"This was the second time to eat at Nik's. I was disappointed the first time, shortly after they opened, but decided togive them another try. Service was not good. We arrived before another table not far from ours (same waiter and same table size-2)They were served before us..we never received bread and had to ask. We were told it was just coming out of the oven (the other table had it a good 5 minutes earlier)...when he brought the bread it was stone cold. (When you mess up, just apologize and fix the problem. Don't make excuses.)The food is very sweet, including the bread and all dishes. We prefer a savory Italian taste. When we asked for our bill it took 15 min. waiting to pay afterwards . It is a very small restaurant to be so s"

"The service was so-so. The bread that comes out before the meal was soggy. My hubs had the spaghetti and he said it was okay. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was drowning in oil and way too much garlic. Let's just say I paid for eating that meal the entire night. Most likely, I will not visit Nik's again."

"i have tried Nik's twice and both times i left very disappointed. I wanted to like it because i wanted a good Italian resturant nearby but this isn't it. Here are my complaints: they can't seem to decide if they are a bar (big tvs) or a nice italian resturant, food is fair at best, waiters are overly casual wearing what they want with little or no smilling. my waiter constantly reach across the table in front of my friends while they were eating and the table was unubstructed on all sides. the opening to the kitchen is big and the view is distracting. the table next to me sent their food back and all the time i could see the faces and read the body language on the kitchen manager, waiters and cooks - wasn't pretty. Don't go!"

"This restaurant was recommended by OpenTable. Not impressed. I think somebody needs to do a better job curating which restaurants are recommended to users of this service. I drove way out of my way to go here based on OT's reviews and recommendation to eat a mediocre at best meal. 2 stars only because our waiter was OK most of the time. Dessert was fine."

"Overall I really like Nik's as the food was really good, the wine list was decent and while small had a good vibrant atmosphere. The one area it really needs to step up on is service. Now granted they are still new and it was their first Valentines night, but the lack of attention paid by the waitress was really bad. It was not the fact that everything was slow getting out to us, it was how many times we had to remind her what we had ordered. It took 30 minutes to get our bottle of wine, 40 before we even got bread, and then she forgot the salad until we reminded her only to get it a minute before the main coarse came out. I am willing to give break for being new and being a really busy night. The food was awesome!!"
