Russia House Restaurant and Vodka Bar has opened in the heart of Boca Raton on July 3, 2012 by the family run team of David and Sofia Shifrin and Zvika and Elana Zicherman. The family has been in the restaurant business for the past 12 years and has made their mark on the Miami nightlife with their former Russian nightclub Sugar Rush and restaurant Lula Kebab House in Sunny Isles.
They have now brought their expertise to Boca Raton with a new venture Russia House. The restaurant captures modernist Russian style decor with old-world Russian dolls and photos of Moscow and St. Petersburg The cuisine is classic Russian prepared by our Ukrainian Executive Chef and his team. Guests may enjoy classic specialties such as Chicken Kiev and Beef Stroganoff along with black and red Caviar with blinis among many other dishes.
"The food was exceptional and moderately priced. Portions were large enough that sharing is a good idea. We had Chicken Kiev and Beef Stroganof to test them on standards. Excellent. Borscht and a large oval platter of pickled herring with hot red potatoes for appetizers were also excellent. Seventy Vodka varieties - we went with Stoli and Beluga brands on the rocks - both excellent. Finally, sour cherry Varenki (like pierogi but thinner dough) for dessert was enough for four and superb. More people have to learn of this new (6 months old) dining delight in the Center of Boca Raton."

"wish we werre more than 2 in order to try more thingson the menu. we started with eggplant rollups, which are served cold with 2 different types of fillings. excellent but quite large with 5 pieces. our dinners were beef stroganoff and a butterflied cornish hen which was crispy with loads of garlic.. both delicious. very good service as well. we will return as there are many other items on the menu to try!"

"We were not familiar with Russian food. The excellent server (Michel) lead us through. We tried 5 appetizers and they were not only delicious, but filling. We will be back, and often. The owner was rotating on the floor, and very pleasant, professional, and educational."

"First time we tried this with other couples. The consensus was the same with everyone. Food was ok not great. Tried different things. Chicken was not tender and no real flavor. Lamb was ok buy didn't come out very hot. The appetizers were good. The service was very slow. My water was not refilled my drink glass went empty and most notably it took over 1 hour for our dinner to finally come out and it was not very warm. They call themselves a vodka bar but they had no vodka menu and could not help much in talking about special drinks. They had some sort of singer there that came up and sang an occasional song in a very strange lit disco room. One person had the beef stroganoff and thought it was good."

"We had a delightful evening at the Russia House. Our waiter was charming, had an outstanding sense of humor, and was very attentive, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We were able to enjoy conversation and laughter with our friends.
I would highly recommend the lemon drop martini. The soup with "big balls" was delicious as were the salmon appetizer and blini. The chicken kiev and lamb on a skewer were deliciousas well. Portions were generous but we forced ourselves to eat desert, a blini concoction with ice cream. It was worth the calories. We will be back"

"Fantastic service. Food was good we tried appetizers to get an idea of different dishes. Waiter was very helpful. Dumplings came in a tureen which kept them warm. Very tasty. Eggplant appetizer was very good. Herring was salty to our taste but other tables seemed to like it. Definitely worth the trip. Chicken bikini was very good also"

"Great in all respects, from the friendly and infomative bartender, who really knows her vodkas to the waiter who was eager to talk and explain the menu and introduce us to his brother who an expert in plaff (its not on the menue}, to the excellent food. The cabbage rolls were soooo good. I would call the dish stuffed cabbage, but the cabbage is shredded and inside. Cant wait to go back"

"We were a party of six. Very slow service, had to get up and find the waiter to ask about when the food would be ready as well as for more water. Worst was one of our group's food was cold. Had also to find the waiter to bring that to his attention. The diner was heated but arrived when everyone had finishe their meals. Most restaurants would have taken the meal off the check or at least offered some desert. There might have been a staffing problem that night, but just bring it to our attention. We were all business owners and could understand shortage of personel. Like the "Meatloaf" song 5 out of 6 aint bad."

"Russia House was awesome. The food was great. I had ukrainian borscht and my wife had the soup of the day which was a traditional russian chicken meatball soup. We had the Sovetskoe champagne which is superior to any other champagne in my opinion...it's very bubbly. I had the beef stroganoff and my wife had the lamb shishlik that was on special...4 big pieces of lamb served on a skewer (that they removed for her when it was delivered) and fried garlic potato slices. I also had the Berry Kompot that was delicious. They had live entertainment. (Woman singing russian songs and moving about the restaurant at times) Later we even danced to a few songs. The waiters were very animated and knowledgeable. Try this place instead of Italian one night."
