"My Mom and I share the same date for our Birthday... That is great in its self. So we decided to go to dinner at Black Angus and it was a good choice. I made the reservation on line from my office and it worked out great. We arrived and were sitted right away. Our server, Brittney and her assistant Amanda were fabulous to us. The food was awsome also the wine. I had not been to this restarurant and it was so enjoyable I will return. Thank You - Brittney, Amanda and Black Angus..!!"

"Black Angus is my wife's all time favorite restaurant after Horatio's. She always gets the prime rib and the lobster tail. She loves the place. It is OK value though I must confess that going out to eat on Mother's Day with reservations is nuts. 2 Hour wait for those without reservations. We had them for 5:45 PM, were on time and only waited until 6 PM to be seated. Lots of folks not happy. The vibe was not good, but the staff seemed prepared for the onslaught of folks who do not eat out often. The old, obese lady with her little dog in the stroller, 3 grand children and two adult escorts who insisted on running over everyone really set the tone for the evening. The wait staff did their best and it was satisfactory."

"Service was slow
Food was passable - filet was cooked as ordered, but texture was that of something reheated, tough on the outside. Food was a bit on the salty side. The bread at the beginning was the best part of the meal.
Empty plates were not taken away, so by the end of the meal we had a stack of plats in the middle of our table surround by our dinner plates.
Server never came by and asked how we were doing and if we needed anything.
Will not return."

"We were there for 90 minutes and never ate. The server failed to come to our table for 20 minutes. After waiting over an hour we had to leave--hungry! We advised our server that we were leaving and she shrugged. We also advised the manager as we were walking out and he failed to get us our food or try to appease us in any way. Completely ridiculous!"

"We enjoy dining at Black Angus. The booth arrangement allows for comfortable dining, as each party is comfortably seated in their own booth setting. The food is consistently good and well prepared. "I took a young lady to this restaurant at her request to celebrate her 18th birthday. Two tables away another party also had a birthday and got a candle in dessert and a song. I had noted with my reservation about the birthday and saw that it was noted on our ticket when we were seated. So I expected the same thing. Food was fine, service was fine, but the dessert was brought out with no candle or anything. I was embarrassed - was trying to make my new friend feel special and it backfired."

"As usual, the service was good & the food quality was high. Just always make sure you do not sit in the bar area if you intend to have a nice meal & want to chat with your dinner mates. The bar is often loud & the service poor due to the staffing levels. However, if you sit in the dining area, you will really enjoy the food and the quality of the meat or fish is very good. The house Merlot is very good & the prices are very reasonable. The price on the meat main courses is low if you compare it to other restaurants in the area (or the others are way over priced!). You really get a good quality meat - very soft and tender as well cooked they way you want it. This is about our 10th visit in the past 12 months. Use a coupon if you can."

"The food was good when we finally got it but we sat for 45 minutes before our waiter took our order! Then another 45 min. Before we got our meal! Granted, they were very busy because it was a night that they run a special but there were not enough wait staff! It took about 20 min. Just to get our drinks, never got refills on water or coffee and our total meal took 2 1/2 hours to complete! Not a place to go if you are pressed for time!!"

"We'd dined there on Thanksgiving Day and had a wonderful experience. We celebrated a 73rd (yes, 73) wedding anniversary a few weeks ago there and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately our Easter dinner found us with a hurried, distracted waitress. Our appetizer order was incorrect. Because we like to take our time, we asked her to hold ordering our entrees until we said to order them. When we did ask, she rushed by the table about 30 minutes later and said our orders would be right up. She stopped briefly again about 20 minutes later and said the same thing. We saw other people getting their food. Finally asked for the manager. Never got an "I'm sorry" via words or gestures from the waitress."

"I brought a date to Black Angus Steakhouse on Friday Night 3/15/2013. I made my reservation on line for 7:45pm. It was wonderful to walk in and within a few minutes we were taken to our table. The waitress brought us bread then took our drink and appetizer order, within 10 minutes it was on our table. We ordered the Steak Dinners for two, we got our soup and salad....we waited and waited for our Entree, our waitress didn't check on us...it was almost 9:pm when a different server showed up with our Entrees. We asked for the manager, who was very apologetic and did everything he could to make us happy. The Bread, Appetizer, Soup, Salad and our Drinks was very good, it's to bad that we didn't get out Entrees in a timely manner."

