"The food, service and drinks are always outstanding. Especially recommend the ceviche and campeche. They are always as good as or better than I've had anywhere."

"The atmosphere was great and the food was even better. My wife found it very romantic. The presentation of the food was almost too good to disassemble. Compliments to the chef who thought of the all the interesting dishes. We will be returning."

"Best Around! Seated by the indoor fireplace on a rainy night was very romantic. Well prepared drinks, over the top food presentation and taste. Well to do clientelle in great area. Manager worked the room the entire time so you could tell they maintain high satisfaction. Park yourself weekday, valet on weekends Outdoor seating and bar is an amazing experience..if no rain..

"Fabulous brunch at a reasonable price. The brunch has an upscale"tex mex" flavor but there are other entrees listed (chicken with biscuits) that are quite good as well. The bottomless mimosa is a nice accompaniment. If the weather is conducive the outdoor dining is very nice. Unfortunately it is where smokers tend to request and the traffic can be noisy. Hopefully some hedges (or something similar) will grow to block the noise and traffic."

"Food was great--original preparation, nicely presented. Service was attentive & not intrusive. Noise level, however, was very high--from both the dining room and the "vibrant bar scene." Table was poorly located next to the kitchen entrance--staffers running back and forth every 30 seconds. A really off-putting feature of this restaurant was the "free" valet parking. With a parking lot of perhaps 50 cars, we drove past the valet stand and just parked. We were accosted by an energetic teenager who told us we couldn't park there due to "liability." We ignored this shakedown and went to dinner. After dinner we found that the teenagers had parked a huge SUV so close to our passenger door that we had to back out to let the passenger in."

"Interesting and noteworthy menu. Nice appearance as you walk in and the valet parking is a nice touch. The soft shell crabs were a big disappointment. Especially if you love soft shells as we do. They were fried with WAY too much breading! You had no idea if you were eating crab or hush puppies. A lighter fry or even better, sautee'd crab would have been the way to go. Computer problems slowed the service but nothing that would warrant a complaint. But the NOISE level in the restaurant is just unbearable. Literally, you cannot understand the person sitting next to you unless you can read lips. We left with collective headaches. Coffee on the patio, much better!Wouldn't go back until I hear that they did something about the acoustics."

"Fantastic. Isabell our server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She catered to our 9yr old sons and they tried many new seafood dishes. Can you say, "shrimp campeche?" The chef has a talent for thoughtful dishes that are highly creative yet unburdened by over the top presentation. A true gem!!"

"This is a beautiful restaurant, and everyone's food was perfect. The brunch prices are very reasonable - $11 bottomless Mimosas and Bellinis, yea! This place is super popular though, which means it is a bit loud and difficult to have a normal conversation if you're in a particular area."

"hour and a half wait for 2 burgers and tacos! WAY too expensive, dessert, awful! Service was so, so. Server nice enough but management never checked our table while we observed them checking others. 2nd time there and last. Way too many other choices"

"We loved the atmosphere of Red Drum. It creates a perfect balance between fancy and comfortable. The service was impeccable, the food was great and the recommended wine was perfect. Everyone had a different dish and all complimented their dish. The Steak Frites was tender and tasty, the scallops were cooked to perfection and the Soft Tacos were a nice blend of tastes. Will always recommend Red Drum for casual dinners or special occasions."

"We found this place on our annual trip to Isle of Palms, SC. It's a very unassuming, off the beaten path kind of place. Clientele ran the gamut from contractors to professionals.
We ate at the bar since it was Monday & kids eat free night! Too noisy in the dining room with all those cheapskate parents and their whining kids in tow. The bar was more fun anyway. Both bartenders were very attentive and engaging.
The food was excellent. I had the seared scallops served with grits & grilled asparagus. My wife had a fried grouper sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were great. My only gripe would be the number of scallops:4. Really? How about 6 please!
The menu has something for everyone,& the food is all local and fresh. Will be back"

"Good food and service, but was very noisy on a Sat night. I ordered Mussels for appetizer which I didn't care for, they didn't charge me for it which was nice, made a difference in my rating."

"We really enjoyed Red Drum and had great service and food, even though the restaurant was packed on this Sunday noon for brunch. We had eggs benedict and a super chicken with avocado dish after Bloody Marys-- they were served fast and they were delicious. Would return."

"First off, I am a native of Southern California and am part Mexican. I have eaten a lot of good and a fair amount of not so good southwestern food in my life. I can honestly say that I cannot ever remember having chicken enchiladas in my entire life that tasted better than the ones I had at Red Drum. All the food we had was superb.
However, I will never, ever eat inside this restaurant again. Period. I have never been so tempted to leave a restaurant because of the noise level in my life. It was deafening. The waitress had to scream at us to be heard. Two people sitting across the table could not talk to each other without screaming. On a scale of 1 to 10, this was a 99. No exaggeration. I'd eat there only on the patio."

"Had and excellent brunch. Huevos rancheros were delicious, as was the quail and venison sausage. Had a great kids menu, and we felt very comfortable dining with our one year-old. The only drawback was a waiter that seemed less than enthusiastic about being there. He was proficient, but not much more. Would still definitely recommend Red Drum, the food was excellent and the restaurant is amazing."

"Wonderful brunch menu, great pricing, great food! Not appropriate for toddlers. The woman seated next to us had 3 children under the age of 4 and they were "a handful" for her! She was the only patron like that.. By no means was that something Red Drum could do much of anything about. The shrimp and grits were great, and the steak and eggs was just perfect. Nice portion sizes, good service and food temperature was just right. I would definately recommend it, but would like to pick my seat next time."

"Great food and service! Had reservations for two and our son joined us at the last minute. Even though it was Friday night and they were slammed, they moved us to another table to meet our needs.
A bit noisy with the busy bar, but it makes for a fun experience.
With the tons of great places to eat in the Charleston area, we keep going back."

"We were a party of 7 and 3 of us had our usual Steak and Eggs;the other 4 ordered the Huevos Migos, Chicken, French Toast and Breakfast Tacos.Every person ate every bite and no one left hungry! We've dined here many times but it was a first for our friends and their daughters - but I'm sure it won't be their last! Everyone loved it, needless to say."
