Southpark, a contemporary seafood restaurant in Portland, Oregon, is inspired by the amazing farmers, fishers and winemakers of the region. Located in the heart of Portland’s Cultural District, Southpark is the window into Portland’s arts and entertainment where guests can relax in the dining room, wine bar or outdoor dining while taking in the vibrant energy of downtown.
Fresh fish and naturally raised beef, pork and oysters from the northwest are showcased every day. Southpark also offers a wine experience unlike any other in Portland with an award winning wine list and comfortable yet sophisticated wine bar.
"Southpark is an energetic, hot spot to hit prior to another event. Our service was efficient but not rushed. Friendly and organized staff. Wonderful wine/cocktail selections. Our entire table was so happy with their selections -- don't miss the prosciutto wrapped trout!"

"Although we enjoyed the evening overall, and the food was good, the service left a lot to be desired. Slow bar order (actually, our server forgot and we had to re-order 30 minutes in), never a full water/iced tea glass, everything was late or forgotten. But, the food was good and with a different server, I expect the experience would have been better."

"We have eaten a few times at Southpark pre-theater primarily because of its location close to the Performing Arts Center and have been continually underwhelmed Our party of four were very disappointed with our dinners, though the service was stellar. An appetizer of smoked trout was dry, the pickled greens way too strong a flavor to balance with the fish, the entree fish(halibut & salmon) dishes were overcooked, a pasta & seafood dish on the gummy side, with scanty portions of seafood. At the prices charged for mediocre food, we'll be looking for other options next time."

"My wife and I have eaten here multiple times, and always enjoy the food. This time we had an out-of-town visitor who was really blown away by the sturgeon form the fresh list."

"Appetizers were good, especially the smoked trout. My pasta, spaghetti with seafood ok, pasta amatriciana excellent. Gelato absolutely tasteless, ferment brulee delicious. Some wine good, some mediocre."

"We found the venue very noisy, but so what... you all know how that is with some eateries. What we hadn't expected was that the 16 +/- people at the 2 adjacent tables, who were part of a sales convention, very generously paid for our wine to placate us for their boisterousness! The salads were very nice - mine was the beetroot - as were the mains, "Idaho sturgeon" for me (farmed, I assume, since they're endangered in the wild) and prosciutto-wrapped trout for my wife. The trout was fairly large, and the wrap was salty, but taken in small bites, the prosciutto did enhance the flavour."

"Great food but the lousiest, weakest coffee in town! Last two times there it wasn't hot and no one offered a refill!!! Not good in a town with coffee like Portland has...."

"Good food, but you're paying a little more than you would think. Best thing about this though is that it is across the street from the Arlene Schnitzer. So you pay a bit for the premium location, but it is well worth it. Reservations advised."

"We've been there many times, and it's always great. It's, in my opinion, the best example of Pacific NW cuisine in Portland, and where I suggest out-of-towners to go if they want a very nice meal that represents our city."

"I absolutely love this place. Anytime I come to Portland, I go out of my way to make sure I make it here. For some tourists its Popeye's, for me it's SouthPark. The food is always amazing."

"this has been a long time favorite. They never dissappoint. I regularly take out of town guest here. Excellent food. Oysters and fish of the day are usually high on my list of must haves. The wine list is extensive and never lacking for a great bottle. We enjoyed a phenomenal Malbec that everyone at the table agreed was one of the best they had ever had. The staff is highly educated, very personable. I always find value in a wait person that knows the menu and knows how to "romance" what is available. Highly recommend!!"

"We have been to Southpark a number of times, and the fish dishes are usually excellent, This time there was a "beef and lamb pie" that was only fair. Service always very good; desserts excellent. Very nice place to go before the theater."

"The service was very good. I wasn't enamored with the menu. I had a hard time selecting something that appealed to me. I finally ordered a steak. It was tasty but tough. I wouldn't order it again. The beet salad was delicious, the bread was good and the gelato was yummy. So all was not lost."

"I have only eaten at SouthPark for lunch and every time I do, I say I need to come back for dinner! The food is delightful and so refreshing to have something a step up but without costing a fortune. In addition, I've always had excellent service - prompt and polite but not hovering. Excellent place for a lunch during a hectic work day!"

"Our entrees, consisting of four different seafood dishes, were expertly prepared; portion sizes were just right for lunch; and our server was knowledgeable, personable and efficient. All in all an excellent dining experience--we'll happily return whenever we get the hankering for fresh, northwest fish."
