Historians note the region for being the starting point for many things we take for granted today like math, science, philosophy, and democracy. Did you know that this region of the world is also home to some of the most exquisite taste too? The Mediterranean is home to not just a diverse diet of regional foods like Feta cheese, lamb chops, olive oils, and wines; but a culture of happiness strengthened through bonds of family, and friendship. At Feta we strive to import that sense of joy, wonder, and community to our new restaurant in downtown Ocala.
Your experience at Feta should be more than one of just eating out, we wish to emulate the feel of the Mediterranean and her peoples by offering a rich dining experience filled with sights, sounds, smells, and good spirits. "Recommend highly the moussaka, greek stirfry salad and vegetable calzone. All delicious, good size portions and so yummy. Brush up on your Greek with the owner/chef. He is fun. Our waitress was excellent and was there to please us - they also have wine tasting before you choose the wine you prefer to order. (The sliders were flavorful, but were cooked too welldone for one of our guests. Overall, I will return to this restaurant. We all enjoyed ourselves, laughed a lot and were well taken care."

"My spouse and I and another couple enjoyed our dinner very much. There was a good selection of food on the menu, which was printed in simple, easily read format. The server was knowledgeable and helpful. My spouse and I had a pork entrée, and the server was very accommodative to offer the same meal served with shrimp in place of the pork to our friends. The background music was actually in the "background", and did not interfere with hearing other people at our table speak."

"I was a bit bummed that the restaurant did nothing for my fiance's birthday celebration. I made a special notation on the online reservation, that it was for a birthday. We also told the waitress. Perhaps this restaurant does not do anything for birthdays, bummer. We also ordered the calamari appetizer and would never do so again as it was very chewy and hardly seasoned. We order calamari everywhere we go as it is a big favorite of ours. With those things said, the rest of the meal was great. I got the sampler and am very glad as it was delicious. Everyone else's meals were as well. Our server was friendly and joked with us."

"salad was wonderful. Two of us shared a sample plate with 5 different foods on it. Two items were yummy and two I didn't care for. One was chicken and I thought it was tastless and not worth eating. Staff was friendly and service was good. The building is old and charming and all I was missing was the Med. Sea. I would go back to this restaurant and try a different lunch."

"We and another couple reserved a table on the 2nd floor. Reservation was received and we were promptly seated. Had some wine and appetizers. Three of us had the greek sampler - Outstanding. My wife had a Gyros sandwich and salad. Even though they usually only have the sandwich at lunch they accomodated her. Desert was the deep fried dough balls with honey, nuts and cinnamon. Waiter was super and knowledgeable. Shared his favorite appetizer which was a winner. This was our second visit here and we will definitely come back again and again. A credit to the restaurant scene in Ocala, FL>"

"Nice place, good service. Glass of wine VERY expensive. Worst Yuro dinner I've ever had, lamb was ground up and fried. It was over done, potatos were greasy and not particularly good. Others in party enjoyed but what my wife and I had was really bad."

"I had the vegetarian pizza. The crust was soggy in the middle. Dinner food with a lunch atmosphere. My husbands meal came to the table before mine. The salad dressing has no taste."

"The Lasagna was fabulous, in fact it was the best I have ever had! Love the greek salad and garlic rolls too! So many great choices to choose from, I had a hard time deciding, but that was a great thing! The portions are huge, so you could even share if you wanted to. I would highly recommend Feta!"

"We had a group of ladies for lunch and most ordered a salad and the only complaint was the dressing left a lot to be desired. There was no flavor at all to the dressing on the table. Ugh! Need to mix something else with the vinegar & oil. Or, offer other dressings? Also, there was no bread offered with the meals. We had to ask for it and then was charged for it! Not a good practice, especially if you only get a salad. Two of the gals ordered something else and they said it was very good!"

"Three times a winner! Really fresh, authentic Greek dishes, made to order. Nothing compares to the excellent moussaka with that perfectly executed bechamel. Our server, Paige, was totally knowledgeable about all the dishes, and her recommendations did not disappoint. There is something for everyone - from Greek pizzas with thick or wonderfully thin crusts to a homemade spanikopita, and a made-at-the-table hummus that was perfectly seasoned served with warm pita bread triangles. This is a true winner for Ocala, a city that has few restaurants of this caliber. Highly recommended for the discriminating palate."
