"This was my third visit to a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at three different locations. I was my husband's first visit. I must say all three experiences were of equal quality food and atmosphere. This was our 28th anniversary and although my husband has been very ill for several years now, he enjoyed the experience and talked about his steak the whole way home. It is a little pricey for the average evening out, but for that special occasion, the price is worth it for the memories and service."

"Last time we came for dinner the meal was unremarkable and not great.
This time it was an amazing dinner. Everyone's steaks were top notch, the service was impeccable and all the sides were fresh and wonderful. The salads were crisp and flavorful. The steaks were sizzling and such a treat. Specialty drinks were perfection. Dessert was devoured. Need I say more. I was impressed and we will be back."

"Ruth's is a special treat for most - for me it's typically a business dinner and rather routine. This visit was not memorable - I found the waitstaff a bit over bearing. It was clear we needed time to talk and were in no rush, yet Johanna kept popping in and at times I felt like we need to make a next move and order. My filet, ordered Oscar style, was not and by the time the crab cake arrived, I was not interested. Instead I opted for a doggie bag. Just not by favorite place."

"The food was excellent. Everything I tasted was delectable and we were not disappointed with any of the dishes. However I would only recommend for special occasions due to the prices, which are exuberant. The entrees do not include sides which adds to the prices quickly. We were given a complimentary desert because of the occasion.
Although the waitress was very nice and attentive while at our table, I thought she could have been just a bit more accessible. This may have been intentional due to this being our anniversary dinner. She may have thought we wanted more privacy."

"My wife and I went here for dinner on Easter Sunday. Surprisingly, we had the place pretty much to ourselves. However, the staff was fantastic. Our server, Johanna, was knowledgeable, personable and professional. My wife had the filet & shrimp combo which was excellent. My rib-eye was cooked exactly the way I asked. The sides were wonderful and the chocolate dessert was all we could ask. We gave the ambiance 3 stars because of the lack of guests. Otherwise, another outstanding experience at this restaurant."

"Overall excellent - however our table was placed in a booth directly infront of the kitchen with clamoring plates and orders being placed. Waiter was absolutely attentive, it was a birthday so the staff really made sure my guest was well taken care of. Worth every penny, will return for another special ocassion. Still great in so many ways, but they had several functions so my party of 3 suffered some delays and one steak came in overdone. But that was remedied in about 2 minutes; a great recovery. "Do not order the Petite Filet Mignon and Shrimp. The Filet that is served is the tip of the tenderloin, and while I am aware that they have to do something with it, the meat is much too tough to sell as Filet Mignon at that price. The service is very good. The ambiance is nice in a booth at the bar. The food is over-priced, especially for the side dishes. $9.95 for a handful of quartered mushrooms is just silly. Still, I am the one who foolishly ordered it and silly me will probably go again."

"I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's day, and it was definitely the best food I have ever had. "well I was there celebrating my 17th annaversery and my husbands birthday. The servers were very nice and helpful. I was dissapointed that the resturant did nothing for him for his birthday, such as offer him a desert or something. secondly my steak was not prepared correctly I ask for no pink and when I got it it was pink inside, they recooked it then it was dry and almost burned. my sister in law's lobster tail was not done and had to be sen back. they did not appologize for this or try to compensate for it. I thought the prices were a little expensive since nothing came with the meats.

"My decision to eat here was based on the restaurants reputation for it's beef and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Cowboy Ribeye and it was prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the fact that the menu also offered a wide variety of foods. My wife had the Sea Bass and said it was the best. We shared the asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and liked that it wasn't over cooked. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends."

"Excellent service and food. The decor is contemporary and inviting. The waitstaff is professional and knowlegeable. The cuisine is out of this world fantastic. It isn't an "every weekend" type of place to go, unless you are independantly wealthy - but for a romantic dinner or celebration, it delivers."

"I was about to send you a letter regarding our last dinner with you folks. It was outstanding. We have run out of "special occasions" to dine there so we just are going to come for the food. We give up. You guys are the best.
I find myself not buying frivolous things so I can budget toward dining at Ruth's Chris.
We are not wealthy people and the economy has hit us hard, but gosh darn it, one has to set priorities.

"Ruth Chris has always been an upper echelon restaurant. The prices are on the upper end; however, the service, quality of food, and attention to detail warrant that. Of the 3 Ruth Chris restaurants in our local area, Cary seems to be the best in our opinion."

"The outing was fine; but, we were disappointed in the steak (at least my wife's steak). We participated in the Restraurant Week promotion and perhaps that was the problem; although, I would have thought this would be a pretext for better not worse entrees.I have large experience with Ruth's Chris and over the years have enjoyed it many times. This time I was disappointed because my wife was disapointed.It was still a reasonable experience."

"Ruth's Chris is expensive but good. From our previous experience, we enjoy the steaks, but the extras are overpriced for the value (vegetables, potato). The four of us all had the $30 special for "Restaurant Week". The salad, filet and chocolate sin cake were all very good. After a raspberry martini (which was excellent), I asked to see the red wine(malbec) list (from the busboy) and then was brought a "house" malbec from our waiter w/o the listing. This was $4 more than the one I wanted and did not taste any different to me. I think this was just a communication problem but felt I was taken advantage of. Since there are so many restaurants in the Raleigh area, we would prefer to try others rather than returning here."
