"I reserved a table through OPEN TABLE for this restaurant - for 9 people. When we got there, apparently, the reservation did not end up at the restaurant! Luckily I had the confirmation number with me. I should have called the restaurant directly, but I chose to do it through the internet...... I thought "What could go wrong?"
Well, lesson learned. I do not trust that the reservation will go through and I will not use this service again until it is more reliable. It could have been a very embarrassing moment. To top off the aggravation, there was an attitude given off by the owner that was most unwelcoming. He seemed irritated and took it out on the staff (and us - to a degree). Food was great, but leave the attitude at home!!!"

"We were treated terribly by the host. He was quite rude when seating us, trying to put us right by the kitchen door even though the restaurant was half empty and we had a reservation. We noticed during our meal that he checked on all other tables in the restaurant but ignored our table. Other reviewers raved about the food, but we thought it was slightly above average and expensive. We will not be going back."

"On top of what you would expect from any restaurant (the food being delicious), we were served by the owner who was waiting tables that night. He takes true pride in this restaurant, and it shows. We not only had a great food experience, but great overall, learned something about Italy while we were at it! Would recommend to anyone and definitely would go back!"

"The food is well prepared and delicious. The service was off because two people didn't show up for work. Otherwise, the service is good and attentive. BYOB, and the wine merchant is across the street. Parking in rear makes the access good. It's so nice to have a dinner type restaurant in Upper Montclair."

"Good food in the heart of upper Montclair with a back entrance for handicapped diners. The portions were just right and the food was good. It was a bit pricey for what we ordered, moreso than our favorite Osteria Giotto which is far superior in every facet of fine dining. I did enjoy the stuffed rigatoni and it was cooked just right. Desserts were homemade and excellent - especially the ricotta cheesecake. It would not be my first choice going forward but certainly worht a try for first time diners there."

"My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Tuscany. I like going to the village of Upper Montclair with it's shops and restaurants. The food was well prepared. We enjoyed the live music. "My wife and I dined at Tuscany on Valentine's Day. We had a really nice time and the food was not only excellent but appropriately priced...no price gouging for a substandard pre-fixed meal. The atmosphere was relaxing with just enough music from the live entertainment at the perfect volume to allow for dinner conversation. The staff was pleasant and attentive and seemed to care that my wife and I were enjoying the time together. We will add this restaurant as one of our regular Italian place's to go too for our "date nights"."

"Tuscany is what an Italian restaurant should be - not pretentious, but relaxed and low key. The food is excellent, and the fish and pasta dishes exceed expectations.
Service is attentive and friendly, and the resturant just feels comfortable. A great place to enjoy a family meal or meet friends for a fun night out.
I don't often write OT reviews, but we had such a good time at Tuscany I just had to make some notes."
