"What an enjoyable experience. Staff was very good and the food was wonderful. We didn't know what to expect but everything was more than we hoped for. Everyone should try this amazing food!"

"Mazzat serves very authentic Lebanese food at reasonable prices. The staff are helpful when you are unsure what to order. We had the special of five choices for three of us, it was too much food but it was so delicious we were more than happy to take it home for the next day, next time we would order for two. Outstanding babaganoush, moussaka (not the Greek kind), hummus that you wish your mama could make. The only low point was the .... Is it kebbeh?.... The sort of meatballs but made with vegetables, just not as tasty as the other dishes. But the tabbouleh was heavenly. It's a family place both for the diners and the owners. I would definitely go again with a couple or more friends as it is the sort of place to share the food."

"Just a bit off the beaten track, this little storefront offers a pleasant experiance. The staff is cordial, the menu interesting, the food generally tasty. The hummus was excellent, but the eggplant dish seemed not as fresh as is should be, and the falafel lacked the expected crispy exterior."

"We chose the restaurant from open Table and were very pleasantly surprised. We had never had Lebanese food and didn't know what to expect. It was wonderful! Fabulous food and great service. We will return."

"I've lost count of how many times we have visited Mazzat, either as a couple or with a few friends, but this was our first time with a large party of 7. They did an amazing job! Treated us like old friends (I guess we visit often enough they recognize us), food was fantastic (try the Ouzi), service was stellar. Well done, I dare say we will be back!"

"Delicious Lebanese food, beautifully presented, at a fair price. The last time I had Lebanese food this good was at my wife's grandmother's house (Yes,she was Lebanese)."

"We had a lovely meal before the Ballet. The service was very helpful - both the staff who came to our table. Enjoyed both a different taste and a different wine. Quite easy to get to for a night at the Ballet, Opera or Symphony."

"Finally, San Francisco now has an authentic Lebanese restaurant. The shared plates were mouth watering delicious. Each bite exploded in your mouth with tingling spices. Alas, the Knafeh dessert was a big disappointment after having such an unforgettable meal. Just one bite of the dessert made us wonder if we were still in the same restaurant where we just had such a delightful Lebanese cuisine. We would go back again and try the other main courses, but will definitely SKIP dessert."

"Enjoyed this restaurant very much -- the food was delicious and the server was great. I was catching up with 5 girlfriends over dinner and it was a great place to catch up. Not too loud, lots of yummy food to share, good wine. Only downside: it's terrible to park in the neighborhood..."

"Great casual addition to the Hayes Valley dining scene. We ate here before a recent symphony concert and were delighted with the tasty selection of small dishes. Can recommend the humus with tiny cubes of beef on top, the green beans, and the slices of grilled haloumi cheese. We also tried the chicken and artichoke pita pizza, good too. Baklava was acceptable, but not the best rendition we've had. Will definitely go back to sample some other dishes."

"Delicious and authentic food. When I asked our friendly server which spices differentiated Lebanese food he told me that he doesn't even know their names in English and that many come directly from Lebanon. I have heard their Lebanese wines are quite good, too. But we enjoyed Lebanese mint tea instead and it was fragrant and so satisfying,"

"Very cute restaurant, always love the food. The owners are adorable! Always plenty of food to go around, large portions. This is a great place for a date night, I love ordering the Mazzat Platter which gives you lots of plates to try."

"The food was great and the service was very helpful. The waitress made lots of suggestions about food pairings and was there to answer any questions we had. The hummus was a standout.
Highly recommended."

"I chose to make a reservation at Mazzat purely because of its location and the handful of favorable reviews on Opentable. The food was plentiful and delicious. Four friends came along and we all look forward to returning very soon!"

"This was a find in the Theater district. The five of us came here before a ballet showing and had a great time. We ordered lots of small plates to share and were delighted. Fantastic eggplant notes throughout. Loved the taboule and the eggplant dish in the hot mezze starting with an M :-). Pizza is yummy and good to share. We enjoyed the desserts and the coffee nicely presented in the traditional serving wear. The ambiance was very nice and we were seated by a soothing waterfall. Highly recomend."

"Very nice, small, neighborhood place. Since I am not familiar with Lebanese food, I was unsure of what the food would taste like. The food, however, was interesting and I plan on going back to try something different."

"This is one of those places I drive by all the time and was lured in by the beautiful lights around the main entrance. I'm so glad I had dinner here, because it was a wonderful experience - excellent food, amazing service, and great ambiance. In a time when soooo many servers make you feel like they're doing YOU a favor, the service by Adam and his team at Mazzat was above and beyond. And, the food was simply perfect. Go for the Mazzat platter, where you get to pick 3 hot dishes and 3 cold dishes. The portions were perfect, and our hot tea mugs were never empty. Run, don't walk to Mazzat!!!"
