"My Chicken Parmesan was dry and over cooked. The Alfredo sauce on the spaghetti was separated. I've had better Italian food at the Olive Garden---- not really bad, just not great. The waitress was nice but the service was slow. Out food sat under the lamp for a while."

"Even though two (2) of our party of four arrived more than 30 minutes late, we were welcomed and seated promptly. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. Our appetitizers and entrees were nicely presented and very tasty. We were able to carry on our conversation leisurely and never felt as though we were being rushed. We would definitely visit Spazzo's again for lunch, dinner or a late evening appetizer and/or dessert and a drink, and highly recommend Spazzo's."

"We ordered the antipasto platter which was just OK. It was more like something out of a kid-friendly home refrigerator than what we expected - bland meats, cheeses; the best thing was the pile of roasted garlic which we put on the not-special bread. Our entrees: Husband had linguine with clams. You expect a light sauce of garlic, olive oil, white wine and parsley mingling with the juices from the clams. Not so - the pasta was almost dry with just clams - no flavor to be found. Speaking of dry pasta - my entrée was pasta primavera. It was just that - pasta, and vegetables. It was totally dry; no sauce, no flavor at all! We were really disappointed - worst restaurant food in ages. Expected more of Spazzo! Maybe the saucier was absent that day"

"The only negative about this restaurant is that they apparently did not officially tell Open Table that we honored our reservation; we had to clear that up. Other than that, it was excellent. Our server was outstanding, the food was delicious, and it is a very attractive place."

"Nothing particularly special about this establishment; delivers on the expectations one would have for an independent, mid-tier, suburban Italian restaurant.
I liked the setting and physical layout: spacious, open, plenty of room at the tables and booths. Nice interior design features and décor.
Our server, a young man, was good and knew the wine list inside out; he knew how to play the goofy but entertaining game of "wine speak"; you'd almost think he was a sommelier-in-training.
As for the food, it was pretty ordinary. Acceptable and enjoyable, but nothing world-famous. Bread was fresh, warm, and soft. I thought the portions for the bruschetta appetizer were rather slight (four small pieces about the size of two wheat thins)"

"The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The sausage & kale soup was delicious, but the minestronie soup was a little too light for my taste. The risotto with the procuitto prawns was a bit drier than I like, but the prawns were tastey and moist. I would definitely go there again to try different items. The service was warm and professional. Enjoyed our early dinner."

"We went for Dine Around Seattle's 3 for $30 menu. It was fine but the caesar salad and the chicken with "prosciutto" (more like thick ham cut up in little squares) were both very mediocre. The chicken was WAY overcooked and dry. The saving grace of the meal was the Caramellata dessert (synonym: creme brulee)."

"The food was great! We were late to our reservation, however they were very accommodating as it was late on a Friday night and the restaurant was not too busy. They did miss one of our salad orders and we had to ask for bread rather than it being brought to us automatically like the other patrons. They made up for it by comping the salad and one of our drinks.

"Food was good and service friendly and relatively efficient. Not outstanding, but very good. We had planned to go for their Happy Hour and reserved a table. Unfortunately they don't provide Happy Hour service in their dining room. Since we already had a table, we just stayed for dinner and though it was pricier than we had planned for what was supposed to be a light dinner and a drink kind of evening, we weren't disappointed."

"Eaten at Spazzo a few times now and I have been consistently impressed with the food, service and ambiance. This time was no exception. While my date said that her chicken was a bit on the dry side, she did like the flavor and the pasta and broccoli were very good. In the end, she had no trouble finishing her meal. My pork was very tasty as were the potatoes. I will say that after tasting her dish, I think I liked the pasta better than the potatoes. For dessert, she said the Creme Brulee was not as creamy as she likes, but for me, the Cannoli was quite tasty. The portion was a bit larger than I needed, though. A good size for sharing I think. Overall a lovely evening enhanced by the food and service."

"Terrible Italian (if it deserves to be called such), quite expensive for what it is, and mediocre service. The food was the real lowlight...ravioli looked and tasted preprocessed, spaghetti sauce tasted unusual and not in a good way, and clam linguini was fairly bland. I don't recommend, and won't be back."

"While the waitress was trying really hard to serve us well, they were understaffed and everything took a long time, including taking back numerous walk-ins ahead of us. They did not honor the fact that we had a reservation. The kitchen ran out of their minestrone soup, and then also forget our salad course, and appetizers. I won't eat there again, and I won't take friends there again. The food isn't worth the trouble."

"We dined at Spazzo because we had a gift certificate. We ordered the bolognese and fettucine ricardo. The bolognese was delicious and the fettucine ricardo was fair. We thought it lacked a bit of flavor. Our overall experience was average. I was expecting a bit more in terms of ambiance, and I cannot say that anything from our experience stood out. We live in Seattle, and given the prices at Spazzo, I think we could have had a more unique experience elsewhere. It felt a bit like going to a chain. Also, when we inquired as to the difference between the small and large plates, our server said she could not tell us because she was not sure how much we could eat, not too helpful."

"We tried Spazzo for a birthday dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The service was quick and very attentive and the food was what we expected from an Italian restaurant. There was a nice variety of choices from appetizers to dessert. Everything we had, including wine, was excellent."

"I was a bit shocked at the absolute terrible service we received. Our waiters didn't greet us for 15 minutes after being seated. The host got us water and when the waitress did come, she didn't ask us what w would like for drinks. Never asked! All the tables seated after us received service right away and many check ins on how they were doing. Also had to ask for a water refill twice before getting it and asked for butter for the bread we got after our food came and it was never brought to the table. Poor service lacking friendliness."

"Had to wait virtually an hour for bread and water. Our order was taken and then the waitress came back 20 mins later to remind her what we ordered again. It was tough to even find the waitress to get out water refilled. Would definitely not recommend to anyone."

"I took my grandaughter to Spazzo for dinner for her 13th birthday....the staff couldn't have been more delightful, from the time we walked in at the front desk to the waitress, who was darling. I'm sorry I cannot remember her name....they made my grandaughter feel very special from the birthday greeting at the front door to the complimentary dessert.....as far as I am concerned they deserve way more than 5 stars. And, booking thru Open Table was quick and easy...."

"The wait staff was helpful and friendly, however seemed very rushed and impatient. The food was ordinary, on the verge of bland, and something most home cooks could prepare themselves. The biggest issue was no bread! I understand that at a lot of places, salads do not come with the meal, but no bread, at an Italian restraunt?"

"Great restaurant. Our server was extremely good and attentive. Very knowledgeable of the menu, wine list and offered suggestions on main courses and apps. Great suggestive selling (a great way for a place to make money and stay in business). Was disappointed the kitchen got backed up and was able to receive the desert our table ordered. When the server came to the table and apologized and mentioned the kitchen was backed up we cancelled the desert order (it had been 10 minutes - waiting on the desert). As a guest, I shouldn't have to hear about the kitchen being backed up, it's not my problem it's the establishments - make it work. Guests don't like hearing excuses."

"Never been to an Italian restaurant before that did not serve a special bread with the meal. The lasagna tasted exactly like Costco, good but not great. My wife's pasta dish noted in the menu to have a specific mushroom, she, with difficulty, was able to find 2 small mushroom pieces of unknown type. Service was not the fault of our waiter, but an extremely slow kitchen. Very loud, poor acoustics. We don't really care for wine so if it is all about the wine we were in the wrong place."