"We come here often (6-9 times a year) for some good steak when we are in the "red meat" mood. Tend to have the same each time. Price is very reasonable for the high quality you get. The Merlot house wine is good and at a reasonable price.
Avoid sitting in the bar area as the surrounding noise plus all the TV sets will kill any conversation at your table. Ask for a table in the main dining area.
I would recommend the place."

"I was glad to have made reservations via OpenTable.com or else we would've been waiting a VERY long time! Once we sat down our appetizers arrived OVER-cooked, potatoes fried to a crisp on bottom, zucchini overcooked and greasy, shrimp looked old, chicken tenders were just okay. The service was fair. Our drinks arrived after 10 minutes. Overall it was a bad dinner experience."

"My husband enjoyed being able to watch the basketball game while we dined out. He was hesitant to go out at first and them we we arrived and were seated in the bar area, I could see a bit of relief on his face. The overall experience was good. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Lobster. My Grilled shrimp was cooked perfect. My Lobster was not so perfect. It could have cooked a little more for my taste, but, I ate it. My daughter LOVED her Serloin Slices from the kids menu."

"I had a 7:45 reservation for Valentine's dinner. While there was only a 15 minute wait to be seated, when we were seated, I requested one of two open booths I could reach out and touch from my table seat. I was told "we have to stick with the seating chart." These booths remained empty for several more minutes, which indicated to me that they were given to two parties (same number as my party of 3) that HAD to have a reservation that was 20-25 minutes after mine. I think my request should have been granted and those with a later reservation could have been seated in the less-desirable table location I was given. I have never had a seating request denied at any Black Angus."

"Black Angus is near our home and since there is not main larger nice restaurants real close. we find ourselves going there fairly often for some special occasions. The food is good at a reasonable price. It is nice we can make reservations online. We are glad Black Angus is near us."

"Your space didn't have enough characters for me to fully describe our evening. Here is the short version. I ordered the 'end cut' of prime rib and got what looked like the sole of a shoe that had been beaten with a hammer.
My wife did inform me why we hadn't eaten there in 10 years. NEVER AGAIN!"

"Service was terrible. I understand cause its valentines day. But our waitress passed us up at least 5 times and never ask. We were done with our dinner and we wanted our dessert. Luckilly the manager happen to pass by and ask if we needed anything. We gave our waitress a good tip, even if we had a bad service. Other than that the food was great."

"We went there on a Friday night, after Valentine's Day. We had to wait for our main course for a long time. When we got it, there was no presentation whatsoever. It was just the meat and baked potato. Not even a small garnish. The filet mignon was done right though, which was good. Our server seemed inexperienced and shy. She didn't notify us that there was a delay in our food until after waiting for about 45 minutes."

"The Prime Rib was very dry and had a funny color to it as though a dye was used to make it appear rare. The ceaser salad was VERY lack luster and tasted so, You can tell that it was out of a bottle and poorly mixed. The Potatos Au Gratin was very good as was the Fire roasted Artichokes. The server was very good.
I contacted Black Angus by email and by phone but no response, I guess that they are use to complaints and have no interest in improving the customers experiance. I would not reccommend this restaurant to anyone!!!"

"The food was good, but not phenomenal. The portion size was pretty good, but my husband's steak was overdone and my brother's pork chops were super thin. We just weren't "WOWed" by anything. It was not bad in any way, but for the price, not great. It was perfectly adequate."

"I really hate to rate the service poor, but unfortunately we had to wait a long time between courses, and we had to keep flagging the waiter down for condiments, napkins, water, dessert, etc... He just keep passing by us without asking if we needed anything. The food was excellent, so I would recommend this place to someone, I'd just tell them to be prepared to wait on your food."

"We were seated in the bar and I wanted to move, but one of the person's in my party is handicapped and she didn't think she could walk to the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere was ok for a bar, but not for a birthday dinner. The service was awful. One member of the party only ordered soup as an entree and it did not arrive with the rest of the meal. I waited a good ten minutes before I went to the manager and asked for it. It took several more minutes before it arrived. By this time, my dinner was cold. The portion size was much smaller than the last time and the quality was not as good. I would not recommend this location and it will be a long time before I return."
