"Overall it's a very good. You can tell that it previously was a fast food place but the food was wonderfully. The quality of the sushi was outstanding."

"The service was very good and the staff knowledgeable and very competent. The sushi was okay; nothing to rave about. The presentation was just there and nothing that really highlighted the talents of a sushi chef. I think over time this place has the ability to provide the area with a high-quality sushi experience."

"Dined over lunch on another rainy Sunday in Minnesota. But our moods brightened upon presentation of the excellent Tuna/Mango Sushi, washed with excellent Saki. We've also dined at the Wayzata location - which is nice given the waterfront location, but upon finding it's sister here on Cleveland in St. Paul, we feel we've found a friend. If you like Sushi, this is the best place for it given our experience."

"The food took a little while to arrive, but that's to be expected at a sushi place on the weekend. And it was worth the wait. Food was very good and I've already recommended it to 2 places"

"First time to Sakana, was a little nervous at first because it is in a reclaimed KFC building. There was no need to worry. Food was delicious, service was incredible and it just looks so nice in there."

"I had been here for lunch and brought the whole family. It was very good, but I think one gets a better deal with the lunch menu. I will be back for lunch for sure as the food is excellent. I'm not sure why they offer certain selections only for lunch and not for dinner."

"My wife and I love sushi and are regulars at Fuji Ya, Origami and Sakura to name our top choices. We decided to risk it on Valentine's Day and we're glad we did. The wine list was not extensive, but had a good range and nice choices with good names, not cheap wine you'd expect from a KFC-turned-sushi joint. The sushi was excellent, unique rolls and traditional ones, good fish portions not too much rice. Nigiri was also very good. Shrimp and veggie tempura app was less exciting, shrimp were great, veggies less so -but we didn't come for that anyway. The redesigned interior was great, excellent use of the space and tasteful decorating. Our waitress and hostess were very nice, a mix of Asian and American staff. Go check it out!"
