Kalani's is located in the beautiful setting of the Marriot Village. Kalani's is one of Tahoe's premier locations serving Hawaiian seafood, ribs, steaks and sushi. Kalani's offers nightly happy hour in the Puka lounge from 4pm-6pm. Full dinner menu, sushi and full bar served nightly starting at 5:00 pm.
"My wife and I and a friend dined here on a Saturday evening. The place was busy but not overly so. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Our server was pleasant and interacted with us quite well. Based on her recommendations, my wife and her girlfriend split the chicken breast entree. I opted for the Opah (fish) entree.
My wife's chicken breast was really undercooked. We had an issue with the time it took to get her a new plate and the fact that we were made to feel like it was our fault. The cost of the entree was removed from the bill as expected. If our server or the manager had been a little more diligent in stopping by our table it would have mitigated the situation."

"Our family has been visiting the Heavenly gondola location yearly since it was built, annual+ visitor to lake tahoe for over 20 years, yet we have never visited this restaurant for a meal. We decided to try only new locations this season. Kalani's was a pleasant surprise. Early dinner accomodating reservations, friendly staff, and the food was excellent. We plan to add this to our last of regular stops to future visits."

"This place was 3.5 out of 5, but I am giving it 4 because of the excellent service, thank you Tara. I found the prices a bit on the high side, especially for Tahoe. I understand it caters to the tourists and Heavenly crowd, so it's much more of a "special occasion" restaurant for the locals."

"We made a last minute decision to stop here for sushi. While it was not the best we've ever had, it was very good. They have a wide selection of choices plus many other menu items. We decided to sit in the bar and our service was outstanding. I believe it was Melissa who took care of us and she was great. The drinks were also outstanding. The banana spring roll dessert was a solid choice."

"The main attraction with Kalani's is the location - right in Heavenly Village close to the Marriott hotels and the Heavenly Gondola. The food was good, but it was very expensive - not an option for a family looking for a reasonably priced dinner out. While menu prices were upscale, the dress code was not. Come relaxed - most folks were dressed that way. Service was great though and overall we had a great experience. Would we go there again? Maybe, if we wanted good food close to the hotel (no driving)."

"We arrived 40 mins. early but they seated us within 20 minutes after an Old Fashioned and Guinness at the bar. Reservations through OpenTable usually yield a table on the outer extremities of the service area. This time my wife sat with her back to the display window, and the gap in the wall behind the reception area let a cool draft from the 20-degree outdoors in on her left shoulder. Our waitress Chelsea was pleasant and ever-attentive. Her timing on returning to our table was impeccable. The seared scallops, sushi and sashimi with a nice warm sake were fresh and great. We recommend the chocolate mousse cake for dessert."

""Reminiscent of a Hawaiian P.F. Chang", was how my wife described Kalani's. we were quickly shown to our table, drinks arrived promptly, waitress was polite and chatty. The food was surprisingly good, 'though very plentiful. They have a good beer and wine list. For the après ski crowd, this is the kind of place you want; Kalani's knows it punters well. My wife was spot on with her summary ..."

"We've eaten at Kalani's several times, and have never been disappointed. Very good menu selections along with specials. The service is what makes this resturant so memorable. Superb service, from the greeting at the front door to the wait staff and assistants...never a complaint with service."

"WORST sushi rolls we have EVER had. So bad we didn't even eat them. My husband actually ate the rest of our daughter's chicken fingers, while I had the rest of our other daughter's pasta. Terrible. The high lights were the cocktails, and the kids really liked their food. The staff is very friendly and kids get a little appetizer of crackers and cheese sticks, which was great for them. We also had the edamame and seaweed salad, which were both fine, but we would never, ever order and sushi rolls from here again, ever."
