"A group of four dined here recently on a Saturday night and loved this spot. The pasta dishes are excellent. The space is beautiful especially with the evening spring light streaming in. Our server was knowledgeable and charming. Overall, we had an amazing night. We will return!"

"Strada 241 is a gorgeous gem on Spadina with exposed brick and Arthur Goss photographs of Toronto. But don't judge a book by its cover. All 4 diners in our party had mediocre to bad food experiences. We even had to send back the Pinot Grigio. The rapini appetizer was overloaded with chili peppers and was inedible. The pizza margheritas were completely boring. They "ran out" of draft beer at our 7:30pm reservation time. Only saving grace was a lovely Caesar salad. What a big disappointment from the Rubino franchise."

"Atmosphere is clean and modern with exposed brick walls, high ceilings and expansive space. 3 friends had lunch and we were able to linger without pressure. Noise level was minimal as there were not many diners. Probably would be loud with a full house. We each had a pizza - all were excellent if a bit pricey. Crust was awesome and toppings top quality. Try the meatball and basil version - delicious and garlicky with nice tomato topping. Servers were super friendly but each table had 3 different servers and 1 drink was forgotten until another server noticed. Would definitely go back. Great addition to Spadina hood north of Queen with alternate choice to usual Chinese."

"Amazing food, with fantastic service to boot. Outstanding waiting service, (with a waiter whose pronunciation of the Italian menu would make Pavoratti blush)."

"Nous avons trouvé ce restaurant par hasard, mais le hasard fait très bien les choses. Le menu est simple mais varié. La nourriture était excellente. Peu importe ce que vous prendrez vous ne vous tromperez pas. Le décor est parfait et chaleureux. Les employés super sympathique."

"Went as a group of 5 for a birthday party. Disappointing evening. Food is on the pricey side but nothing to write home about. Limited wine menu that is very expensive. Service was indifferent. Would not recommend."

"Food was great and reasonably priced. Large gap between appetizers. When we arrived there weren't as many people in the open kitchen, by the time we left they had much more staff. Perhaps we came too early at 7? Food was simple and perfect. Great pizzas. We were not able to finish the pizzas and ended up taking home almost a whole pizza. Loved the spaghetti myself. Get the calamari app!"

"Our server was delightful and knowledgable about the wine and fine details of the menu and he gave great recommendations. Have been here a couple times and am never disappointed. Serving sizes are great for the price and the food is delicious gourmet."

"The restaraunt was fun and the food was good. The menu was limited and they had run out of the calamari which was disappointing but, overall everyone enjoyed their dinner."

"The ambiance is fantastic for a relaxed, informal italian inspired meal. The layout and seating arrangements are very cool as well. We had a dinner reservation and arrived at 7 to a fairly empty room, but soon enough the place was packed. I especially appreciated that the music was not very loud, and despite the place being full, I didn't feel like I was having to shout over the background noise. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend this place, will be back for sure."

"Food was tasty and presented well. Ordered a bottle of wine and several dishes for three people, including apps, pizza, cheese, and meats. Service was friendly but slow. It was hard to track down our server at times (e.g., to order main dishes, to get new cutlery, to get the bill, etc.) Atmosphere was relaxed yet lively. I liked the overall vibe. I would try this place again."

"Casual and free of pretention, Strada 241 was not busy on a Tuesday night. Certainly an anomaly for an area like the southern edge of Chinatown, but a welcome one to the neighbourhood. Attentive, but not obtrusive, service and delightful pizzas. Beautiful high ceilings with brick and wood interiors. Seating is set up well for big groups, would need to see how service would fare in that case."

"Enjoyed our dinner this evening, walked in and the place was a little empty, so we were a little concerned. The staff were friendly and professional, very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. I had the fish soup as an appetizer while a co-worker had the shrimp since they were out of Calamari. The fish soup was excellent with Clams, Mussels and Shrimp, taste and I really enjoyed it. Had a pizza for dinner it was excellent, my c-workers had a pizza and the other had a fettuccini (little heavy on the mushrooms) but was very nice. The pizzas were great and I would highly recommend it! We’ll be back!"

"Really liked the decor and design, great open kitchen concept. However, a few pizzas were burned and had to be remade (incl mine), and a bit empty (esp bar section) on a Friday night which is slightly worrisome. Good service, our Italian waiter was friendly."

"The dessert was delicious, best part of the meal. The pizza combinations were a bit odd. Potato, rosemary and green olives - the olives overpowered the pizza. My pizza was overloaded with ingredients the meats, I like quantity but all I could taste was salty meat. Rapini slightly overdressed. I would go to Gusto 101 instead on King West."

"Great Valentines dinner place! My boyfriend and I ordered a antipasto-style meat plate to share and had drinks and dessert. I would STRONGLY RECCOMEND the Hazelnut mousse dessert in the jar!! Beautiful as it is delicious and perfect for sharing. We are planning to come back for the cafe, and to try their pizzas and pastas!
Note: if you are planning on wearing heels, the floor is quite uneven - as it is beautiful old hardwood and quite smooth - so watch out!"

"We made a fairly early reservation and would have preferred to be seated in a booth, but were given a table for two in the centre . Other booths only had two people sitting in them, and one or two were available - we would have liked the same treatment.
Food was delicious."

"This was our third time since January at Strada 241. It took over an hour to get our entree. I was annoyed to have paid for that entree, especially when our waitress left us alone for that hour, and only apologized for the "mixup in the kitchen" after we chose not to leave a tip. Although the food was delicious, the service left something to be desired. I doubt we will be back."

"I had high expectations due to previous reviews I had read. Some of the food stood out (caesar salad) but most was mediocre and somewas not very good. The mushroom linguini for example was supposed to he served with an Alfredo sauce but tasted like oil and overwhelmingly of lemon. And 2 of the 3 pizzas had soggy crusts in the middle and were almost soupy."

"The appetizers were great but found the main course pizza tastless and doughy. We asked to have the crust cooked more and will much resistance they did it but it did not make much difference. The service was friendly but not focused for pouring wine etc. We took friends there as a thank you dinner and we were unfortunately disappointed."

"High ceilings and restored industrial surroundings make Strada a gem for downtowners. The staff know their stuff; the food is more than run-of-the-mill Italian; and you'll have a good time before heading out into the Brownian motion that is Spadina Ave. (I always choose a booth, but I think the other seats would work too)."

"We read the reviews, thought it would be worth try & were really pleased with our overall experience. It's not fine dining but it's not meant to be either. Food was great (rapini salad was a bit overdressed for our taste, salumi board deslish although an explanation of what each was would've been appreciated & pizza's were both fantastic & a good size for sharing) . Service was good (occasionally our server got overwhelmed with the room but was very personable & made sure to check in before we really needed). The space is very cool and is no doubt going to be (is?) a hot spot for lunch/coffee. We will definitely go back & bring more friends."

"I've now been a few times and each time the food has been really good. Great pizzas and pastas. My friend loved the breakfast pizza, while I preferred the frittata, but both were really good. Not crazy about the couple of 'two-top' tables on the right near the back - feels a little like you're sitting in the walkway. If they're heading there with you, opt to sit at the chef's bar instead - comfortable seating and you get a show with dinner!"
