"Cutter's Crabhouse recently changed its focus to seafood. The service remains terrific. The food is better and it was pretty good before. The view is to die for, Elliott Bay, the ferries and cruise ships, the Olympic Mountains and the waterfront. We were 8 adults celebrating Mother's Day. Total bill before tip was $128 (no alcohol). The brunch/breakfast items were well priced (surprisingly so) and varied - egg dishes, french toast and more plus the regular lunch menu heavy on seafood but steaks, salads, poultry, vegetarian. Parking in a garage was necessary because of the occasion but normally I find on street parking is available."

"The only thing that was tasty were the blueberry muffins. My eggs were burnt, my Mother's were overcooked, my ham was dry as the bone. I don't recommend this place for breakfast, check what hours you go as them may not be validating the parking for that time."

"Portions were very small and the price was high. For a one half of a king crab leg, split lengthwise, I paid 35 dollars. This included a couple tablespoons of dungeness crabmeat on a serving of succotash, which tasted good. This amounted to about 6 tablespoons of king crabmeat. It didn't seem very fresh. It was listed on the menu as being 1/2 lb. The salmon portions
my friends ordered were small, 4-5 oz, and overdone. It cost 26 dollars, and included some greens. The chocolate soufflé was very good. We spent about 50 each and this included one drink and the dessert, which you will need to order to feel satisfied. The 50 dollars was before the tip and after taxes. If you expect large portions, I would recommend you go elsewhere."

Our waiter sounded more like a used car salesman than a waiter. His favorite letter was "I", as in I made the clams this way, or I fixed the fish this way. He seemed more interested in talking about himself than taking our order. We chose to part in the pay lot near the restaurant and have our ticket validated. Our waiter took our ticket and acted like he was going to validate it, but did not. We ended up having to pay for our parking. Not the best way to end my first trip to the West Coast. Beware if you go there to eat."

"We took a friend from Buenos Aires, Argentina there for lunch, along with her husband. The view was amazing but we were not impressed with the food. The crab cakes were dry, as was the salmon. The bread was good and the server gladly brought us oil and vinegar to eat with it. Other than the view, everything was less than we had hoped for."

My biggest complaint was the noice level...it was actually hard to hear the person sitting directly across the table from me due to the noice in the restaurant overall. "So I have been a Cutter's customer since 1993. It has been a year or more since I have dinned there. I now live in Forks is why. From reception to table, the handover was done with a lack of pretense that fits the NW style. The staff was personable and enjoyable to talk to. The menu was huge, yet I miss my Yaki Soba choice that used to be a staple. The appetizer we chose was the Dungeness crab and artichoke dip with fresh baked sourdough. It took an extra baguette to finish. It was offered and brought hot from the oven. My wife ordered the Alaska sockeye and I ordered the sirloin medallions. Both items were delicious and we forked across the table with joy. For desert we had the apple cobbler and burnt crème. Both excellent. Very Satisfied."

Upon arriving at set reservation time, the hostess at the front desk was on the phone and took a long time to acknowledge us. (the restaurant was empty). Although I wanted to use the happy hour menu, we were seated in the "wrong" section and could not.
After only taking a drink order the server left and didn't come back even though we wanted appetizers. He was generally inattentive throughout the meal, most of which tasted like it had come directly from Costco. For the cost of the meal, it should have been great.
I dine out frequently in Seattle and know there are many better options. We won't be back."

"Went to Cutters for the first time for Easter brunch recently. Pleasantly surprised by the panoramic water view! Very pretty! "It took them well over an hour to serve the main entree, whereas, I asked for it "to go" and the manager actually gave it to me for free, because of such a long wait. I did appreciate that, because I had reservations, I never would have thought the dinner would take so long. I lost my appetite by the time I was served. This was my first time eatting there, and prior to this, I heard lots of great reviews, but after the service I received, I would never recommend anyone."

"I was visiting Seattle with friends and we went to Cutters one night our reservations were for730pm. We were seated quickly. We had the 3 for $30 meal and the clam choder to the steak entree and the creme brulee! Delicious! Loved the food and we had a great server who was funny and very attentive. After our meal he even told us that Cutters has a free shuttle service to drop us off anywhere in the downtown area! I will definitely be dining here next time I'm in seattle!"

"Great venue for out-of-town guests from the East Coast. Food & menu choice was fine. Prices were a good value for the location & view. Service was poor. Never asked how the food was, did not refill coffee, interrupted conversation with an armful of water, slow delivery of ordered food. Only thing that was fast was asking if he could take the bill!! Service was very disappointing for an otherwise nice restaurant. Was it the server's first day? Sure seemed like it."

"Went there for a special Saturday night with my family of 6 adults. We all enjoyed ourselves with a great ambiance & decore, very good food & wine, excellent service and a great view. It is also conveniently close to Pike Market so a nice way to end an afternoon there. Highly recommend it."

"The server put my order in wrong and supposedly caught it and let me know it would be just a few minutes and it ended up being over 15 minutes which brought us pretty close to us needing to return to our busy work day. Needless to say, we ate fast and furious when the food finally did arrive and thankfully the salmon was cooked to perfection! In fact, it was the second best salmon I had ever had at a local restaurant; Ray's Boathouse was #1 but honestly maybe it could of been a tie? The gnocchi was delicious too! I would order this dish again and pray the salmon would not be overcooked and dry. I loved it that much that I would be willing to take the risk!"

"Dine Around Seattle lunch great value at $15! 3 delicious courses. Service was friendly although quite slow. We dined a little later (1:30) so maybe that was why. Beautiful window table. Paula at the Front Desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful."

"When I booked my reservation, I mentioned it was for my mom's birthday, and they very sweetly decorated the table with confetti for our birthday group! And of course, a b-day dessert was presented after the meal. Service was great during the food. The only thing that I wasn't satisfied with was the wait for the hostess to seat us. We walked into the restaurant and waited at the front desk for the hostess to appear for about 5 minutes before she ever showed up. The bartender could see us, and looked our way a few times, but never said anything or asked if we had been helped. Finally, though, hostess did arrive, and she was very polite and showed us to our table."

"It was good, but we have found much better. Basically you are paying for the amazing view of the sound,downtown and the wheel. We might go back if we have visitors in town, but probably not otherwise. On a very positive note; they offer a shuttle. We took a cab thre, but were given a ride back to our home (just the cost of a tip). Very nice touch!"
