"Our table of four had a lovely lunch experience at The Oxford Exchange. We were able to have wonderful conversation surrounded by the low buzz of other dynamic diners. Kale chips appetizer, fantastic steak sandwich and their sweet potato fries were the best/crispest I've ever had. Loved the fun menu of teas hot/cold too. It is a relaxing, urban chic environment. When we finished lunching we stepped into their home shoppe to peruse, then into the lovely bookstore where I bought two Caldecott prize winning books for our children. Lovely afternoon with my ladies who lunch."

"Was in Tampa visiting our daughter who took us here for brunch. A cool, trendy pace with a great vibe. Had a hard time deciding whether to eat breakfast or lunch, there were so many great things on the menu. Decided to go with breakfast and it was awesome. Fresh, different and just plain good. I had the salmon bagel and fruit parfeit. We liked it so much we went back a couple of days later to have lunch. This trip I had the yummy lobster BLT with the most delicious sweet potato fries. Looking forward to our next visit so we can try more things on the menu."

"What a fabulous job the Casper family did! I only wish Tampa would step up and do more of the same thing all over town. Atlanta has done a wonderful job of renewal in industrial areas (West End) and we have such a rich history here,it's a shame we don't do more of the same thing! Great food/service/ambience, and in such a cool environment, and I'm 53!! It was so nice to go to such a unique place; our server was outstanding."

"My teenage daughter and a group of her friends celebrated a birthday by having afternoon tea at the Oxford Exchange. They had a wonderful time and loved the food, especially the scones. My daughter commented that it is as if someone took a piece of New York City and relocated it to Tampa. I gave the service only three stars because it took the server about half an hour to get them their tea - not just the beverage but the accompanying food."

"Beautiful decor, fun shopping and ambiance undeniable. Food could be touched up a notch but coffee and real maple syrup with pancakes worth the trip. Gaspacho woud not reorder, salads ordinary, teas and as I said, coffees are best in Tampa - far better than Starbucks and the Barista's know what they are doing."

"O really the place is pretty good. There menu is some what limited but the food is fresh and the glaciers are good. The service is awful. Takes forever to get your first drink and the waiters don't check on you often. I kept having to flag my waitress down. I've been there twice and the first time we had two waiters fighting over who got the table in front of us. If you expect poor service, the food makes up for it and the overall vibe of the place."

"The food at Oxford is excellent. Simple and fresh are the two words that come to mind. The coffees and teas are from Buddy Brew and Tebella which are very good in their own right. i've been a number of times and the key element to Oxford Exchange is the ambiance and the company with you. The atmosphere invites great discussion and every time I've been with a group it's been an amazing experience. Go with friends and invite people you would like to become new friends. You'll never want to leave.
One thing that is worth noting they offer lunch/brunch mainly. I've heard they also have "afternoon tea". I wish they offered a dinner service. I'd definitely try it."

"Food is good but needs some improvement. The selection is a little small with similar items. Our server was slow and made lunch too long. That seems to be standard. Friendly atmosphere. Fair prices but not enough entrees. Some items priced high, particularly for lunch. We have been a few times, and will go more with improvement"

"If you get the chance to eat here for lunch, you must get a table in the sun room. It's beautiful with tons of natural sunlight spilling in from all sides. One thing to mention, though, is that the room will get quite loud if it's filled with people. Plus, the waterfall doesn't help. However, other than that, the lunch menu is wonderful! I had the grilled cheese sandwich and my friend had the burger. You must get an iced tea (or hot, if you prefer) from the extensive tea list. It's the perfect place to bring friends or colleagues for a nice business lunch."

"I have been to Oxford Exchange several times and decided to make reservations for Mother's Day. Our table was ready on time, we were greeted with a complimentary Mimosa and the service and food were wonderful!! The other 5 people in my party had never been before and they all loved it. We spent time in the gift shop and book store afterwards, it was a wonderful brunch."

