JT Schmid’s was established in 1997 on a simple premise – to offer a splendid variety of the finest California cuisine and microbrews under one roof. We also wanted to create an atmosphere that was warm & inviting, thus our dedication to craftsmanship is reflected in our comfortable yet lively surroundings. And, because we take pride in our brewing process and delicious food, we have displayed our brewery and kitchen so that you might enjoy watching our Chef and Brew master as they carefully work their magic. California Cuisine best describes our diverse menu. We offer cuisine from all corners of the world. The centerpiece of our kitchen is a wood-burning brick oven which generates gourmet pizza and other of the Chef’s creations. Other specialties include Seared Ahi, Sweet Potato Fries, Jambalaya, and Steaks & Seafood.

"The staff was friendly, but slow. Some at our table that were drinking non-alcoholic beverages did not get re-fills or had to ask. Food was generous portions, but the $20 burger was lacking condiments to give it flavor. Just a huge pile of meats."

"Good place to meet before the game. Their valet parking at $20 is a bit expensive, but they were extremely quick getting cars out after a Ducks game, so major kudos for that. They were a bit understaffed for great service on the night I visited, and we ended up late to the game because of that (even though we arrived 1.5 hours before the game, and were quick to order)."

"I eat at JT Schmid's before the Ducks hockey game since it is conveniently located across the street from the Honda Center. I usually do not make a reservation, and I was glad that I made the reservation this time. The service and waitress was extremely attentive since she knew that we had a time schedule to leave for the Ducks game on time. The food is always prepared quickly and is always delicious. The restaurant is always noisy since the bar is in the center of the restaurant."

"Was very happy with the food her in the past, not sure what happened this time. Dressing on berry salad was odd and didn't like at all. Couldn't eat it. Jambalaya was Way too spicy. Was really looking fwd to the coconut crème brulee that is on website menu, only to be told that this location doesn't carry it. Might come back for beer before going to the Pond, but doubt I'll come back for food."

"I just want to say that I have been here plenty of times and my brother in law also had his Christmas Party there a few years ago for the Crystal Factory and it has always been great, but our visit on April 9, 2013, was FANTASTIC! Our server was the BEST! I even told the girls up front how pleased we were with her service.

"I work near JT and we needed a location for an off-site lunch meeting. We went during off hours so it would be quiet and there were only a few tables by the time we ordered our meal. My meal sat under the heat lamp so long due to the cooks cooking a wrong order (according to our waitress) that the bottom bread of my sandwich was soggy and the top was rock solid! (Our VP was too hungry to return his sandwich, he removed the bread and ate the inside only. Our meal was delivered in 3 drops (2 first then as the other meals were completed). It was the worst experience and it didn't even appear that the manager was there or cared. He never came by the table and I will never schedule another lunch meeting at this location!!!! Horrible!"

The food was good. Ribs were tasty but a bit dry. Side salad was likewise good but lacking pleasant surprises. This is a cut above bar food and a cut above the chain "family" restaurants ... but they'd have to do some more work to stand out on food al
Microbrews likewise solid. I had a flight, and quality tracked down from dark to light. Porter was a standout. Their lightest beer tasted like Bud Light. Avoid.
The service was excellent, very friendly. They also know how to handle kids, a real plus.
Overall, it was a very good find for Anaheim, but probably would not stand out in LA."

"Foood was good, but choices were few. The decor is on the plainer side and the ambience is that of a loud bar. If you want the bar scene this is perfect. We were there with guests from out of town. The TV's were blaring, and they sat us just under one of the tv's. Later I noticed there is another smaller room with a TV but much quieter. I would have liked to have the option to go there."

"I had eaten at the other location about 10 months prior. It was recommended on my hotel website so I decided to take a group of 11 clients for a casual dinner on 2/22/2013. Even though I had made reservations, confirmed the reservation by phone, and the restaurant wasn't busy, our table hadn't been set up. Service was friendly. Food came out quickly, but food quality seemed fair and there were complaints that the fish options were bland w/out much seasoning."

"OC Restaurant Week brought this restaurant to my attention but from the moment I mentioned it at the door, the service went downhill. The staff initially didn't know that restaurant week was taking place and later informed me that it was only available in their Tustin location, not the Anaheim location. The hostess didn't have any personality, the waitress seemed to be rushing me out of there with the manager overseeing this lack of service. Off-duty employees (or friends of employees) were sitting nearby and just kept staring at me. Perhsps if I didn't mention OCRW, things might've been better."

"I have been to this establishment on several occasions. The service is always great but the food is not. I found it hard to truly find healthy choices. I ordered the blackened Salmon and ALL steamed veggies. (I'm a Diabetic, so I did not choose the rice) When my order came, there where two huge scoops of white rice. Of course I sent it back. When the veggies arrived, it was a pile of greasy tissue thin pieces of zucchini, yellow squash and a couple of small pieces of bell pepper. Hmmm? What it should be is big bright florets of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots etc. My friend ordered a burger medium rare, it was completely cooked all the way through and burnt on both sides. "Unfortunately, the only thing to recommend this restaurant is its location across from the Honda Center. The food was below average, service was fine but not memorable, and the menu wasn't even the full menu since apparently they use an abbreviated version of their menu during events. Wouldn't come back."

"This is our "usual" meeting place--for a group of six "old ladies" who get togethr to talk and laugh. It's perfect for that--tables can easily be arranged to suit any size group and you can make as much noise as you want without disturbing anyone.
The food, however, is just "fair" especially for the price. The simplest individual pizza had a good crust but topping was nothing to get excited about. The blackened mahi had much more cabbage than fish. The fish and chips had an awful lot of heavy breading. Each of these averaged about $15.
Parking was a nightmare with all the construction going on around Schmid's. Thankfully, valet parking was available and nothing was going on across the street at Honda Center."

"We had a reservation for 12 and increased to 15 with a half hour notice which they accommodated. We then showed up with 18 and they did their best to accommodate so an "A" for effort. The servers managed our large group well. I would return."

"Dined on a limited special event menu before a Ducks game. The ahi appetizer was fantastic. The avocado and ? eggrolls, not so much. Glad I had a bowl of yummy Chicken Tortilla soup to turn to with my Wedge Salad! Parking is now under construction with the development of the transportation center next door, but this is the best bet for combining convenient parking at Honda Center (and a quick escape afterwards!) with a good meal beforehand!"

"The food and service is good and I have eaten here many times before Ducks games and a few Angel games. The one BIG negative is the parking. First if you want to park here for the game it is $20 plus a tip for the valet which makes it worse. They insist on valet parking which is lousy if you are going to the game. I want to just get in my car after a game and not wait for the valet. Since you park across the street you must wait for the traffic signal while paying a higher price and being delayed by valet. You are also bombarded by ticket scalpers The Honda Center is $15 and if you park down the street it is even cheaper. Or you can go to Lazy Dog or the new Tilted Kilt, leave your car for free and make the short walk."

"great place for a pre-concert meal and refreshments. conveniently located across Katella avenue from the Honda Center. The parking lot was cramped and crowded due to site adjacent construction and was slow to exit after the concert. We had a variety of dinners inclusive of pizza, salads and steaks. No one complained about their meal and service was good for a fully booked restaurant/bar area."
