"My date and I went on a Thursday night, driving up from Orange County. Neither of us had been there before and we went based on reviews I saw online. We had a truly enjoyable experience. The food was great, and we enjoyed both our pizza and the shrimp scampi. Our waiter Kale, was very diligent without being intrusive. The piano bar and singing by waiters created a entertaining environment. I would recommend Miceli's to anyone who wants great food and a great experience."

"Food was poor--my veal was burnt and when I complained, the waiter mumbled something and disappeared, never to return until much later without any resolution. It is a very old restaurant that has lost its charm..."

"Wanted to take my father to a special place for his birthday dinner. Miceli's fit the bill and did not disappoint. Service and food were excellent as always, but ambiance was the real treat. Live piano playing and the waiters all taking turns singing standards made it a beautiful experience."

"We love this place! we have gone there after dance class in our tennis shoes and sweats and have taken my mother for mothers day all dolled up. The pizza is the best I have had! The pasta is perfectly al dente' and the sauces are amazing! Traditional italian all the way. The only thing that is missing now is Charlie. He will be dearly missed. The best host ever!"

"Such an adorable place and nice atmosphere with live music, but the food was sub-par at best. Pasta was overcooked, chicken bland, veggies not very fresh, and lasagna only fair. Seemed like low quality ingredients, sad to say we won't be back unless we hear of a big improvement in food quality."

"Very good food and plenty of it. Generous portions. Very, very lively atmosphere. Almost impossible to carry on conversation. But that gets made up for with the non-stop entertainment. Singing waiters and waitresses who are worthy of the Broadway stage."

"Food was amazing...pizza was beyond great (and I'm Italian so I'm very picky!) As soon as they knew it was my birthday the waiter sang for me and invited me for a dance! It was awesome! They also served me a bowl of icecream with a candle and they sang me happy birthday! I would recommend this plane to everyone. We were happy and the place is also wallet-friendly ;)"

""The oldest Italian restaurant in town", so they say. I don't care how old the place is, I just want good food. Pizza was soggy and I wonder if it even was made in a brick oven. Spaghetti that could have come off the shelf at Ralph's with tasteless meatballs. Linguine with clams - the clams weren't even in the shell, so they obviously were canned clams. Who has ever gone to an Italian restaurant where the clams were not in the shell? Maybe they should have specified that in the menu.
It's pretty sad when the best part of the meal was the energetic piano player. Service is fair. The location is seedy. We will not be back no matter how long this place remarkably manages to stay in business."

"The Steamed mussels were great! The seafood cacciatore was good but the scallops were too salty, so was a bit disappointing. I enjoyed the ceasar salad. I asked for olive oil & vinegrette for my bread - it never came, the follow up service on water & wine could've been better."

"I absolutely loved it here. The food was so good. The waiter was so good we didn't have to look around for him he was very attentive. Theyhad someone playing the piano and singing and he was good. Our group took part in being his back up singers, and joined in the fun. The only thing was the parking. The parking attendant charges a $10 deposit and said if we get our ticket validated and come back within 2 hours we will get $6 back, sounded like a deal. However, while the entrance to the parking lot was close he had me to park at the back of the lot which was basically the end of the block, and we had a little trouble with him keeping his word on the return deposit. But, I recommend it. I had the Cesar salad and chicken parmesan."

"We had a birthday party with 18 here this past weekend, and although we were near the pianos and it was loud, it all added to the ambiance! We had a perfect time. The food was fast and delicious, and the service was fun and friendly."

"I loved going to Miceli's this past weekend! I really enjoyed the piano player and the food was delicious! Very good garlic toast! It was my boyfriend's birthday and I requested a birthday thing. I included in my comment section that I wanted it to be embarrassing and the servers went out of their way to do so! It was awesome! Everyone that works there was very polite and accommodating. Overall, my experience at Miceli's was wonderful!"

"Can't hate on the place because it is a part of Hollywood history, but the place needs to be torn down. It's old, dingy and our food was pretty awful. It would have been much better if the service and/or the ambiance made up for it, but it didn't. Someone needs to breathe some new life into the place. Or tear it down and make room for something new."

"I saw that Miceli's in Hollywood has been in business since 1949. In my opinion, the way it's being run today shows how they made it for that long, surviving many a changing era. It's clean, it's pleasant, the service was great, and the food was really good. My wife and I had a very nice experience. We're older (late 50s), but I think it would appeal to younger couples, too---definitely."

"Waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Seemed he was more interested in singing with the piano player then waiting on his tables. Recommend sitting a ways away from the piano, it is pretty loud for those sitting on the bar level."

"Il ristorante è una bella signora italiana in un mare di stelle.
I found Miceli's to be a very charming Italian Restaurant. The ambiance was a wonderful feature, but the food and service was even better. The singing staff started later than we could stay, but I am sure that we will be back."

"I love this place, but that night our server was cordial with a smile but was very inattentive which was unusual for there. She told me there wasn't any Splenda but the table next to me gave me their's. We asked for more rolls & we thought we would receive the same size rolls but instead receive three small rolls the size of golf balls.
By far out of my 45 years of going to this wonderful Restraunt this was the worst service I have had there!"

"I was told to try this restaurant by a friend while I was visiting the area. I had a reservation and still had to wait 15-20 mins longer. We had to wait another 15-20 mins to get our drinks. We were told the wait staff sings...we never heard a single wait staff sing anything. On top of that our old man waiter didn't even have a voice, he must have had larengitis(I really think he just had a very raspy low voice) and we couldn't hear him over the loud noise of people talking in there. We ordered pizza...Big Mistake...the pizza crust was like cardboard and the pizza was completely tasteless. We sent it back. I did have a ceasar salad as well and the ceasar dressing was really good. I won't be back tho...doesn't live up to the hype."
