"Unlike many restaurants on or near the coast with a nice view, this one has great food and service. Don't miss it! Definitely have dessert too--the berry cobbler was great."

"Dined at Bistro while staying at Cannery last year. Great time, then! Made reservation, days in advance. Looking forward to dining. On arrival told we had to wait until server got caught up, because had two large groups being served. Could have told us when reserv. made. No suggesting we have a drink while waiting.. Another server asked if we had been helped, hostess suddenly could seat us after all. Downstairs full with big event , upstairs, we were place at a table next to rail, near stairs and kitchen area behind display so only part view. Takes awhile to get order for mineral water, served in child's mug. Guess they ran out of glassware. Appetizer cold, dinner served not what described. Too much for staff, food, dishes, depleted?"

"I'm not sure why they accept reservations if they seat people without them ahead of those with reservations. We had a reservation at 7 and were told we would be seated once a table opened up. Didn't take too long, so we enjoyed a drink at the bar. The restaurant is well renovated. The staff was friendly, but somewhat inattentive. There was a family reunion sectioning off half of the floor space that was apparently a top priority for the establishment - I find it odd that one group would feel comfortable making speeches to an entire restaurant when only half of those seated were a part of their group. The food was equivalent to that which you might find at a Ruby Tuesday's or Applebee's. All in all, not terrible. Not great either."

"We enjoyed lunch and both the waiter and the maitre 'd asked about and confirmed that our specified sensitivities would be avoided. Our meal was very tasty, with the Hungarian mushroom soup very pleasing to the palate. The kitchen was kind enough to split a Mayan salad for us, and the resulting two plates were generous in portion and very good. The salmon was done very nicely, although perhaps somewhat unimaginative as there was no "wow" factor (however, in fairness, the menu did not play it up to be something different, either). We saved room for dessert and enjoyed the Chocolate "bete noir" and lemon-white chocolate fudge brownie sundae. The setting is very pleasant with a view of the bridge and the Columbia river. But, why the skeleton?"

"I was expecting Bridgewater to be stiff, formal nd overpriced, plus a place that required dressing up, something we Oregonians know little about. T as warm, friendly, with great service and food worth goingg back for. So we spent our two nights there doing just that. Also loved the ambience. As fish lovers, we will be back! Also the price was right! I didn't expect such a lovely, high quality establishment. I'd like o go back for lunch sometime and sample the fish and chips. Can't wait!"

"If you are heading to Astoria you simply must stop by Bridgewater Bistro for one of your meals. Great view, lovely ambiance and oh what food. If you're like us and really enjoy small plates to share this is the place for you. We will be back and back and back time and time again."

"Hard to beat the huge windows on the river that affords views for all. Lounge area by a fireplace was inviting. Ravioli was not homemade but my sauteed oysters were tasty and there were nice wines by the glass."

"We had the sole special & it was so over!!! cooked to be unedible. Owner & waitress tried very hard, but the cooking is highly overrated. We will never come there again. It was recommended by a local, but i will set her straight............."
