"Great meatballs and very good pizza. Very good overall and the consistency you want in a top restaurant is there. The surprise is the awesome Philly Cheesesteak that is a must ap.The TVs and noise can be a bit distracting to some, energy to others. It is not the place for a romantic dinner but definitely fun for 4 or more.
I still have Runway 84 a little ahead on food and value, but behind on atmosphere and Prime Italian is a blend of the 2 if you go family style. Skip lunch for any of these and mange."

"I am a self-confessed foodie for sure. Food here is very good but better can be found for less money at multiple South Florida locations (single slice of average carrot cake for $16). Also, do not expect to have a conversation with anyone beyond three feet of your personal space due to the noise level - you are essentially dining in a night club (I knew this in advance but was willing to accept this in exchange for the legendary food experience as described by other reviewers). Overall, our party was mostly disappointed in the culinary experience, especially after all the hype."

"I wanted to try something new for my birthday and coming to Cafe Martorano was a GREAT decision. Steve and his staff were EXCELLENT. We received complimentary shots and appetizers which was really nice. I really enjoyed myself. The music was great. The food was great. I will be coming back and will try the other locations as well. I really like how Steve took the time out to take pictures with my friends and I, and when I posted them on Facebook and Instagram my friends all said that was nice of him. I have found a new place to add to my list of favorites!!!!!!"

"My wife and I dined at cafe martorano on Friday evening, May 3,2013. We had a 9pm reservation, we were seated pretty much upon arrival. Our waiter was very good. The food was also very good. For starters we had prosciutto and parmasian cheese, and a pizza. The pizza was not so great. My meatball and salad dinner was great, the ricotta was amazing. My wife had the seafood pasta special which was also very good. While eating Steve himself was there keeping the music going, very loud, I am a music person so didn't mind; actually found it fun. If your looking to have good dinner Converstaion then this is not the place for you. Overall lots of fun, totally different then any other Italian restaurant I have ever been to and I am from NY."

"I flew down from CT for my Birthday and it was worth the trip. Steve was cooking and we opted to not even order off the menu and go with the chefs choice. They kept wheeling out the food, until we couldn't eat anymore.
Grilled octopus, tuna tar tar, eggplant stack, fresh mozz, and the best meatballs in the world!
Dinner courses included lasagna, grouper, halibut, steak, lamb pasta.

"The service was the best I ever experienced at any restaurant, Steve knows how to run a tight ship and I REALLY can appreciate that! The food was authentic italian right down to the mozzarella ball and ricotta...
The only thing I can say that I would have liked better was the sound level was very loud, couldn't really have a conversation too easily."

"I have dinned with my family here while on vacation each year. It is the highlight of our trip and the food is indescribable. The chef and owner, Steve Martorano has been wonderful and is very friendly to his guests. The staff are exceptional and always take good care of us. The prices are for those who enjoy fine dining, and should note that the prices match the rare quality of the cuisine. If you don't enjoy the night life scene, go earlier in the evening for dinner, but for a whole new dining experience and nightclub-esque setting, plan to eat dinner after 10 pm. Either way, Cafe Martrano does not disappoint. I will continue to eat there each visit to Ft Lauderdale and I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"It was a wonderful experience. Even though we had to wait 30 minutes for our table, trust me when I say that it was well worth the wait. It's understandable with the limited space and overall size of the restaurant and they really do a very nice job of operating the front of the house. As far as the service goes, it was apparent that the server was extremely knowledgable of the menu, wine list and especially their specialties of the night which were featured on ipads. It was fun and innovative. I was surprisingly impressed with how in depth and detailed not only the server was but the busboy as well, describing everything from drinks to dessert with confidence and charm. This restaurant takes pride in achieving greatness and it really shows"

"What a fantastic place!! I can honestly say there is NOTHING like it! It got better and better as the night went on. The staff treated us like family and it was our first time there! Hands down BEST service we've ever had! And it seemed like all the patrons there felt the same way, not to mention they had to be on at least a 4 hour wait from the looks of it, yet they made us feel like we were the only ones there! Its such a refreshing feeling when your being taken care of by people who love wht theyre doing. Well done Cafe Martorano, you are most certainly doing it right!!!!!"

"Hands down, the best Italian Food I have ever had! I'm from Italian heritage and live in Chicago, but have been going to Cafe Martorano for almost 20 years. Every time I visit South Florida. It's a place that you can go and spend the whole night. Especially when Steve and/or his son start spinning old school and new music. Can always see a great gangster movie playing on the TV screens also. Keep your eyes open while there. You just may spot a celebrity in the restaurant!!"

"The food was excellent but very pricey and the wine selection was too high for the choices available. The bar appears to be very attractive and was busy when we were there. The service was excellent and very helpful. The restaurant is very noisy and makes it difficult to carry on a conversation. The location is very convenient for my wife and me and our friends and we would go there more often, especially during the slow season if it were not so expensive.
Overall it was a nice experience but not as good as the owner appears to think it is."

"Food was incredible authentic Italian American done right! Some of the freshest food I have had in a long time. Went there for Easter dinner and had the best meal of the week. Strongly recommend the calamari and homemade meatballs. The service was incredible. All of the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and determined to give you a great experience."

"A member of our party is a big fan of Mr. Martorano's restaurant at the Hard Rock and wanted to try this location. It's a bit more intimate, so reservations are a must, especially on the weekend. Get there on time, but be prepared if people aren't giving up their tables quickly. The drinks were great, the food was fantastic, the service was excellent, the music and TV presentations were fun, and the owner was there to supervise everything in his own style. It was a great place for dinner with friends during a vacation, and I would not hesitate to recommend it!"
