"Unfortuntely there was live entertainment - a singer who was way too loud in a space that is not all that huge. I called the restaurant the next day to ask what nights there was no music and was told there will not be any music again We will definitely return. The food and service were terrific"

"This was our second visit. The mark of a good restaurant is its consistency. This visit was even better than our first and we truly enjoyed our first time, that is why we came back. The food is prepared beautifully, with great presentation and flavor. The service is excellent and very concerned everything is right and you are happy. Can't wait to return."

"We went on a Tuesday night were greeted warmly.
The stuffed artichoke was delicious...stuffed but light and full of fresh garlic.
Burata salad and red beet salad was great too.
Hubby had the seaford dish with pasta and he enjoyed it.
No room for dessert.

"Really terrific kitchen. The waiters mean well but fall a bit short on service. On the weekends you can barely hear yourself think, but during the week the noise isn't a problem.
All in all it's worth a visit."

"For those of you who take the Babylon line you see this restaurant right on Sunrise Highway past Lynbrook trsin station. The outside lighting has caught my eye many times
We decided to try it last Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere
We were not rushed which added to our enjoyment
It was a little noisy at times but not unbearable
The only complaint would be the size of the font on the menu. Eight point type .. to try to fit all the choices on two pages.
Nice touch at end was a complimentary sliced fruit platter served with our coffee
We will return"

"Excelent, every detail was covered. The food, delicious and authentic italian, the presentation just perfect. the atmosphere, clean, the space between tables, ideal. The music, italian, soft. The other guests, formal, well dressed and we were happy too. The Maitre, the chef, and all the personal, friendly, they knew very well their job.
My wife is chef, with a degree in italian food. We have visited almost twenty of best Italian Restaurants in New York. We rate Il Luogo in the top five."

"Stopped in for a quick dinner and had a wonderful time ,the food was great,I loved the special combination of lamb chicken and skirt steak in Barolo red wine sauce reduction,Quality of food was also top notch ,the mango sangria was the best part we enjoyed so much !!!! Very attentive staff , the service was impeccable ,service from the Maitre'd was nice enough but the waitstaff was excellent and plentiful .would definitely go back."

"For a restaurant only open a few months, they certainly have it well together. This site changes hands about every 10 years or less, and this time it's a real winner. Attentive staff, and truly excellent food. Try going after sundown since the beautiful windows allow the sun right into your eyes."

"From star to finish it was a model of fine dining.the maitre d' seating us and recommend us nice bottle of wine , the service was perfect ,the serving of drinks ,the presentation of the day specials ,the ordering of the meal with excellent guidance from our waiter to the serving of each course,food was Amazing !!! From the busboys to the maitre'de the staff was attentive without being fussy and friendly without being intrusive.
The food was very fresh and well prepared;
Two fish dishes were cooked perfectly and a traditional Italian "Sunday sauce' with homemade pasta was an unexpected treat.
THe wine service was exceptional including a decanting and aeration.
Desserts we sampled were also terrific.
We look forward to our second visit."
