"Went for dinner with two colleagues. Terrific happy hour deals and great mixed drinks. The food was delicious: the calamari and crab cakes were out of this world. We all enjoyed our entrees and you'd never tell the brownie was gluten free if you didn't know...and it was big enough to share. Would definitely go back."

"Farmicia was recommended to me by a friend. I was not disappointed. We had a party of three(friends from out of town). The menu was quite extensive and varied. We had no trouble in making decisions. The food was very tasty and well presented. The servers were friendly and courteous. I enjoyed the openness of the setting and we were able to have a leisure conversation with no sense of being rushed. I will be returning."

"After reading several negative reviews abt. Farmicia... I was abit hesitant to try, esp. with a Customer who suffers with Food Allergies... but Staff was very attentive to their needs and everything worked out wonderfully... Portions were smaller than I expected, but overall quality and taste were excellent... I would repeat my visit..."

"FARMiCiA is a great place that I happened upon by accident and i'm glad I did! Took some staff of mine here for lunch and the place is so nice and the servers very accomodating. LOVED that they offered varieties of bread to each diner, and the herbed butter was delicious. I just had a sandwich but I plan on ordering something more unique the next time I go. This is such a great place, especially for those interested in sticking with locally grown foods - whether you're a vegetarian or not!"

"Toast rounds were brought by our server to accompany the appetizers. However, we did not request them & were subsequently charged for them. Though it was a nominal fee it was still a fee we were surprised to see on our bill. Also, the bread tray was very nice but it would have been even nicer if the tray was brought around a second time. Other than those 2 minor flaws, we enjoyed our dinner at your restaurant. We were also impressed with your gluten free menu; my niece must eat gluten free & your menu offered many delicious choices for her."

"wife had gotten tuna ,presentation was terrible potatoes were old and cold, my chicken portion was to small and again presentation was bla h. the beet salad lacked dressing and the special of the day ( stuffed peppers ) they were out of at 8 oclock in the evening which is odd. would seek other places then there. Very pricey for the place"

"We took a friend along for our second dinner at FARMiCiA. The server was well informed, prompt & helpful. The beet & fennel salad was flavorful, & the tuna portion was generous, although I'd have liked more veggies. We brought our wine, although I now see that their short wine list is well selected & wines by the glass are half price during Happy Hour (5-7pm)."

"Three people to dinner on Wednesday night. Unfortunately the kitchen couldn't make up for the bad service. All phases of service failed; the bread guy didn't give us bread, the server forgot to put in the cocktail order, salad order with "dressing on the side" didn't happen, manager when told about the problems didn't apologize, utensils taken away and not replaced, plates removed before they were finished; I could go on."

"Our entree was quite good. The service was lackluster -- took awhile to have anyone approach our table. We had several menu questions and the server did not know something and ended up asking a fellow server instead of the kitchen, and we got a general answer on a food ingredient versus specific information. It was pricey for that kind of service. The feel of the restaurant service/attitude was overall less than we expected."

"We were looking for a brunch location with interesting choices near the National Constitution Center. Farmicia was one of the only locations that would take a reservation on a Sunday. Thank goodness we called, it was busy. We were seated immediately and start to finish had a wonderful dining experience.
I HIGHLY recommend the goat cheese and herb omelet. Add on one slice of banana french toast too. DELICIOUS!
We'll be back for sure."

"Parking right next to Farmacia is a plus. Our friends were late and the staff did not rush us at all. The crab/pear salad was terrific. Best of all, although they have a bar,you can BYOB and there is no corkage fee. We will definitely return to Farmacia."

"Food was wonderful, the entrees a bit dry, but still flavorful. The fresh bread they serve is great. I recommend trying them all. The drinks were tasty. We went during happy hour (5-7) so they were 50% off which was even better."

"I had the potato-broccoli-parmesan soup and it was good but something fell a little flat; like maybe the ratio of ingredients needed work? But it did hit the spot. I also had the jumbo lump crab salad which was a very generous amount of food; especially the amount of crab, holy cow! The bread selection was impressive and the pumpernickel that I chose delicious. The herb butter served with it was excellent. The homemade lemonade superb. Overall I had a great lunch."

"For my money, Farmicia is still the best BYOB in Philadelphia. The menu is varied and unique and every dish is delicious. The staff is attentive and friendily. One wishes it were a bigger place, but it is larger than most BYOBs in the city. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the Delaware Valley!!"

"I'll have to thank my nephew for recommending Farmicia; my husband and I loved dining there! The service was excellent; attentive but not bothersome or in-your-face. It was hard to decide which of the items to order because they all sounded so great. My husband had the tenderloin of lamb and I had the duck (boneless). I think I should have ordered the duck medium instead of well done, and will the next time. My husband's lamb tenderloin was wonderful. We look forward to the next time we go to center city so that we can dine at Farmicia again."

"Hands down this is one of my favorite spots in Philadelphia. I have never had a bad meal or a bad drink. The food is always fresh. The Lancaster BLT and the grilled goat cheese sandwhich are both delectible. If I could fit eating both, I would. And if you have never had a Pimms cup, this is the place to try it. The service is always right on, and I have never feeled ignored. This is a gleaming nugget in Old City and I highly reccomend stopping in."

"The food at FarmaCia is definitely fresh and well-cooked, although not very imaginative. If you like good, simple food, this is definitely your place--chops, steaks, fish, etc. Where this place shines is the cocktail menu--I wanted one of every cocktail on the list. My friends from out of town loved it. Would I take a real gourmand here? Probably not. But we definitely had a good time. The service was excellent, the atmosphere lively and the ambiance was great. Excellent place for before or after the theater."

"Chose the restaurant for pre-theater which worked out perfectly. Arrived in time to take advantage of happy hour drink special. The pear and crab salad was delicious. The crab cake appetizer was also very good. Even had time for dessert - and so glad we did - because the blood orange sorbet was delicious and refreshing. Our waiter was very attentive and we got our check quickly and off to the theater we went. Perfect timing. Definitely will return!"

"I'm a vegetarian and my husband is not. We were both able to find things on the menu that were appealing. The food tasted fresh, we were surprised at their tonics list and indulged in a few drinks as well. Service was great, the hosts could be a little more welcoming. Would love to go their seasonally."

"On Sunday, our first dinner at FARMiCiA was delightful. French lentil salad with greens & baked goat cheese was flavorful & large enough for a lunch. The duck breast & London broil were very good. Wine list is small & reasonable, but we did BYOB with no corkage fee. Notable were several vegan options, which will interest a friend of ours. We'll be back."

"We were on a return visit as our first visit was very memorable. The decor was the same and staff friendly . Our drinks were awful. We tried three different kinds-all were awful. "Bland vegan food. Two tries for a London broil ordered medium: first steak sent was well done second was medium rare. Not impressed and we ordered several courses including salads which were equally uninspired but the highlight of the meal.. Could have been an off night but they don't get a second chance from me."
