"I'm hesitant to say it's the best in the South Bay, but it's a strong contender.
The beer proprietor Larry does a phenomenal job keeping the taps fresh and rotated. He always has a stout, a sour and good mix of local CA and US brews along with a diverse array of Belgians and Euro beers.
Food is impeccably prepared. Wife and I enjoyed the Rabbit Meatballs, Asparagus bisque as appetizers. I had the Salmon Loche Duart and my wife enjoyed the Duck Two-ways. Food was incredible, and even better tasting when properly paired with one of the fine beers Larry offered. I paired the Salmon with a Russian River's Supplication, Wife's duck was well paired with an herby pale ale."

"The three of decided to try something new and we were pleased to have found it. The selection of beverages (wine and beer) was excellent. The food was very inventive. Lots of small plates. We had the lettuce wrap which included strawberries, pistachios, goat cheese and a light vinegrette. Wonderful. The soup was so good I may just return for that. The duck was perfectly scrumptious. We had two ounces of a very light beer which tasted like champagne.
Service was excellent. Our server was attentive, helpful, and pleasant."

"The beer list is long and varied.....with lots of choices on tap. Our server knew her pours and was able to answer all questions and make suggestions. She even offered a sample pour when I was unsure. Food was tasty and artfully presented. Our drawback was the outdoor seating noise level. The patio dining backs up to a thin bamboo divider to the next door restaurant patio and there was a very noisy patron on the other side. LB really has no control over this but the music speaker directly overhead did not help. Kind server did quickly okay our move to nearby available table. We still should have moved indoors."

"This place has incredibly delicious and creative dishes with very fresh ingredients. The tables for 2 are placed very close together, so not very intimate. But the energy there is fun and very positive."

"We have eaten at Liquid Bread 3-4 times and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and imaginative. The beer list is outstanding. The service is truly excellent not only in execution but also knowledge of the food and pairing suggestions. Highly recommended."

"This was our second trip to Liquid Bread. Once seated, we waited too long to be acknowledged by staff. Servers and runners whizzed past us without contact. Finally, we were addressed pleasantly but rushed.
The food was very good, again. Inventive menu, and lots of good flavors. One entree was quite small (mussels), but overall everyone was impressed with the dishes. Unfortunately we had a few avid brewers and beer experts in our group. They were puzzled that IPAs were served in snifters, and in slightly skimpy amounts. Also the server was spotty on the beer recommendations. Makes us think Liquid Bread might be more about the food (good), than the craft brews. Still, a very promising restaurant with talented chefs."

"As a beer lover I wanted to review this location for my beer review page. I was excited to hear there was a place in Campbell close by to check out. I made a reservation and my husband and a couple friends were going to meet us there at 6. My husband made it there before I did and were reluctant to seat him (even thought there was no one in the restaurant). I finally got there and quickly ordered off of their draft menu a Sour in the Rye from the Bruery. Our waiter was nice enough, but I defintely felt we were rushed and wanted to snack rather than order a full meal. Bottle list was also nice, but when we were served they took the bottle to the kitchen instead of letting us check it out. I probably will not go back. But it is worth a try."

"Both the food and service were exceptional. The menu is fairly limited in choice and more adventuresome than other restaurants, but the dishes themselves were full of flavors and textures that came together beautifully. We were lucky enough to sit at one of the few outside tables on an amazing day, so we are not sure what the atmosphere is like inside. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere relaxed and casual, the perfect neighborhood place. We will go back!"

"We were pleasantly surprised by Liquid Bread, where tap and bottled craft brews meet absolutely wonderful food. In the 'Gastropub' genre, many time one encounters a glorified burger joint. While Liquid Bread does have a burger, the other menu offerings are sophisiticated and creative. There's a charred kale and pomegranate salad that is fabulous. The chicken and waffles is an elevated version of the classic, not fried, but a balance of flavors that shows off the chef's talent. The brew selection is outstanding, and the servers and staff patiently explain the characteristics of the beers.
Absolutely a top choice for beer adventurers who also love food crafted by an obviously talented chef. A winning combination."

"Food was very good. My wife had a salad that she said was too salty to eat, so she sent it back. Otherwise our food was great!
One issue; i was surprised to find my beer order delivered in a brandy snifter. According to the waitress they portion beer based on alcohol content; only the low alcohol pilsners come in a schooner glass, the others are much smaller. There was no mention of this on the menu, and i have NEVER seen this before.
When the check came they had forgotten to remove the salad we sent back, but did remember to charge us for the replacement salad. I would normally ignore this, but several other reviews had similar billing issues, so it seems a trend."

"Great food;impressive beer list. Short but excellent wine list. Attentive but not pushy service; having a conversation over dinner is easy. The artichoke appetizer(baby artichokes on a bed of arugula with a few other goodies) which was delicious--nice mix of flavors. The grilled kale appetizer with goat cheese and pomegranate seeds was pretty and tasty. I had the duck meatballs on a small bed of creamy polenta. This is to die for! Smallish (OK b/c rich), tender juicy meatballs enhanced by a restrained glaze of chicken liver gravy: a sophisticated take on mashed potatoes and meatballs. My husband had the bavette steak which was perfectly cooked to his order. Salmon: perfectly cooked, not dry at all. Dessert: killer brownie. We'll be back!"

"Our first visit. They seemed a bit overwhelmed -even though we had reservations. Inside the tables are extremely close together, so don't expect any privacy. It's also very loud, so it was tough to carry on a conversation. That said, food was great."

"One of the best lists I have seen, mostly by the bottle, however the food portions are small and while it was tasty, it was also quite expensive. No liquor available just beer and wine selections only. Great place to try if you are big on beer but otherwise it won't make my rotation of frequently visited restaurants."

"Overall it was a great experience. One of our party asked for bread and we were given toasted baguette, great for bruschetta, not so good for sopping up sauce from the plate. The food was unique, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The waitstaff was knowledgeable of the the extensive beer list, though you should probably have a backup in mind when ordering from the bottled beer list. The ambiance was okay, but the acoustics indoors was VERY loud. If the weather was nice enough I would highly recommend outdoor seating if you would like to carry on a conversation."
