After twelve years of establishing New River Pizza as the best place in Broward for a true New York-style pie, accomplished proprietor Randy Wilcox wasn’t satisfied to stand pat: He has expanded the concept, changed the name to New River Pizza & Grill, and transformed the restaurant into an exciting new dining destination.
Step one was to bring aboard Klime Kovaceski (klimekovaceski.com) as Executive Chef/Managing Partner. "I went with few friends to New River Pizza & Grill and truly loved it! The Chef Klime was phenomenal, the service, the wine (get the Malbec!). The food was very very delicious...I highly recommend this place to anyone, and already tweeted (and Facebook) about it to all my contacts. New River Pizza & Grill is a must for all Fort Lauderdale residents and visitors.
I felt at home, and could not have asked for a more attentive waiter; he was great. What was fantastic was that the Chef himself would come out several times to ask how we were doing, and all the guests in the house. It shows that the establishment really cares about pleasing their guests."

"Exceptional food, fresh, fresh, fresh high quality. We ordered a pizza for the table as an appetizer then pasta dishes to share. Chicken parm is as good as you will get ANYWHERE! Garlic rolls are hand made knotted type and addictive; soup is homemade and outstanding..Several wines by the glass to choose from. This locally owned restaurant with very friendly service is a great find and a real pleasant surprise! Enjoy, you will be glad you tried it!"

"Time after time an exceptional experience. Great fresh pasta dishes that jump off the plate!! Want something really different for dessert try the zepolis which is like a plate of really fresh hot just made Italian doughnuts covered with cinnamon sugar; they are a great way for finish your meal (MMMM)!"

"Restaurant is located on a busy corner of Route 1 and though they have done a decent job with the build out, it has NO view other than traffic which is a bitoff-putting.
That being said, service and waitstaff were excellent and food was more than competent!"

"This was a great unexpected find on our vacation. We were just hoping for a quick pizza and a drink, but found a nice little gem of a restaurant with white topped tables and excellent pizza. They also have a full italian menu which isn't obvious from their ad on Open Table as well as very nice salads."

"Great place. Service was very attentive, both professional and personable. It was great to have the chef come out and say hi. My group of 7 enjoyed watching the pizza dough being spun. Everyone raved about the pasta dishes. Glasses never got below half. If I were to offer one correction comment is that the pizzas needed just a minute or two longer in the oven. Overall, great experience- the desserts were amazing. Give it a try....we will definitely go back."

"New River Pizza and Grill has attentive service and delicious food at a very reasonable price. The menu is so extensive. We are vegatarians and found so many different choices. We have been there twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. There is a very upbeat, friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is also spacious and comfortable - plenty of elbow room even when it is full. There is even lots of parking in the lot. Dining at New River Pizza and Grill is definitely a truly positive experience."

"A local pizza hangout has moved across the street and transformed into a trendy night scene.
This is not the old New River Pizza, although the pizza is the same. The menu has been expanded to include many of the old Italian standards as well as some creative new dishes.
Our table ordered Calimari, personal cheese pizze, a great salmon-over veggies dish and veal parm. It was all very good. The salads were fresh and provided with tasty dressings.
The food was great but the most outstanding feature was the service. We had a large party and our server was always at the table, pouring wine, talking with us, checking on food and running back and forth to the kitchen. I left a nice extra tip - soemthing I rarely do - it was well earned."
