"I usually don't write reviews but had to in this case. Our group ordered 5 different things and each one was lacking. The steaks arrived only mildly warm and my wife sent hers back. It arrived 10 minutes later only warm again. The duck was tough and chewy. The veal overcooked. The green beans were well prepared however. For the average $50 entree price tag, the food should be substantially better. I can think of much better places in NY for a kosher steak."

"This was a discovery for us -- we enjoyed truly fine dining with a nice wine list. On a Wednesday night the place was full yet the noise was manageable and we had an easy time with conversation. The location is wonderful -- All around a great evening."

"Came here with a Kosher client for dinner. Service was less than it should have been at this level. Food was good, and for those who are not Kosher, you'll find plenty to eat and probably wouldn't notice it was Kosher without being told - which I believe is their goal. There are plenty of places in this neighborhood to eat that I'd rather eat at, but if you are eating Kosher this is probably one of the best in the City."

"This was my second time at Jezebel and I had an interesting experience. I went for lunch and ordered a burger. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and when it came, it was very rare so i sent it back and asked for another one. Well...The second burger came back burnt, even the inside of the bun was black, i cant believe they even had the nerve to give it to me like that. The waitress asked if i wanted something else so i went with the steak salad which was AMAZING. I would go back to Jezebel because i would like to taste more of their food and I also love the ambiance. Im hoping I have a better experience next time."

"Excellent kosher cuisine in SoHo. Very attentive staff with good recommendations for pairing foods with the winelist. The spicy peppers and sausage were a nice compliment for the sweeter short ribs entree.
The preliminary toasted pita bread while reviewing the menus was a minimalist approach. But, you couldn't get full on the few pieces. A little something more substantial and unique for an upscale meat/fleishig resteraunt would be better."

"Although the service at this quite new and very stylish kosher restaurant is not as smooth as it will be (which they apologized for and compensated us), we really enjoyed eating here. The ambience is lovely. An old carriage house turned into a very stylish restaurant. The food we had was delicious (excellent steak tartare, risotto, and Moroccan meatballs), although a little more variety in the menu (lamb, duck) would be welcome eventually. Some very nice kosher bottlings on offer."

"I was very excited for the exeprience: it's not everyday that you find a kosher restarant in downtown manhattan that has beautiful decore. "two issues that have made us decide not to return:
1. We ordered the duck fries with our steak. They were served before the steak, and luke warm. We sent them back, and they came after the steak and were just reheated. For those prices, the fries should have come WITH THE STEAK and PIPING HOT.

"J-Soho has great potential. I am also concerned. There was a restaurant in Los Angeles that closed recently that had roughly the same ambience within the kosher milieu but, unfortunately, didn't make it long term. That restaurant's name was La Seine.
Meanwhile, J-Soho is really a needed compliment to the kosher restaurant scene. Particularly it's physical location upstairs off West Broadway gives it intimacy while its interior exudes warmth.
As for the food, I had veal meatballs, an excellent concept. The Waygu burger was to die for. The St. Emillion cab at $20 was excellent so long as the pour stays at 6-7 ounces."

"What a great surprise. Excellent food, great staff and beautiful decor. Easy also for NJ diners, straight out of the Holland then straight back in when done. If your looking to do business arrive early, by 8:00pm it starts to get energetic. Easy walk to all the SOHO shops too."

"The food was good for the exception of the steak. I spent 55 dollars on a big piece of, not meat but FAT, I honestly had to keep cutting around it to finally get to the steak and when I did, the meat had little to no taste at all. The sides they give with the steak were delicious though and my mother had the salmon and loved it. The ambiance is amazing, it is a very pretty restaurant to be in and the waiters were nice and the manager was super nice. The music was a bit too loud which wasn't a bother to me but it was to my mom. I will definitely go back there to try more of the food."
