"I was UPSET because I made reservations and still had to wait and then when they tried to seat us they took us to the bar area and I had my two kids with us I was so upset and we had to wait again because I refused to sit in the bar area after all I was supposed to have reservation "just not happy ""

"Overall the dining experience was good and the service was outstanding. All of the booths have direct lighting however, the table/chair area in the main room lacks sufficient lighting to read a menu. I had to turn to the side where there was a single downlight hanging over an open area to read the menu. My 97 year old mother (Mother's Day meal) could not read the menu in the dim lighting. I would recommend improving the lighting over the tables with chairs. We chose a table over a booth as my mother is in a wheelchair."

"We went on a Sunday night, and there were very few people there. We sat in the bar area where there were multiple tv screens to watch sporting events. Grilled artichoke appetizer was awesome. I had filet mignon, which was done perfectly and was delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were pasty, but flavorful. The green beans were fresh and perfectly cooked. My partner had the roast beef, which he said lacked flavor. The double chocolate dessert was huge and decadent....too much so for me, but my chocoholic friend liked it, and took half home. Highlight of the evening was the service provided by our waiter, who was friendly and attentive. I would go back again if I had a 2 for 1 coupon, as we had."

"There were gnats flying around, not only at our table but at others around us. When we mentioned it to our server and another person, all they said was, "Oh, yeah". If they know they have a problem, they should fix it or at least let us know that they are trying to eradicate them. It was rather annoying for our group as well as others around us...and no compensation for this annoyance."

"Service was very good, even using the discount coupon that came in the mail (and on-line). Food was ok - medium rare steaks were overdone (not something you would expect at a steak house) but salmon was moist. Appetizers were good, vegis were nicely done, and salads were crisp and cold. We were a group of 6 and all the items arrived timely and with the meal deal (appetizer, salad, entree, and desert) you do not leave hungry."

"My husband and I were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary and having been to Black Angus in the past, we decided to dine there. Although the table arrangements had changed, the décor overall was as we remembered it. Our server was wonderful, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food wonderful. Even though the restaurant was very busy (it was Easter), we got our food and drinks promptly, with the serving staff checking often to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely return in the future and will recommend this restaurant to others."

"Waiter made us feel rushed even though it did not look like a busy night. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and looking to have a leisurely meal. At the end of our meal, instead of asking if we wanted dessert, he brought out the chocolate chip cookie w/ice cream dessert and said "happy anniversary." This was not what either of us wanted for dessert. I feel it would have been more appropriate for the waiter to have asked if we would like dessert, take the order, bring the dessert we requested and wish us happy anniversary. This is my second visit to this restaurant. I'm not sure I will be returning any time soon."

"My wife and I were celebrating my 89th birthday. I'm 89 and hard of hearing even with

"I made an open table reservation arrived early to mostly empty dining room yet was seated next to a lg noisy table at the back near the kitchen. After waiting for warm ice tea my order taken I received salad in a timely manner but then waited over 20 minutes for my entree while I sat at an empty table with no waitress checking My steak arrived.I asked for it rare w/no seasoning save pepper It came cold, medium, shriveled, sitting in a pool of salted butter on a bare plate with miniture bowl of supposedly potatoes au gratin that were undercooked w/what looked liked curdled cottage cheese My steak was taken back but my dinner partner finished his meal while I waited. Nothing was comped or adjusted Not a good experience"

"Service was very quick, my waiter was very energetic and humorous. Our food didn't take very long and I devoured my prime rib and Au gratin potatoes. The rib eye my other half had was really exceptional as well. Basically if you love beef you'll love this place, but they also have non-beef items for those that don't like beef. Definitely will return."

"Went for dinner to celebrate birthday. Good food, but ordered steak medium rare and it arrived medium. It was good enough for me, so did not complain. My husbands steak also ordered medium rare, and his was done correctly. Thinner filet mignon cuts than we are used to. Yummy giant freshly baked chocolate chip cookie for bday dessert. The flourless chocolate cake was delicious too."

"If you sign up with their birthday club you can get a free steak on your birthday! The food was delicious. The hostess was very kind and got us seated right away even though I accidentally entered the wrong date on our reservation. Our waitress was pretty cranky...not sure why. But overall, it was a good experience!"

"It was Valentine's Day and we had a reservation but still had to wait for our table. Then we got sat by the kitchen which was very busy and noisy. Our appetizer came at the same time as our food and the dessert was nothing like it looked in the picture. We were very disappointed with our experience on such an important day."

"Ordered the salmon, came dry. thank you for accepting it back and bringing me one just like i like it. Table was great location, we have a hearing impaired person so nice to have a quiet spot. Everyone else enjoyed their steaks and shrimps. Thank you again :-)"

"I had the prawns and sirloin coupon special. For a steakhouse, the prawns were better than the beef! It may not be the most tender cut in town by a long-shot, but it's still a good value and portions are good. There are lots of fruity drinks to choose from. Their participation in the hotel/airline points/mileage programs is a great added bonus."

"Years ago, Black Angus was considered to be more of a higher end steak house. Salads came on an ice cold plate. The food in general was of a higher quality. My dinner on Saturday night consisted of room temperature lettuce and a tasteless lobster. I did like the choice of sides. Overall, I was disappointed, but will probably go back again at some point."

"My wife and I have been going to Black Angus for many years. We don't go out for dinner very often but when we do, we seem to end up there because "it's been awhile". We love the atmosphere and the privacy of the high-backed booths. The food is tasty and the meat tender, and you get your money's worth. This time, our waitress was delayed at the front desk so it took a few minutes to take our order but she apologized, was very friendly and served us quickly thereafter,i.e. refills when needed before being asked, etc. A nice comfortable casual restaurant we've always enjoyed going to and with the ease of online reservations, we never have to wait long even when it's crowded."

"We were looking for a place to eat out on Christmas Eve (having gotten home late from work) and it seemed almost everything was closed. Black Angus was open and welcoming. Food was fine, staff was great. Noise level was down, but expect that was because they weren't very crowded."
