"I located Cesare at the Beach on Open Table, Tripadvisor and Yelp. The reviews were consistent and they were right on!. The pasta is homemade. The table split a linguine carbonara that was excellent. Portions are a nice size and can easily be shared. We were a table of 5 and each person ordered something different. There were no complaints . The service was excellent. Professional, but down to earth. The dress is resort casual. I appreciated the presence of the owner. He went from table to table to assure that everyone's meal was perfect. He also made you feel welcome and like a group of regular customers. If you are in Clearwater Beach go to Cesare's on the Beach you won't be disappointed"

"I went to this independent traditional Italian place expecting a good meal. What I got was probably the best fish I've had since moving to the Tampa Bay area 10+ years ago. My mother had joined me and said it was one of the best fish she's ever had (and she's 76). It's a small place in a small strip mall on the edge of the Clearwater Beach community, away from the hustle and crowds of the beach. We sat outside and still had a little view of the water and it was so quiet and pleasant. We dined early (around 5:30 pm) and Cesare arrived before we left. He was very congenial, greeted each guest and was truly interested in their opinion. The service was excellent!"

"We were surprised to find a storefront casual dining spot with such good food. One issue was the lasagna was salty but everyone else enjoyed. Nice tender veal and handmade pasta. Very nice shrimp.

"The food was excellent and very Italian. The service was good, but our waiter stayed pretty busy with other tables - it was a Friday night. The prices were higher than indicated by Trip Advisors as every plate is priced separately. In other words, your entree doesn't come with a salad and a side vegetable or starch. Unless the entree is a pasta dish or a dish that incorporates veggies, they come at additional cost. Not that they are priced outrageously, just that you need to plan on spending more than indicated at Trip Advisors."

"Food was good but not excellent and certainly not worth the price. Menu was limited and portions were small. We sat outside and I'm glad we did it was very small inside. Service just barely meet our needs. This is not a place that we will be returning to there are plenty of other places on the beach that are more enjoyable."

"First, where was the beach?? It certainly wasn't anywhere near the restaurant! Regarding the food, the entrees were boring, over-sauced, and tasteless. Regarding the service, the owner of the restaurant was nasty and condescending to his young wait staff, making their performance poor bc they'were afraid that their boss would yell at them. Finally, the opening to the kitchen, which was right across from our table, was doorless, loud and very distracting. Not worthy of a second chance..."

"The only thing better than the food was the friendliness of the staff. From the bartender during our premeal drink to our host to our server to the owner who thanked us, a very cordial group. Our party of four were all thrilled with our meals. The three penne based dishes were outstanding as was our brushetta appetizer. The lasagna may have been the best I had outside of Little Italy in Boston or South PhilAdelphia. Having traveled much of the country, the aforementioned areas have tremendous italian food, and this south fla restaurant was not far behind. (Un)fortunately, the meal was so good and portions so fair, there was no room for dessert. If in the area and looking for something other than bar food, would suggest a stop here."

"You must try the lasagna. On a recent trip to Tuscany my wife and I had a home cooked meal on a farm where everything was made fresh and with only the best ingredients. I can only say that if I closed my eyes and imagined the rolling hills of Italy's farm countryside while I ate that delicacy I was in seventh heaven. The service was outstanding! I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone."

"Our first visit with a party of 5 was a positive experience. Being greater by the owner hand having him check with us was very nice. The server we has was excellent. The food was good but not outstanding. The owner kept saying we should tell him if anything was not right. I ordered Osso bocco and they did not have it. The server suggested the veal chop. It was tasty until I hit the large amount of fat on this chop. The owner came by and again asked if everything was ok and when I told him my $36 veal chop was full of fat he just walked away. Suggest you do not imply you will correct something wrong and not deliver. The other dishes were good......no real wow."

"We truly enjoyed this restaurant. The food was amazing. We enjoyed it so much we returned the following evening for more!! Our apps were great(carpaccio, tuna, eggplant rollatini). The Ossobuco was to die for, so favorable and tender. The carbonara pasta was done perfectly. The pasta is freshly made and as a result is very tender and delicious. Dishes are made to order, so changes are encouraged, and easily accommodated. The servers were very knowledgable and friendly. Cesare himself was strolling through the restaurant providing entertainment. Our only regret was that we had to return home the following day and were not able to enjoy more menu items. Remember to leave room for dessert, they too are scrumptious. Overall it was the best!"

"Service at Cesare was excellent maybe due to it being Valentines Day but we appreciated the catering. Good Italian food, the lasagna was wonderful with good size portions. We were so full that we split a dessert which was tiramisu also excellent. Would definitely go back again."
