Located in the Loop in the historic 35 East Wacker Drive Building. The fare is traditional Irish and grill favorites. Serving Lunch, Dinner, Late Night and Weekend Brunch.
"I was torn on my review as the food is excellent (Shepard's pie and corned beef are fantastic!!) but the service is horrible!!! The manager sat near us at the bar while we waited for over 20 minutes to just get a drink. We were ignored by other servers, apparently they do not like to help their fellow servers. Hopefully they'll get their act together with the service because the food is fantastic. I will go back and pray I get a drink much faster than last time. The bus boys are quite eager so hold on to your drink if you are not done with it!"

"Great spot for client lunch meeting. Easy to hold conversations without too much noise. Good menu & food. Service was a little slow, but we were not on a time constraint."

"Emerald Loop is a true gem in the Loop. They have great service, and both a great dining experience and bar scene. For food, you have to get Chicken Nachos for an app to split for a group. They are so huge they could easily be an entree for two hungry people-- and they come on a silver platter! delicious. The pulled chicken really makes it. All of the other apps and entrees I've had have also been delicious.
The service was wonderful. The server was busy but was very attentive and friendly. We had a group of 6 and he split the check across 6 cards for us without a fuss- so appreciated!
They also offer a theatre employee discount for loop theatre employees with proof/ID."

"If you want a good drink, watch some sports and nibble on the side, this place is OK. If you want to sit down for a quick meal, then you might go elsewhere. It's noisy. Food isn't all that good. But service was efficient and friendly"

"We met for brunch on a Sunday. The brunch buffet, at $10, is a great bargain, and it has all the basics you could want, including made-to-order omelets. Sadly, the pancake syrup is fake maple, but otherwise, we were satisfied. I'd like to return for a later meal like dinner."

"Some friends and I made reservations at Emerald Loop on St. Patrick's day to try and enjoy the Irish festivities. While the food and atmosphere were great, the service was not. Our server did not make any effort to pay attention to our table. We frequently had to request that our waters be refilled, and the waitress did not come around to ask if we needed anything. When my friend politely reminded our waitress that he had ordered a beer, she responded with "I'm trying," with a rude attitude, rather than apologizing for the delay. Additionally, when she gave my friend the wrong beverage, she refused to correct the issue, and again was rude. The meal itself was great, but I have NEVER had such a condescending waitress."

"The menu has a variety of interesting choices and I really liked the "make your own Mac and Cheese". It is a fun atmosphere; more of a beer place than wine. The wine selection is limited. The menu prices are reasonable.
Our waiter did not pour our wine. He said the restaurant was not "high scale" enough for him to pour, only to uncork. Never heard that one before. Other than that the service was attentive enough."

"Good. hearty, homestyle Irish food with an extravagant mac n cheese selection. Great bar area with TVs but still a nice eating atmosphere in the restaurant area. Phenomenal location on Wabash and Wacker near the River, central loop, and many CTA stops. Great for lunch or after work drinks. Only downside is the drinks and food could be priced lower but it is most likely the location you are paying for. Definitely worth checking out."

"Emerald Loop is great for lunch and happy hour. Not so good for a group dinner where you want to have conversation. We had to ask them to turn down the music and TVs (which they were nice enough to do). The food was fine, but not memorable."
