"Three of the four of us had the whole fish (supposedly red snapper, but who knows?), and it was very good as were the fries. Veggies were uninspired. The 4th diner had stuffed grape leaves that she said were extremely salty and begged for an accompanying something. Food came quickly, and the server was pleasant but forgot one diner's drink (and that was the only drink we ordered). The restaurant itself is very attractive. I rated it as "quiet," but perhaps that was true because there were only 4 or 5 tables occupied - and this was a Friday evening. Also, the music was way too loud for our ears. So all in all, just okay in my opinion."

"Kazan is a sparkling new neighborhood gem; I live in Port Washington and have already been there 3 times. People in my family have already been here 5 times because they've really shown Ayhan that he can't totally monopolize the cuisine-east-of-France options in town.
Lepeshka, kazan salad, kebabs, uzebk plov and the whole fish. Get a napoleon while you're at it.
You'll thank me."

"Place looked much bigger in the pictures but it was still lovely inside. The bartender was very friendly and inviting. The food was very fragrant and tasty. I would definitely recommend Kazan to everyone that is into trying different and extrodinary. We will definitely be back."

"After reading such great reviews we were eager to try Kazan recently for lunch. The restaurant is very pretty and the first impression is quite positive. Then it went down hill. The waiter was hounding us to order although we were still waiting for another guest. When we ordered drinks to appease him he didn't know if the restaurant had a signature cocktail and couldn't find out because there was no bartender. When our party arrived we ordered, and then the waiter decided to tell us about the lunch special- he didn't mention it the previous 20 times he came to the table. Our food arrived, tasteless, and our waiter disappeared. Will not return."
