"Special escargot stuff mushrooms were fantastic - buttery, garlicky. We used the bread to sop up the left over butter. Didn't want to waste a drop! The bone-in ribeye was perfect as usual. The special 18 oz. boneless ribeye with portobello mushrooms, lobster, and bordelaise sauce was interesting. The steak was cooked to a perfect black & blue with blackened seasoning on it. It could be a little stronger for the meat. The bordelaise sauce overcast the lobster so you really couldn't tell if you were eating lobster or mushroom as it robbed the lobster of its flavor. I would suggest just a garlic herb butter or maybe hollandaise, some kind of cream based sauce to let the lobster shine a little. Note: Check the Padres schedule before you book."

"It was Valentines day so it was unusually packed. The food and the service was great but we did have to wait a while for items to come to our table because the staff was extended. I understand that it was busy but we asked for the brandy peppercorn sauce and didn't receive it on our plate and after we asked again it didn't come to us for another five minutes. I don't think that I will return for Valentines unless I reserve a booth in bar."

"Loved it and always do. The service was superb. The cheesy, au gratin potatoes to die for. Best steak I have ever had. Bernaise sauce excellent and a good size side portion. Oh and did i mention the bread pudding......WOW that was out of this world. All in all I loved it and so did my hubby of 25 years. We will be back."

"The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. I just think it's a little dark in there and the prices are a little high. I think you can find better value at other restaraunts. I still enjoyed my visit though."

"Restaurant was exceptionally loud even sitting in a booth against the wall. At times i found myself having to shout to carry a conversation with our guests.
Service was outstanding. Juan catered to us continually and was very attentive.
Food was just ok though. This wasnt our first time here and steak was good enough but you expect more from The Palm"

"We often dine at the Palm, in various cities, but this was our first trip to the Palm in San Diego. Everything was perfect! The nice thing about the Palm is no matter which one you go to the level of perfection is the same. You may find variances in the food but they are minor and usually tend to be nice changes. This Palm was flat out outstanding! Our waiter was Robert, who was exceptional. One of the wonderful things about the Palm is that there are no limits. If you want it, they will do it, and with a smile. We will definitely be going back to the San Diego Palm!"

"We tried The Palm on Restaurant Week, our first visit. Tuesday night, and it was hopping. Not too noisy though. The booth was comfortable and roomy. Would seat 4 people with room to spare. We were not disappointed. The food and the service both very good. We had the 8 ounce filet, done just as we ordered, rare, med-rare. The beet salad was outstanding, and rather generous. Desert was very good...bread pudding for me, cheesecake for him. We chose a modestly priced bottle of wine. Most bottles were out of our price comfort zone though. We wish there were a few more moderatly priced bottles to choose from. We will be back for sure. We are occasional Flemmings and Mortons diners, and we are adding The Palm to our list."

"Everything was outstanding! Our waiter, Bobby was helpful, knowledgable and entertaining. He catered to our every wish, and then some. Service was fantastic. The Assistant Manager, Michael, ensured that our 21st wedding anniversary was one we will remember forever. Both Bobby and Michael deserve special recognition for making a memorable evening even more special.
I haven't even mentioned the food! Everything was beyond delicious! We visited during Restaurant Week and although we chose from the Prie Fixe menu, the items to choose from we're delightful and portions were generous enough that we took home several boxes for a savory lunch the next day! We are definitely going to return for another "date night" in the near future!"
