"Waiter was very nice and brought food in timely manner. Menu is great, with portions that allow one to finish without being stuffed. Good dessert menu too. No problem with parking--a big plus in Laguna Beach. Great restaurant to go to if your on your way out the canyon to a movie or any event.

"Not only was the food very good, but the waiter (Juan) was attentive and had a nice sense of humor without being over the top. The wine list is thin, but the Crema Chardonnay he suggested over the house was a good call. He noticed that my son quickly ate his short ribs (they were fork tender) and asked if he wanted something else. We had seen mac and cheese with bacon on the menu so he quicikly brought out an order to fill him up! It's a small, locals restaurant, no view, but excellent food and service and a relaxing ambience. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Laguna Beach. And it's right on the Sawdust Festival property so if you're there in the summer, this is a great place to stop for dinner after you visit the booths."

"Mark has reopened and the restaurant will be our local get together. FITZ Maurice, the artist, has so enjoyed the three visits (twice this weekend), with friends. The prices are superb, are servers Abel and Robert are terrific in their attention to our parties. Monday is local night at reduced prices and we will make that regularly."

"I had the Rib Eye Steak and Chorizo Mac and Cheese with several glasses of wine! The food was delicious and the wine list small and good. I have been a fan of Mark's in all its iterations, this is a great spot for good food at a great price. I think it would be considered a "small" plates menu. Bit this 6'1" 200 plus lb guy found the size of the meal more than enough, I passed on desert, but it looked great!"

"ReMark's is a great place with great food and service, portions are just the right size and the prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. It is a smaller place so reservations are a good idea. The owner was there and seems to really look after every apsect of the business and he treats everybody there like family. "We arrived early expecting to sit at the bar for a few yet the owner Mark met us at the door and when i mentioned we were early addressed us by name. It was a nice touch that only gave a glimpse of the evening. Mark came by the table a few times to check on us and to tell us stories of his life and career it was nice but not intrusive. The restaurant is small yet did not seem crowded. The noice level seemed a bit loud but that could be because the walls seem to be made of cinderblock and they reflected the sound. Overall i liked the place and we would be back."

"We went to ReMark's for dinner before attending the Laguna Playhouse. Abel, our waiter, was attentive and friendly and made suggestions for drink and food. The Pear Salad and Chicken Curry were amazing. The three of us shared about six plates and were pleasantly satisfied with everything! We will definitely go again!
Mark, the owner, came by and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay! Attention to detail was perfect!"

"ReMarks's is a great Laguna Beach restaurant. The food is excellent and very moderate considering the level of quality being served. They listen to the patrons as they will now be adding sorbet to their dessert menu...Yummy! Every time we've been there, the owner has been warm and always thanks every guest as they leave the restaurant. This has become one of new, favorite restaurants in the area."

"Mark DePalma has really hit this one out of the park. Not only is his food superb, but the serving sizes and prices, wine included, make ReMark's the kind of restaurant that my wife and I will return to often. The strip mall location is not particularly inviting, and is the ONLY somewhat negative factor, but that is a minor factor. Ample no-cost parking just outside the door is a definite plus for Laguna Beach diners. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED."

"This is our 2nd visit to ReMark's. Our 1st visit (about 3 weeks ago) was very good. Unfortunately, our 2nd visit was just OK. For our 2nd visit we invited another couple to join us as we raved about the restaurant. Our server (Able) was probably the problem. Our drink orders took about 10+ minutes at 6:30pm. It should take 10+ minutes if the restaurant was busy. It was about 1/3 full (not busy at all). Our friend ordered a Grey Goose Pear martini. It did not taste correct. Our other friend ordered Cajun Chicken, she got Curry Chicken. They were out of Chorizo Mac & Cheese. The waiter recommended Chorizo Fettuchini, we go just fettuchini. Our server came back and said it was a mistake and if we just wanted fettuchini."

"I really like the new menu and lower prices. The dishes were prepared beautifully. The wait staff were just the right amount of attentive. I don't know if they treat everyone so nicely but we were with someone they "know". Lucky for us!
We stopped going to the old "Marks" after having made a reservation we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes. They didn't even appologize. We left and never returned.
We are hopeful that this incarnation of Remarks skips the need for an attitude adjustment because we would love to become "regulars"!"

"Booked a table for 6 which included a jet-lagged 6 year old. We arrived 45 min early (not intentionally) and they were so accommodating and helpful, especially with our son. When the rest of our party arrived, the fabulous service continued. Extremely reasonable pricing, great atmosphere and really good food!!! Kudos to ReMarks. The owner was at the door greeting every guest. Makes for a nice evening!"

"We are so happy that Mark's has reopened as ReMark's in the same lovely space. It is one of our neighborhood favorites. The food is excellent, the ambiance is welcoming and the already low prices have been reduced. On half price Mondays everything on the menu is a steal. The service is especially friendly and Mark is a wonderful host."

"ReMarks was a pleasant surprise. Very nice menu of a variety of dishes that are well executed and portions that are reasonable. The pricing on their dishes is outstanding. This basically a bar atmosphere but the dishes are more bistro-esque. We went expecting a fine dining atmosphere and found ourselves in a much more casual environment which was a concern at first. But once the dishes came out we were very pleased. We had two appetizers green fried tomatoes and tuna tartare. Both were great. Our main course were chicken curry and salmon. Again both were very good."

"Celebrated Valentines, and meet another couple for Monday night special pricing last week. Feels like eating with friends, since Laguna locals fill the place. Pricing is excellent, and drinks are reasonable. We will go back. I recommend ordering a salad with dinner, well worth the price. Mark is a fun guy and his ReMark is a fun place...see you there."

"I can't find fault the quality of wait staff or the food and we have been several times now. Fried Green Tomatoes were great and the portion size is just perfect (as is the price). love the Fillet and short ribs. It's a great place to go to, and Mark makes it very personable, greets everybody, watches the tables, like an owner is supposed to do. It makes all the difference. We are going back this week with other friends who haven't been there for a while. Bar side is generally louder than the kitchen side IMHO."

"Excellent food and a romantic atmosphere. We tried the lobster bisque, the fried green tomatoes, the bacon mac and cheese and the tacos. The lobster bisque was creamy and delicious with a good amount of flavor and balance. The fried tomatoes were out of this world with the smoked chipotle sauce. The mac and cheese wasn’t memorable but had a fair amount of bacon and was ultra hot. The filet minion tacos were seriously the best thing we had. We finished our meal with the pumpkin bread pudding which was a nice finish to a stellar meal. A+"

"I am so glad to see Mark re-invent this place as ReMark"s. The menu is familiar from the original Mark's, but it has been downsized in portions, but they were fine. However, they also downsized the pricing! When does that ever happen? The really good thing is the food quality and taste is just as good as it ever was, and that's great!
Service was very fast and friendly. We were quite happy and left very satisfied. We will be back."

"My wife and I were looking for a new place to try. We were pleasantly surprised to find ReMark's on OpenTable. The plate sizes are smaller than normal, but so so are the prices. The owner Mark stopped by each table greeting everyone. We had dinner and a bottle of wine and spent less than $100. Looking forward to going back."