"Even though I'm not a mother, I really wanted to take my mom out for lunch, and sadly, she didn't want to go! So I went by myself. The staff made me feel like I was royalty, the food was to die for (I had the Halibut), the Tea was Amazing, and there was definitely a nice buzz throughout the whole place! Now my mom is jealous, so I'll take her to the Oxford Exchange for her Birthday. Everything about this restaurant is fabulous, including the price! This is my new favorite place to have some awesome and fresh food in a gorgeous atmosphere."

"Great ambience, beautiful architechtural detail & a good former visit seemed to add up to the perfect Mother's Day experience. Although the space is unique, inviting, clean & full of character the traditional tea which was offered, failed to impress. While the hot tea itself was delicious, the food for the tea was neither traditional or tasty. The sandwiches were bland & served on toasted bread. The scones were very dry and flavorless, served with clotted cream which did not have good texture or flavor. Most of the table liked the tiny banana creme brulee dessert served, but the others were not appealing. The concensus of the table was that although the beverages were good, the food was not. For the price paid, it was very disappointing."

"Loved the decor, the service was great, the menu is limited and needs some additional choices. I ordered the Club, the cheese was to thick and it needed a special pesto/mayo. It wasn't great. I will try something else on my next visit. T-Dog"

"The food was decent though appeared overpriced; and 3 small pieces of fruit do not constitute a fruit addition to a meal. Very noisy and difficult to have any conversation. Minimal parking available; if one is going to this place the earlier the better to find parking. The host/hostess at the front left much to be desired--we were ignored initially and there were no other customers--extremely discourteous. The service was very good with a very attentive waitress."

"Food here is great but the place gets crowded quickly and it seems challenged to deal with handling the volume. Our food took longer than expected and the din of the place makes it nigh-impossible to have a conversation or a pleasant wait on food."

"Maybe our expectations were too high. This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend, but we found it to be very average. The water is served in small cups (expresso sized) and the carafes have no ice in them so the water is not cold. My husband ordered a medium rare burger that came out well done. The service was fine, but the food was very average. They charge for every little thing."

"I went to Oxford Exchange for the first time and I decided to meet my girlfriend there during my lunch break from work. In regards to the decor, the atmosphere of the entire establishment, the food, and the infamous coffee, it was impeccable and absolutely amazing, however, the service was horrendous. We waited for 20 minuted before my girlfriend had to go to the hostess and informed them that we haven't been seen. After that, we waited an additional ten minutes and I had to grab someone and ask them if they could serve us because we had been waiting so long. The guy looks at me and say, "Ya that's what I'm doing right now. What do you want?" Luckily, our experience after that was ok, but if it wasn't for the food, I wouldn't go back"

"Stopped by for lunch for the 1st time. Food was great, but the service was not. Once our food was received we were forgotten. The server took 15 mins just to get our check back to us after handing him my credit card. Lobster BLT was perfect though... Outside seating is nice just sit in an area with shade, the roof acts like a greenhouse."

"This is our third time at the OE, we have had tea and sancks so we decided to go back for lunch. My husband's burger was great, my salmon nicoise salad was good but our starter of pretzel bread was very bad. To begin it looks a bit gross. The pretzel tasted unproofed, like bread that did not have enough time for the yeast to bloom. It was $10 for three small rolls. Most restaurants throw out what we paid for, we were very disappointed. I am said because i really enjoyed going there. With such a limited menu everything should be excellent."

"The Oxford Exchange was chosen as a convenient location to meet for lunch . . . We knew nothing about the restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised!! Our meals were outstanding, the server and all support staff were cordial and prompt with all requests. When finished with our meal, we thoroughly enjoyed strolling thru the building and admired the variety of items for sale We LOVED the ambiance, particularly in the bookstore. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience1"

"My food rating wasn't really fair to Oxford Exchange because I think I just ordered something from the menu that I personally did not like and should have sent it back and had them fix it. The hummus wrap just has TOO MUCH HUMMUS! It is prepared similar to bean burrito and had to dig the hummus out as I was eating it. Anything more then a smear of hummus, for me, upsets my stomach and it way too much. Also, my sister thought she was ordering a salad and ended up with a flatbread item. It was not a good day for ordering for us, but could have sent items back, but felt bad in doing so. Therefore, I left unsatisfied with the dining experience. Coffee was delicious!"

