seated. Instead was waited 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence and additional delays between ordering and getting our food courses."

"Was celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, we were in a room with a large party, I felt a little out of place, it was loud, noisy and kids running around. We should have asked for another table but didn't want to embarrass ourselves or the other guests. It was not the romantic evening I was looking forward to. The food (cuisine) was good but not extraordinary. When I ate the leftovers the next day, the rice was missing, too bad it was good. I also think the food was overpriced for the quantity given. The clam appetizer we ordered was a standout! My recommendation: when customers make a reservation, the restaurant should ask if it's a "special" occasion, and seat them in areas that would be welcoming of their "occasion."

"Café Madrid continues to be a great place to dine. I have been going there for years and continue to have great dining experiences. The food is interesting and tasty, and the selection of tapas on te menus ensures that there is something for everyone. What really makes dining at Café Madrid so enjoyable is the service. In a dining world based on speed, table turn and expedited meals, it is refreshing to know that a meal is best enjoyed when you know the table is yours for the evening. The serving staff works with you and recommends pairings of food not only with the plentiful wine list but with each item on the menus to ensure that every bite can be sublime. For classical service with a pallet for adventure there is no better place."

"This was our first time with actual spanish cuisine. A quiet and romantic ambiance, very knowledgable server on both food and wine, and the entire staff was helpful and attentive to all of our questions. We would definitely recommend this to any couple looking for a new dining experience. We were to full for dessert, but our server insisted we try a complimentary tiramisu, which was absolutly deliscious! We will return in the near future."

"I LOVE Cafe Madrid and try to go as often as I am able to. I have read about noise level issues that others have had but had never experienced it until last night. A large group was there celebrating a birthday and they were extremely loud and at times profane. That would normally not bother me but there were some older customers there who were visibly bothered by it which in turn was bothersome and embarrassing to me.
The food was exceptional, as usual. We had the Croquetas as appetizers fir the furst time. While the ham Croquettas were good the spinach croquettas were sensational.
The service however was VERY slow. While Spanish dining is traditionally lengthy as to enjoy yhe company and the food, in this case it was simply slow."

"A very nice neighborhood restaurant offering some good Spanish dishes and wines. Our paella was tasty although we remember "the old Café Madrid" paella being amazing. The service was attentive and professional. We had ordered the paella but decided to try one tapa which was a complete disappointment.. " a rubbery texture" sausage with a fig sauce. Enjoyed our wine, paella and desserts but decided to leave sooner when the noisy party of 8 sat next to us.

"The food, service and ambiance was perfect. Every bit of food was delicious and fresh and perfectly prepared. The art work throughout the restaurant was gorgeous! I will definitely be returning to Cafe Madrid again and again. In addition, I was greeted by the owner on the way out of the restaurant and he took special care to insure I enjoyed my meal. That type of customer service is lost and was a welcome change."

"I thought the food was fine but a bit pricey. My wife thought the sauces over powered the tenderloin rather than enhance the flavor. Waiter was nice but difficult to understand. We probably will not return."

"It seems to me your special features questions are terribly limited and don't really apply to this restaurant. The food here has always been excellent and the wait staff top notch. Due to the prices of the entrees I don't believe it is an every day restaurant, but more for special occasions. It is a place I like to go to treat myself or someone special and have always had a wonderful time. The wait staff are friendly and not stuffy or snobby. I have always felt comfortable and welcome here. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks my recommendation for a special place with consistently good food and service."

"My wife and I went for Valentine's Day and were impressed with the food. The sauces with the beef were heavenly, the appetizers were magnificent. The restaurant is well decorated and lighting just right. Being Valentine's Day, the restaurant was full the entire time we were there and thus was fairly noisy. The surprise was the bill at the end, $80 per person with no alcohol. Thumbs up for the food and service, thumbs down for the noise and price."

"Wonderful place! Was treated like a long lost friend. Absolutely loved it! My only critique was that we waited a very long time for the waitress to even notice us. And a family that was seated 5 minutes after us were finished with their dessert before we even received our entrees. No excuse can be made for that, and it should be improved. But everything else; Todd, the food, the ambiance, it was incredible and an unforgettable night!"

"When we arrived, we had a reservation, however still waited 20 minutes to be seated. I was looking forward for the seabass but they had run out so I opted for the salmon. Disapointed, the salmon was over cooked and tough. the one good thing was the wine selection suggested by our server."

"My wife and I went here for Valentines Day. We were anticipating the broad selection of tapas and salads for our meal. Although we were initially disapointed to discover it was a fixe prix menu that night, we were pleasantly surprised at the food selections offered. We had a wonderfully prepared meal and the service was refreshing. Certainly not stuffy like many other high end restaurants. I would recommend Cafe Madrid for any special occasion!"

"We have visited Cafe Madrid many times and always been happy. February 14, 2013 was an entirely different experience. Our server interrupted us at inappropriate times, asked to clear plates when there was still food on them, didn't offer coffee with the dessert course and worst of all totally misrepresented the evenings Pre Fix menu pricing to us. To top it off I had a coupon for $100 dollars and presented it to them at the time of payment & it was rejected as already redeemed & implied I had used it already. Come to find out it was "redeemed" by them that very evening!! Needless to say, we won't be back due to the humiliation caused me that night."
