A new chapter has been opened in Seattle — Library Bistro and Bookstore Bar. Serving delicious American fare, our restaurant brings a cozy neighborhood feel with 'a little attitude' to the downtown area.
Reminiscent of a 1940s and 1950s style restaurant with high back booths, charcoal blue bookcases that display hundreds of books by famous and infamous authors, the Library Bistro is a perfect place to enjoy a truly memorable meal -- or skip a few chapters and have dessert first.
"I can't remember when I had such a strong negative reaction to a dining experience. Salad was the size of a side and one was overdressed, the other under. Burgers served plain, dry and overcooked. Asked for mayo, told no, just aoli, requested the aoli which arrived just in time of the last bite. Service was sporadic at best which was odd since not many diners. Meal was served at different time so those that had salad for lunch were almost done by the time the burgers arrived. Lots of choices downtown, we'll be making other choices next time."

"We went there for the first time for Mother's Day brunch. I ordered the French Toast because it sounded decadent. It was supposed to be filled with cream cheese and apricot on a bed of caramel sauce. The caramel sauce was burnt and it looked like some French toast you get from a freezer box, flipsy, small and tasted dry like cardboard. The waiter took it away and I ordered something else and offered a free drink as compensation but overall the food just was not impressive. Great ambiance, but the menu needs work."

"Took my wife and daughter to Library Bistro for Mother's Day Brunch. The food was good, the atmosphere was nice, the service was excellent, and the bloody mary's were superb. My only complaint is the food took a while to get served but the staff kept us in mimosa and coffee."

"It was Mother's Day, which I'm sure made a difference in service, but our server seemed like she'd never done this before. Never introduced herself, our food and drinks passed our table twice headed for other tables before coming back around to us, and it took truly 15 minutes to get change for our bill. The food was fine but not amazing, and the display and delivery was NOT worth the money. I loved the atmosphere and was really excited to spend my first Mother's Day there, but sadly, we left having to laugh it off as a mistake."

"Enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day brunch here. I didn't realize the restaurant was located in a hotel when making our reservation through Open Table. But I'm so glad we dined here. The ambience was lovely, and the Sunday brunch menu options were fabulous. We all loved our meals. Service was attentive, but I gave it a lower rating because it took quite awhile for our meals to be served. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed our brunch here and I'd happily return again!"

"We took my mom there for Mother's Day, she and I have some food allergies that are workable. The resturarant was not going accommodate us. With that said, it left us with 1/4 of the menu. It was a little disappointing. We very rarely have this problem and will not be back."

"I took my boyfriend, who loves libraries, here for his birthday - the wait staff was excellent. Upon request they played our song, and were willing to attach a candle to the dessert we ordered. This was an absolutely phenomenal experience with excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere for book lovers, and I will definitely be returning."

"Brunched here with a girlfriend and we both loved the "bookish" interior. Great ambiance if you've got a love of all things literary. Service was prompt and efficient for the most part. My meal, however, was overly salty (curried crawfish benedict)and I really couldn't finish it for that reason. So perhaps a rethink of that recipe is in order. Otherwise, though, a really positive experience and I look forward to dining there again soon."