"I love the OE. Have dinned there 5 times now the only thing I think needs work is sound proofing. It is always so loud at times to a point one can't hear the conversation at the table Not side how it could be accomplished without hurting the atmosphere but maybe someone could think of a solution"

"I recently went to Oxford Exchange for tea with a party of 4. The building is beautiful, they did a great job remodeling it! The food was wonderful and the tea was great too. Only suggestion I would make is to have hot plates for the pots of tea so they do not get cold if you don't drink them right away and for the servers to ask if you would like to have sugar crystals with the tea. Wonderful atmosphere just wish it was open for dinner!"

"The ambiance from the moment you walk in the door takes you back to another world. Wether you enter through the Old/New World Book Store or the One of Kind Gift Shop you'll be taken to a place somewhere in Europe. The architecture, design, stimulating smells and warm welcome are a few of the things you'll take in as you exhale and relax. The staff all around was courteous, professional and genuinely polite. Ones pallet will sure to be rejoicing with Chefs Guggino's take on American Cuisine, a delightful journey which is one I look forward to taking again. The final touch with your check inside a vintage book as you conclude your dining experience makes Oxford Exchange my new favorite destination for all types of occasions. Cheers!"

"We took our team here for lunch, and the food was very good. It was a little difficult to carry on steady conversation due to the noise level; but our service and food made up for it. The place was very busy; and unless you want to wait, you need a reservation for lunch! DEFINITELY give their coffees and teas a try! I had their salted caramel latte tea, and it was a delicious dessert substitute!"

"I really like Oxford Exchange, and it's a wonderful space with lots of beautiful decor. The food is excellent too, and I really liked my chicken burger. The only downside to the visit this time was the waiter was only so-so. He was slow to service our table and to get us our bill. Also, we asked him a couple of times about the Mother's Day brunch menu, but he didn't seem to know it. The second time we asked him, he just walked away, which was kind of rude. Otherwise, we are big fans of Oxford Exchange. I am impressed that the Caspers family has taken on this initiative. Blake Casper and Allison Adams are the bomb!"

"On my second visit, I took three friends who had not been to OE before. They loved the character of the building, and we checked out the nooks and crannies. Love what owners have taken such care in the details and what they've done to preserve a Tampa treasure.
We had a reservation and were seated on the second in a comfy booth. The booth did buffer some of the noise, but there can't be a really quiet conversation. We did, however, have a really great lunch--all had tea (yummy) and sandwich (lobster BLT IS great).
We enjoyed the experience and the food. Can't wait until our kids come back to town so we can show them the OE."

"Being housed in an architectural masterpiece is a plus, but add coffee, tea, comfortable seating, a bookstore, fresh food and well, you feel like you never want to leave. Despite the popularity, the staff is warm and the atmosphere inviting, as if to say "you are the only one that matters right now" and "stay all day if you like." Oxford Exchange's homelike quality is the main ingredient in the food, service, and ambience. I had an incredible chopped spinach salad for lunch. Salty black olives balanced the hint of sweetness in the dressing. And I had a tea, over ice (you can get it hot if you prefer) ...Ti Kuan Yin Goddess of Mercy Oolong Tea. All the senses are engaged here. You will walk away happier than when you arrived. Promise!"

"I had heard nothing but good things about this place. So I expected amazing things.
The food did not disappoint. I had the chicken burger with fries. The bun was perfectly toasted, the jalapeno added just the right amount of heat, and the avocado balanced it all out. The fries were a little salty, but the perfect crispness. The service was a bit lacking in my opinion though. Without ever being there, the hostess stand is not clearly marked. When I arrived and stated my reservation, I was taken to the table by a young lady who seemed inconvenienced by having to do so.
Our server was pleasant, but inattentive and slow at best. I definitely enjoyed the food, but not compelled to go back."

"Still excited to have a place as special and unique open in Tampa. It is visually stunning, fresh and bright with the beautiful glass atrium and a fun experience thanks to the treasure-filled bookstore and shop attached. Hate to say "it doesn't feel like Tampa." I prefer to think that this is what Tampa is becoming. Loved the chicken burger and blue cheese cole-slaw."
