"We found that the food and beer is very good. The establishment is clean, big and has beautiful detailed woodwork. A nice Bavarian feel! Our only frustration was with the server who spent far too much time going over every detail of the menu. A simple introduction and overview of the options would have been enough. We plan on going again with our friends."

"This place was everything my family and I were hoping for, if a little loud. We loved sampling all of the sausages, and the side dishes were very tasty and traditionally German. Nice place, good service, very popular (so we made reservations, and it was very easy to do so online--they even accomodated our needs when we knew we were going to be late). I'd go back!"

"Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great. Had a ton of fun, played bocce, ate and hung out. Make sure you make reservations, it gets busy early! And get on the list for bocce the second you walk in the door! The wait can be 3+ hours..."

"Extreme hit spot in Seattle. Take any reservation you can make and stay as long as you can. Service is great and food is good (German authentic) but the line can exceed 3 hour waits. Go early, drink, eat and play."

"Good spatzle, but stay away from the meatloaf sliders. They were Spam-like, at best. It is new and working out the kinks, so I will give it another try. I am also not a beer drinker, so a lot of the whole concept is not for me."

"We loved Von Trapp's ~ all four adults and two kids. One of our party is German and felt it was "just like a German restaurant". Our table was ready when we got there and they even called my cell phone before we came to make sure they had the reservation correct. We tried several meals and enjoyed them all and played bocce for an hour after dinner. The bocce really added to the experience and gave us a chance to have some fun beyond feasting.

"OVERALL: Fun atmosphere. Glad we got there early. Staff was accommodating: we requested a reservation for 5 (largest I could get), but had 30 people over 4.5 hours. They put us in a large booth with hallway standing access that worked OK for adults (not so much for the kids).
MENU: I'd like to see more descriptions of the different sausages/meats and beers (love the multi-sizes and the 2 litre BOOT!). Even the sampler didn't list the sausages that were included, but was delicious! And for those not Bavarian-inclined, knowing the diff between Cheddarwurst|Brat|Frankfurter is helpful.
WISH: With a name like Von Trapp's, the inference to Sound of Music is inescapable. Any chance for Sound of Music sing-a-long (lottery; one song per hour"

"Great food in a very fun atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful and unique and the food was delicious. Drinking beer from a glass boot was the highlight of our evening."
