"Made a reservation for myself, husband and work colleagues from Europe. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, the wine, and the food which was of an excellent standard. I was a little nervous as both colleagues live/ have lived in France! They both agreed that the food was authentic, they could converse in French to the waiter and one waiter was Romanian the same nationality at one of the colleagues so they enjoyed a conversation in Romanian! A big hit with all of the group. Looking forward to a return visit in the not to distant future."

"Added to one of the best fooding experience in NY. The food is a good potion originated from Basque meaning the dish is not the typical size in US. The service was extremely good we had a very fun night and the restaurant gave a very good memory in New York.

"I absolutely love the delicious casserole dishes here! They're savory and hearty but not overwhelming in flavors. There's an excellent selection of wine that suits many of the tasty dishes here. Majority of wines are French which I'm happy about since I love them. Everyone is wonderful! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Chef Sébastian Pourrat knows how to make comforting French food in a sleek ambiance. Cocotte is one of my best discoveries in NYC and all-time favorites! Perfect for a date or an evening with friends -- you'll definitely find something you'll love. My boyfriend enjoyed the food very much and was impressed. I look forward to many more exciting visits!"

"My husband and I live right around the corner from this neighborhood gem! Food is delicious! Waitstaff friendly and attentive. We have yet to have a bad meal and can't wait to return! Portions are perfect for sharing so my husband and I usually order an appetizer and then 3 or 4 dishes and share--suggestions are always spot on! It can get noisy on the weekends so if you want a quiet date night, I suggest going during the week. Waitstaff is amazing and really make this place special!"

"My husband and I went there on a Monday night on our way home from a meeting when we discovered this little gem. Great food, from the stuffed mushrooms to the hamburger (wow, and I don't even love burgers all that much) to the lemon tart (out of this world, and I sadly consider myself a lemon tart connoisseur). Service was lovely, attentive and just really nice staff. In a city stuffed with restaurants, I rarely like to return to ones I've been to as I always want to discover something new, but in the case of Cocotte, and in the words of the Terminator, I'll be back."

"While the quality of the food is very good, the format of small dishes served together is unpleasant and distracting. The noise level is very high and the seating cramped. All in all, not a relaxing atmosphere. To get enough to eat you must order quite a few dishes which makes the effective price higher than the menu would lead you to believe. I think one can find better places for the money."

"The experience at Cocotte reminded us of a visit to our favorite restaurant in Paris. The food was an excellent representation of French / Basque menu. Fresh ingredients from top local vendors. The staff was the perfect combination of friendly, attentive and efficient… all in one. The place was packed but the staff made us feel as if we were the only ones on site. "We had a wonderful experience at Cocotte. The food was tasty, the wine interesting, and the service was friendly, attentive, enthusiastic yet not overbearing. I was with friends I have not seen in many years and had a lot of catching up to do, and the hosts/waitstaff paid just the right amount of attention to us without interrupting the flow of conversation yet making sure we did not neglect the food and wine.
