Silo.5% is the new wine bar for the oenophiles of Baltimore and is the second location of the .5% brand which began in 2009 in Hampden with 13.5% Wine Bar. We have designed a modern cozy lounge that complements our 30 plus wines by the glass, 200-bottle wall of wine, seasonal cocktails and craft beers. Savor our locally sourced cuisine of small plates, gourmet pizzas, and seasonal entrees; while enjoying the panoramic harbor vista from our main floor, mezzanine or bluestone patio.
"One of the best places in Baltimore for a great relaxing evening."

"Silo is a 'go-to' place in Baltimore. Feels like you're in a very different city -- great escape. Cocktails, food, service (Nicki), wine and desserts were terrific!"

"We used to come here all the time and the food was interesting and very good. Something has happened, and not for the good. We ordered the avocado dish and for $9 what we got was half an avocado filled with salsa and stale chips on the side. Further, the mac & cheese was a small dish and had literally no taste. We also ordered a salad which had very few and small pieces of crumbled blue cheese. Had one glass of wine and the total bill was $38. That price would be acceptable if the food was good, but it wasn't. We were the only diners in the restaurant at the time and the order took over 20 minutes to bring to the table. All of this looks like a place that is on the downside."

"The only problem with Silo .5% Wine Bar is the acoustics. Because there are so many hard surfaces (glass, cement, tile, metal) and high ceilings the noise level was so high our waitress and ourselves had to shout at each other to be heard. I wish all of the new restaurants would add had some softer touches like table cloths, carpets/area rugs and lower ceilings to give the places warmer ambience and then we wouldn't have to yell at each other while having a conversation."

"It's a Wine bar, not a restaurant. The one good thing they took off the menu :( My friend had the duck, but for $30 at a wine bar...I think I'll pass. The service was great, but I'll stick to coming back just for WINE."

"WE had a terrific time, our waitress was especially a positive part of the evening, sorry can't remember her name. We sat upstairs with the great view, only issue was something is wrong with the ventilation system as three in our party were having trouble with their eyes. the waitress did not try to hide the fact that it was an issue they were working on, and I wouldn't let that keep me away from a return visit. This restaurant deserves support though it seems out of the main stream because of location."

"Food is always interesting and well prepared. Our server was pleasant and attentive, but not really trained properly. Place settings were incorrectly positioned. She tried to remove plates, glasses before BOTH diners were finished. Small things, but just a little training or her own dining experience at a good restaurant could correct."

"Given the reviews I expected more from this restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere contemporary and hip with lively music. Great drinks. But the food was mediocre at best. The rockfish special was tasty but the piece of fish was small and the only accompanyment was a big pile of sliced raw onions (what was that about?). The cheese pizza was boring--the sauce tasted almost like tomato paste out of the can--and I've made much better fried green tomatoes at home. I hoped the dessert might redeem the kitchen (how bad can a flourless chocolate cake be?) but even that fell flat--crusty and dry, the dab of hot fudge hardened to a thick mass on the ice cream. The chef is trying but clearly has a long way to go...."

"It's a place I would like to like more. But there's just something about it. Great facility. Very stylish, easy parking, great for conversation. It can be uncomfortably cold, possibly due to ultra high ceiling and glass walls to the outside."

"Took my fiance there for dinner on Valentine's Day. Our 1st time there. Nice ambiance, excellent wines, food was definitely unique and interesting. Service however was a little slow, but our waiter was still very pleasant and professional. We'll probably visit there again."

"Wonderful food, people and ambiance. A really great find! View is breathtaking. Architecture and decorating are both top notch. Service is attentive without being overbearing. Amazing wine and top shelf whiskey. Fried green tomatoes are a must have, toasted pecans and feta vinigarette went hand in hand. Steak Tartare was bright and delicious. Have had the fish of the day on two different occasions, both times it seems like the fish was just caught-- that fresh!!! Overall, a wonderful expierence. Cant wait to return :-)"

"The location was cold. There was not enough seating as a whole section was reserved but never filled. The food was bland and tasteless. I would not recommend this location to anyone. The other restaurant 13.5% is much much better than this location."

"The food and service were very good along with the scene. However, I had made a reservation for Restaurant Week and when we arrived we were seated at the entrance right next to the door on a very frigid night. My friend who I was with asked for a different table and she was told there were not anymore available so we could either sit there or a smaller table next to us but had wooden chairs. About 10 minutes later another couple who didn't have reservations sat at the table next to us and then asked their server (a different one from ours) if they could have another table because they were cold. This other couple was moved and given another table when we were told there was no other seating?"
