H. Harper Station, located in Atlanta’s Reynoldstown neighborhood, is owned and operated by mixologist Jerry Slater, formerly of One Flew South, his consulting project at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Jerry designed H. Harper Station to be the restaurant that he and his friends would eat and drink at on their days off. Located at the historic Atlanta & West Point rail station, H. Harper Station has design flourishes from its historic past with modern interpretations of classic cocktails and southern diner staples. H. Harper Station bears the name of Jerry’s maternal grandfather, Harold Harper, a railroad engineer for more than 40 years.
"Has fantastic crafted cocktails and the staff is very knowledgeable in explaining all the ingredients and offering recommendations. They offer a great vegetable plate that can be done vegan, and I was thrilled to see that they've now added a vegan option on the dessert list. And not simply a bowl of fruit. When I was there it was a chocolate ganache tart, and it was great."

"I am still having dreams about how awesome my burger was! Nice small bun, double patty cooked to perfection, with cheese and bacon sent straight from heaven. And the rosemary tots were amazing, not overly fried or seasoned."

"I am always happy to come back to H. Harper and realize that I can get an interesting well mixed cocktail and great meal of small plates of tasty beautifully plated food. It makes me sad when I realize I have wasted money trying other restaurants that don't measured up to this standard."

"The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and eager to please. The special cocktails are more than you could hope for. The mixture of fresh ingredients, with premium liquor are made to tantalize your taste buds. The drinks are not some run of the mill tonics that they just decided to add fresh fruit to make the drinks look pretty. They are crafted with unique flavors, such as ginger, honey, orgeat, and white mint. The food is delicious tease your taste-buds with the garlic-herb tater tots!"

"Awesome does not give it justice, It is a quaint restaurant set up in an old train station. This was my second time eating here and each time I am left wanting more. I have no complaints, only praise, for the food, service, and atmosphere."

"Brought my friend out to celebrate her graduation from her Master's program. Absolutely loved the Augusta Green Jacket cocktail (me) and the Bee's Elbow (her). I had the pork loin, and she had the burger--the food was excellent.
I recommend this place over H&F. The drinks are just as well thought out, and the place isn't absolutely packed with rude Buckhead yuppies. Definitely order the tots; they're some of the best I've had. I think they fry them in duck fat."

"Much of our food was oversalted, which is a statement I've made twice in my entire life. I normally love salty food. The catfish was a C, as was the succotash. That having been said, the 'bacon and eggs' appetizer was fantastic. Good cocktail list, cute interior."

"Harper Station is always a good experience. This visit was for the Rhum Clement tasting in which dinner and rum cocktails were the focus. The food and drinks were stellar as always. The service was also great. We always enjoy hanging out with Tim the Enchanter (our waiter) and it was nice to meet some of the other staff during this event. Great food. Great drinks. Can't recommend Harper Station enough."

"H Harper Station has been a tremendous addition to the neighborhood. The bar is first rate and the food is always well prepared and delicious. This was our second time for Sunday brunch. Brunch has been equally as good as the dinners we've had there. They've got a great range of dishes for brunch and they are all accessible, but a bit eclectic. The Rabbit and Waffles I had for Easter Brunch was a great take on chicken and waffles. The Engineer's Breakfast and Cathead Biscuits w/ gravy were also great. The chef's take on French Toast, to me, epitomizes the menu. Its a standard brunch item but done in the Chef's way and definitely not like you would do at home (which is the point of going out right?). We will be back for brunch (and dinner)."

"We sampled from the menu. The shrimp and grits were awesome and we also enjoyed the gnudi. The mussels really didn't have a lot of flavor, unfortunately, but we were glad of our other picks."

"We went there to take a cocktail class from Jerry Slater, the owner, and expected to stay an hour or so. We liked it so much, we ended up eating dinner & staying for 6 more hours! The cocktails and beautifully laid-out bar can't be beat. The food is really good, consisting of locally-sourced, delicious but uncomplicated snacks, veg and bigger plates. Sarah, our server, was perfect. We will definitely be back and will try the outside seating now that spring is here!"

"Great food and great drinks - the options are endless. The Bacon and Eggs is sinful and rich and I would go back just for the donut holes and coffee ice cream alone!"

"Pass by this restaurant a lot and decided to give it a try on Sunday. Went towards the end of brunch and tried several different items to see what they had. They were out of the bacon/horseradish hushpuppies (end of brunch service, maybe?) but I ordered shrimp gumbo, fried green tomatoes & deviled eggs. Eggs were really nothing to rave about - just average - but the tomatoes had a nice crust & the small bowl of gumbo was good, hot and had a couple of butterflied shrimp in it. Hubby had a burger and tater tots - nothing special but he enjoyed it. Wait staff was pleasant snd attentive. A couple of larger parties were there but the noise level wasn't bad at all. I'll probably try it again for the dinner menu."
