"We came to Ruby's knowing it would be spectacular!!! We frequent The Waterfront when it was open. We have been to several restaurants on our vacation but none has surpassed the test of Ruby's!!!!! We even went to Jack Binions and wasn't even a comparison to Jeff Ruby!!!! We had a fabulous dinner steak and chicken and apps and Chris took very good care of us. Devon was spectacular as well. We had a complimentary dessert for our birthdays it was unexpected and delicious!!! We were very happy with our visit and will return. I'd like to personally thank Chris and Devon for spectacular service and dedication!! Hope to be back soon.

"Jeff Ruby's steakhouse is absolutely phenomenal. The steaks are magnificent and the side dishes are out of this world. We enjoyed a ribeye, steak Diane, macaroni and cheese, and some grilled asparagus, all of which we saved for lunch the next day and were still just as good as off the grill.
This restaurant is not dissimilar from the Precinct, his other steakhouse in Cincinnati, but both are equally outstanding. I've had steaks in Chicago, New York, and Kansas City, and this blows them out of the water."

"We had a fantastic time celebrating my son's graduation with relatives from out of town The ambience was elegant yet relaxed and warm. Our waiter, Tony, was friendly and informative but not a pest. His New York accent added much to the experience. The drinks (Martini) were outstanding and the steak (Filet Mignon) was perfectly tender and juicy with a lot of flavor. "As a reward, my wife and I took an employee and his fiancé to Jeff Ruby's. The entire experience was wonderful! We had a great meal and our server Tony was excellent! The manager stopped by our table several times. He would top off our wine glass, brought our dessert and initiated real conversation. After our meal, we found an empty table near the house band, Kelly Red and the Hammerheads. We stayed another hour and a half enjoying the entertainment by Kelly and her talented crew! As we headed towards the exit to leave, the manager met us there and gave us his card. He told us to call when we'd like to make a future reservation and he'd take care of us! Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse in downtown Cincinnati provided a second to none experience!"

"Our first time at Jeff Ruby's and we were very pleased by the entire experience. All 3 of us had the filet, and it was worth every penny. Side dishes of a baked potato, green beans, and sweet potato were large enough for sharing. Celebrating a college graduation, we were given a small complimentary dessert. We will definitely return."

"This was our first time. The food was great, the service was great, but we were seated on the main aisleway for two different directions, felt like sitiing on I-75. Also noise level was louder than expected. Overall experience was good."

"I think they should think seriously about serving a steak that is cut thinner on one end. The difference was so much that 1/2 of my steak was medium to well done, while the other 1/2 was medium rare, as I had ordered. I didn't want to return the steak because it was a birthday celebration, but the cook who prepared it really, really should have known better."

"My wife and I were disappointed after recent visit. The food was okay at best. The steak had patches of seasoning and was not spread out on the entire steak. One bite was very peppery and the next was not. The salad and dessert were very good. I would have given the visit 1 star if the server hadn’t been as nice as he was. Where was the manager, we never saw him/her?"

"Our experience at Jeff Ruby's lived up to our expectations. We were looking for a place in downtown Cincinnati to dine for my 60th birthday anniversary. We had heard great things about the restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, our service was outstanding, everyone was very attentive and when we mentioned it was my birthday, our waiter took a complimentary keepsake photo and prepared a serving of chocolate mousse. It was a satisfying experience and I look forward to returning soon."

"Great vibe from the moment you enter. Cool, classy and sophisticated. Bar is the first area you walk past and it's up to standard for a high-end streak house. Bar area could be a bit larger, but plenty of stools if you arrive early. Beautiful women employees walk around which seems to be more form than function. Guess they are paid to model? Booths and tables are nostalgic and a bit of a throw-back, which I like. Service was very good and nice to know there is still some integrity in a wait staff when asking about wine selection. Management is present and doing what they can to help out while not getting in the way...more restaurants need management on the floor instead of in back offices. Food was very good. No more room to write."

"For a Tuesday evening, it was hopping by 6:30, without an empty table in the restaurant. Steak Collinsworth is a treat, and something everyone should splurge on at least once.
Our steaks were outstanding, and the service was very good, with a very friendly, congenial, not-stuffy-at-all demeanor. Noise level was moderate, with lots of activity. My particular table was in a good location, but right behind my head was a wait-station, where waiters were constantly filling ice water into serving glasses. The constant banging of pitchers and clanging of glasses was a detriment to an otherwise tremendous meal."

"We had a fairly pleasant experience at Jeff Ruby's. The dining area was typical for a classic steakhouse but a bit cramped. I had difficulty leaving due to the poor spacing of the tables. For an appetizer I ordered the Prawns and Grits. This supposedly New Orleans style dish would never be served anywhere near New Orleans as it consisted of three small Tiger shrimp in a sauce that tasted like it came from a GFS can. My wife ordered the crab bisque which she enjoyed. For the main, I ordered a 20oz N.Y. strip. This was clearly a prime cut and cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the dover sole and they removed the bones table side. It was cooked well in a pleasant sauce. Service was generally good and attentive."
