"This was my first visit and I really liked the ambience! Amy, our server, was very personable and she greeted us with her names as we sat down. The food was really good overall - the grilled atlantic salmon was seasoned to perfection and prepared exactly as I had asked. However, I would recommend that the chef do something different in preparing the cod."

"Very good. We tried this place out for brunch a few months back and my wife couldn't stop talking about it. It was so delicious. We had to try the dinner and we brought a guest with us to share our favorite restaurant. We all shared our meals around the table and everything was delicious, from the steak to the duck and halibut. Everything has an amazing taste."

"I dined here for a celebratory dinner on Sunday evening. Although the weather was rather dreary, the ambiance at Canoe was awesome. Our server Casey was delightful, friendly and attentive without being pushy and knowlegable about the menu in a genuine "I've actually eaten that" kind of way.

"From the originality of the drinks at the bar to the taste explosion of each bite, there is nothing more to say than IMPRESSIVE. The meal was remarkable and surprisingly affordable. Every bite excited the taste buds. Cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Our waiter's personality added the finishing touch to our experience. "We love Canoe. We go there every year for our anniversary and sometimes for other special occasions and we are never disappointed in our experience.
The food is ALWAYS outstanding as is the atmosphere. We had requested a window table and got a table with a fabulous view. Canoe is a great place to go for special occasions like birthdays as they always make the person celebrating feel very special."

"The service, the service, the service.... You have to say it three times because that signature is what you will remember about a visit to Canoe. The food is also simply divine. The chef has a knack for taking an ordinary favorite and transforming it into a tastebud delight. (I just want to mention the caramel popcorn ice cream here because whomever thought of that is simply genius.) The entire menu is great. They serve you like you are royalty, but in a very down home neighborhood type of way. We celebrated...ate to our heart's content...and had an overall great time. All this while overlooking the Chattahoochee River...simply wonderful."

"When you need to take a piece of fresh air outside what Atlanta gives, Canoe ATL is absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I celebrated our 5th anniversary here and we DID NOT regret it. "The service and food are always excellent here. I've been several times for brunch and a couple times for dinner. It is also child friendly for a nice restaurant. At brunch you often see babies in their carriers or highchairs. Definitely get the sticky buns and scones at brunch! The fish dishes here (at brunch and dinner) are some of the best I've ever had (and I've eaten at The Optimist, which is also outstanding). The cocktails are also very good and the wine list substantial. Oh, and definitely save room for the Chocolate Grotto for dessert. Can't wait to go back."

"We took my mom here for a Mother's Day celebration. It was amazing, the food, the staff, the view. I highly recommend Canoe. My sister and daughter didn't see anything that peeked there interest on the menu, and our waitress helped them create their own pasta dish. They really cater to the customer. I have a gluten intolerance and our waitress was more that happy to assist with accommodating my dietary needs."

"I have lived in the greater Atlanta area for nearly six years now and have been waiting for a special occasion to visit Canoe. Now, I'm mad that i waited so long. The location along the river is beautiful. It has a feeling of privacy that makes you feel like you're part of an exclusive club. (Even though it's open to the public) The staff and service was exceptional, and my relatives from out of town were thoroughly impressed. This is a GREAT date night Restaurant! Put Canoe on your "must visit" list of Atlanta restaurants."

"Wow. Attentive and pleasant service. Unique cocktails. The beet appetizer was wonderfully tangy, with a fun texture of firm beets and smooth, creamy goat cheese. The smoked salmon had a rich smoky flavor. The shining star of the evening was the sea scallops - cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth amazing. Everything on the plate worked together to enhance the meal. The steak was good, cooked just right, but it was just a steak. The accompaniments of wasabi mashed potatoes, mushrooms and vidalia onions, made for a very good dish. Desert was just as good as expected - the vanilla bean creme brûlée was creamy and smooth, served on a nice wide dish to maximize the carmelized crust."

"Canoe was highly recommended to be by a friend. It did not disappoint. Service was great, food was great, cocktails were great. We were there to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been better. It was pouring that night but the kind valets held an umbrella over my head as I got out of the car. "My wife and I share a birthday (a stipulation of my significant other search many years ago) and received recommendations for Canoe. I made reservations through OpenTable easily via my iPhone app. Parking looked difficult, but the restaurant has complimentary valet. I think it's a good sign when the parking lot is full, even on a Thursday night. We were immediately seated and the waiter was given a heads up regarding our dual birthday. The recommendations for the appetizers, main courses, and drinks were spot on. I had the smoked salmon and the short ribs - both were among the best I've had, ever. Great view outside; next time I'll come back early to enjoy the patio and have a drink at the outdoors river bar. Great experience!"

"I was in town on business and found Canoe online. I was dining by myself and really enjoyed Canoe because it served upscale food without being stuffy. "I cant say much for the food as I'm not a "fine food" connoisseur. But I was surprised at the less than stellar service. I took a group of 7 for a special occasion. The wait staff was slow. After being seated, the waiter went missing for 30 minutes. We had to wave him over to get drinks. One drink never arrived. Two entrees got switched. Nice atmosphere for sure but not worth the money, considering the service. I expected much more."

"We have always wanted to visit a top rated restaurant in a new state to us. Canoe was on our wish list and it became a reality . The service, ambience and food was top notch.
