If it ain't New Orleans, then we ain't got it!
Authentic creole comfort food and a few of Chef Ignatius' very own creations.
A New Orleans traditional atmosphere. You'll feel like this place has been around since the 1800's because it has (the building anyway)
Located in the Fabulous Garden District of New Orleans on the most vibrant section of Famous Magazine Street between 8th and 9th street
"I had lunch at Ignatius after searching for an open table for Sunday brunch. Staff was great, and I didn't actually need to reservation I made. A creative brunch menu, and patrons generally seemed happy. Service was exemplary. I wish I'd ordered something else (besides the Jambalaya Omelet), but it was OK and you might really like it. I'd go back and just think harder about my menu choice."

"There are so many great places to eat in New Orleans. Although the shrimp and grits were tasty, the fish was just ok. In another city this place would be very good, but in a city for foodies it was just ok."

"We like this restaurant and have eaten dinner there several time. Food is good and price is reasonable. Location on Magazine Street is nice. The location is good for a large group."

"Hit the mark with flavors! Gumbo, red beans&rice, crawfish étouffée were best we've had. Tasty sausage flavor makes the difference. Serving sizes were just right. Zachery provided good service, had good advice on drinks too: we enjoyed "Sunset on the levee" cocktail. "french75" wasn't as good. Place is quite casual. Of all the places we've visited for local food, I'd put this in the top three. And prices were reasonable. It didn't feel touristy. There were tables on the sidewalk but we chose to eat inside. Although I listed noise as "energetic," it wasn't uncomfortably loud even when quite full. Interesting decor, old building with high ceilings."

"Due to St Patricks day the maitre'd said they weren't taking reservations, so the Open Table reservation was invalid. There was room for our party so it wasn't a big deal."

"Good food, decent price. Abbreviated menu for St. Patrick parade. I loved all the religious candles on the wall (behind me). NOTE: It would have been quiet if the pre- St. Patrick revelers had not blasted music from balconies across street."

"Just what you would expect from this type of restaurant. Good, not outstanding, food served in a friendly, if a bit informal, manner. Nice place to bring visitors to get local cuisine at reasonable prices."

"There isn't anything spectacular about Ignatius. However, it does offer traditional New Orleans cuisine at a price that is much much lower than most of the nice restaurants in New Orleans."
