"From the valet to the table the service was wonderful. The food was exceptional. My wife's crab cake appetizer bursted with pearly white jumbo lump and was served on a butter sizzling plate. I had the Who Dat shrimp and highly recommend. They take shrimp and stuff them with jumbo lump then wrap them with bacon and drizzle with a creole mustard and Thai sweet chili sauce. We each had a ribeye that couldn't have been cooked more perfect. I liked the simple seasoning of salt, pepper, butter. First side dish was crawfish, andouille Mac & cheese. A must have. Our second side was creamed spinach which was as good if not better than any I've had. We skipped dessert."

"There are many steakhouses in New Orleans better than this one. Food was OK, but our main server was poor. Came to our table chewing gum. Didn't know how to present and/or serve a bottle of wine. Described everything as "really awesome."

"I was disappointed with the food and the service. I had heard that this was the best steak house in New Orleans, and frankly it was a step above the low end chains. The steak was small and the prices high. Our server seemed to be handling half the restaurant while others were standing around. Cold coffeee at the end of the meal was the final insult."

"Our first visit and we will be back. The steaks, crabcakes, salads, and creamed spinach were fantastic. I found this restaurant because of Open Table. When I travel to cities like LA and Phoenix, almost all restaurants are on Open Table. In New Orleans many are not. They are making a mistake. This is now my favorite Steak House in New Orleans. This now tops Mr. John's for me. Free validated parking is great. That does not happen even across the street at Herbsaint. The service was excellent. If you want a great steak in New Orleans this is the current winner."

"Dinner on 4/19 was our first trip, but certainly will not be our last.
Bone-in-filet? This was new to me, and was outstanding. My GF and I split the filet and the twin lobsters. Filet was perfectly cooked med-rare, lobsters were tender and a great flavor. Creamed spinach was good, but typical.

"Best steak I've had in New Orleans. Service was exceptional and the food was smoking hot. I had a medium rare ribeye steak. I couldn't have asked for a better meal. For appetizers, we had lobster tacos and the fried green tomatoes with jumbo lump crab over the top. The wine was excellent. Very energetic scene. Mark Ingram came in later in the meal with his family and had a great time with the wait staff. Highly recommend."

"We are so glad we heard about Desi Vegas! It was an easy walk from the Quarter, and was very worth it. The amuse bouche was a meatball in grandma's marinara, and it almost made me cry it was so tasty. We had salads, filets, mushrooms, and onion rings, and it was all divine. Didn't get a chance to look at wine list because we brought a 97 Dominus. We enjoyed the great atmosphere created by the staff and Desi working the room."

"Having a steak restaurant back in the heart of the CBD is a great thing. Having Mr. John's be the one who opened the steak restaurant is even better. I had a salad and two apps for my lunch. It was phenomenal. The bacon wrapped crab meat stuffed shrimp in thai chili sauce was incredible."

"The food and service was absolutely exceptional! The steaks are to die for. There are two bars that make for a very fun and glamorous atmosphere. This will be our new favorite place to dine and/or have drinks in New Orleans. Do not miss this restaurant! Desi Vega knows how to make a great restaurant."
